Misleading and Unethical Billing
I was charged for an automatic annual renewal for software I barely remember using and had canceled before the new subscription period began. Despite submitting the cancellation prior to the start of the renewal term and before the charge was finalized, the company refused to issue a full refund and only offered a partial refund.
The company sent a single renewal email that went to my spam folder, and I had no prior indication that this was an ongoing subscription. The software was used briefly after the initial purchase, which I understood to be a one-time charge. A year later, without any meaningful notice, they processed an automatic renewal.
This practice is misleading and unethical. I canceled before the renewal period started, yet they still charged my card and refused to fully refund the amount. I am requesting a full refund and confirmation that my account will not be billed again.
