3 Hammers Golf Complex Avis 

I’ve been using Three Hammers for around three years and, unfortunately, I’ve watched it decline significantly during that time.

For golfers who genuinely want to improve their game through structured practice, routines, and focused sessions, the range has become increasingly difficult to use. On many visits, it feels less like a golf practice facility and more like a social venue. Large groups are drinking alcohol, sometimes to the point of obvious intoxication, renting clubs simply to hit balls as hard as possible, and creating a noisy, disruptive atmosphere.

The result is an environment where it’s very difficult to concentrate or work on your game seriously. What is most disappointing is the apparent lack of action from management. It feels as though maintaining a quality practice environment has become secondary to maximising revenue.

To make matters worse, Three Hammers is one of the most expensive driving ranges in the area, yet in my opinion it now offers one of the poorest experiences for dedicated golfers.

Between myself and a group of 4–5 regular golfers, we’ve spent thousands of pounds here over the years. Sadly, the experience has deteriorated to the point where none of us intend to return.

It’s a real shame, because this used to be a venue I’d happily recommend.

Had a fitting this morning with Jack. Great experience. Jack fit me into a great clubhead and shaft combination. Very good communication, each change was explained clearly with use of the Trackman data. Jack made strong recommendations and also allowed me to experiment a little. Would happily recommend.

I am writing to raise a concern regarding my recent visit to your store. I would like this complaint to remain anonymous.
During my time in the shop, I experienced very poor customer service from a member of staff named Max. Throughout the majority of my visit, he appeared disengaged and was frequently on his phone, showing little to no professionalism. Despite clearly being aware that I was waiting for assistance, he made no effort to acknowledge or help me.
I found his behaviour to be dismissive and discourteous, which is disappointing given the reputation of your store. As a customer, I expect at the very least to be acknowledged and assisted in a timely and professional manner.
Fortunately, another member of staff—whose name I unfortunately did not catch—eventually stepped in to assist me. Had this not happened, I would have felt compelled to escalate the matter further at the time by requesting to speak with a manager.
As someone with experience in retail, I understand the importance of delivering a high standard of customer service. I would strongly recommend that this member of staff receives further training to improve their customer service skills and professionalism.
I hope you will take this feedback seriously and use it to improve the experience for future customers.

Booked a full bag fitting with Joe who was very helpful making suggestions with regards irons, shafts etc.
He also helped with gapping into hybrids and fairway woods.
Joe recommended I stick with my current Driver rather than trying to sell me the latest and (very) expensive model which is a credit to him.
He then sorted out the correct types of grips I needed before confirming the part exchange values of my current clubs.
All in all a good experience

I purchased a set of ping golf clubs and had a custom fitting (no extra charge for this). Harry was patient and knowledgeable and I had a wonderful experience getting fitted and picking a new set of irons! The whole team there were fantastic and can’t recommend them enough. Also as a female golfer, very knowledgable about the women’s ranges as well.

Tried to book a family meal here for 30 family members for my step sons birthday lady on phone was very rude cancelled my booking and told me no it annouces online it’s a fun friendly pub kids allowed till 9 pm but she said no because of children? I wouldn’t advise here for family events

Absolutely disgusted at the customer service
Went to practice on the driving range
Asked how it works and was amazed that the man behind desk just pointed at prices and said that’s what you got to pay and never explained anything
So I asked how does it work he just said go to bay 13 and we will bring you balls
I went to the bay set up and waited he then came with a basket of balls just put them in the floor and walked off
Seems I’m being picky but that took 5 minutes and I only booked bay for 25 minutes so I was down 5 minutes already I practiced a few shots and machine wasn’t feeding my balls I went to ask but no one there went back to bay and machine wasn’t working again played in then a woman came and told me my time was up wow I played a full 15 minutes definitely won’t be going back I’ve been numerous times before but definitely won’t return with this new format in place plus I don’t think it’s just me as half the bays were empty and I’ve never known that before
Shame really as it’s nice and local to practice but never again

On arrival from sunny Kettering I had a warm welcome from the staff. I had tried a Cobra driver with assistance from Richard. He has a good attitude and comes across friendly. Mostly he gave good advice and reassurance on my purchase. The American golf brand is certainly as good as Kettering was back in the day. The whole setup “complex “ I found was just perfect.💚⛳️

This was the first time visiting Golf Shop & I felt in was outstanding in many areas.
Well positioned shop that lots of equipment & staff that were first class, knowledgeable that gave me confidence to have a fitting for some new irons.
I enjoyed the time spent with Max Rowlands on the range and the discussion we had around club selections, finally I placed an order for some Jpx 925 forged irons.
Tried them out today brilliant thanks & well done to all.🤩

Visited to look at golf bags as a complete novice and came away feeling very happy. Harry was helpful and informative and I feel I came away with an excellent value for money product that could serve me well as I hopefully improve.

Dealt with Richard today and bought new irons and 3 wood. Great service showed items and let me think, no hassle and very happy with purchase.

Booked crazy golf only about an hour ago (9.30am on 22/08/24) and I now can't go. I have been told that I can't have a refund, but I can either rebook or have credit to book later. I have to go to see my mum as she's not well and is 87. So any short notice calls about her health I have to react fairly quickly. Companies are becoming lazy nowadays with regards to refunds and just want to hold onto customers money at all costs. I certainly won't use this company again. Very poor customer service!!!

Went tonight for tea to celebrate my 65th Birthday and my Dad’s 89th Birthday. Absolutely appalling! The service was diabolical we waited for an hour for them to come and take the orders. The waitress came back 10 minutes later to say no Gammon and no fillet steak! It then took another 10 minutes to come back to take the replacement order. Food came out there were items missing off plates, things on plates that shouldn’t have been there. All the meat was cold but so were the plates. The extras that were ordered had to be asked for! The manager was called over, he was rude and patronising. All in all this spoilt our birthday celebrations. We did not wait to order desserts as did not want to be disappointed again. Came away after eating virtually nothing. Will not be going again for sure

Cheese and pickle baguette was horrendous was produced from cook your own baguette had next to no cheese tasted horrible service was none existent wish I hadn’t stopped waste of £12

I visited the golf store to get a present for my auntie who had previously shown me something she liked. I was able to show a member of staff Richard the picture who directed me in the right place to where it was. He was friendly and welcoming and definitely makes a great salesman. All the staff are really friendly and helpful in there but Richard stood out on my recent visit. I will definitely recommend the store.

I’m trying to improve my golf and it came to the time where I bit the bullet and had a lesson.

From speaking to numerous people I booked a lesson with Meghan who was extremely polite and welcoming.

During the lesson Meghan gave me different tips and by the end I was hitting the ball more consistently. I can’t recommend Meghan highly enough and I am looking forward to my next lesson.

Clive you were an absolute legend- thanks for sorting out my grip!! Great service and great advice from a true pro.

Clive at American Golf was very helpful helping me choose presents for a friend who is into golf, which I really appreciated as I’m not up to date with the sport. Clive helped me choose deals keeping within the price range I was aiming for. My friend loved the gifts. Thank you very much :)

Polite staff, nice surroundings but.... Recently had a breakfast here, the bacon (1 rasher) looked like it had been found on the car park, beans cold, not impressed, total rip off price, won't be back anytime soon
