Don’t do it

Don’t do it. They appear friendly and approachable at first but once you’re locked into the 6 month agreement they will take your money. By any means necessary. They’ll even threaten you with debt collectors. Get a temporary job elsewhere and try and start your own PT business. Do not affiliate with them.

A relief to be done with them

A real shame. For a full picture, they have good connections, good CPD and a small few very supportive people on board.

BUT
This is sadly hugely overshadowed by their cutthroat, money driven approach. In a big city, you will probably be ok as long as there is an abundance of clients. However I am in a small town with a much more challenging capture of clients. The gym I was in required a slow burn approach to building a client base and YPTs model of pay up or else was only adding financial pressures to an already super difficult situation. Eventually there were threats of debt collectors to recover the money I didn't have and could not earn, zero compromise from their side, all whilst I was having to get a job elsewhere just to pay monthly rent for a gym I couldn't even train in myself. Happily I have now cut ties however they continue to walk other PT's into a site that simply does not offer the footfall to make a small business work.
What a business model for them: Charge a huge amount to PT's and Operators for the privilege of handing money from one to the other, dressed up in a 'Progress your career' set up. You will also be encouraged to sign on with Applied Nutrition to become a funnel to pull in more cash.
I don't like to leave such a review as this but I struggle to express the amount of stress this company has caused me. Sadly they have most of the big gyms tied up with their brand but my advice is to do everything you can to avoid them.

Quite a bizarre experience being interviewed for job with no pay and just paying rental charges.
What blew my mind was that I cannot work freelance under my own name only the yourpt banner....bad vibes stayed clear

Read Contract before agreeing!

Highest rent fee in most of London.
Your Personal Training not looking out for YOU! They only selling you to profit of you as you will be offered a position straight away in one of their gyms they provide for as most the PTs leave once they can't pay the rent( inside info)
Contract is absurd for any upcoming personal trainers new to the sector or established PTs.

Do not sign with a PT agreement with this company

Completely agree with Travis.

What went wrong?
Misled me into signing a contract with no exit clause. Do not sign a PT agreement with this company unless you have trained at the gym you are interested in for at least a month. Make sure it is a viable location for your small business. There is zero realistic support you are given from your mentors. It is merely a tick-box exercise to say they have met with you. The business setup is designed to make money from you through rent, paying to attend conferences (which they fail to mention are paid events), and selling you CPDs (which you can buy from anywhere). They claim their contractual obligations are limited to a £100 voucher, gym access and two t-shirts - everything else said on the call to entice you to join is baloney.

How can they improve?
Create a realistic exit route for trainers in the contract, making it clear that the centre's membership is not viable for a full-time PT business.

Get data on the centres you contract PTs to, and calculate rent based on the number of concession memberships offered vs. total memberships.

Create a mentorship structure and define "SUPPORT."

Awful experience with one of their PT

After attending for several years my neighbour gym (Better Highbury), I decided to go with a personal trainer from yourpersonaltraining (Lenka Pirova). It aw an awful experience: laughing at customer when they can't do an exercice, bodyshaming them, I almost fainted and felt sick during one session. Yourpersonaltraining vet PT with no minimal standard of profesionalism. To absolutely avoid!
