Sidekick doesn't work. Customer service terrible!!
I received the 4Patriot Sidekick generator. Charged it completely and then a couple weeks later when we went to use the AC inputs. They didn't work. We plugged in several different items with different watts....it just didn't work. I called 4Patriot and asked to return the generator for a refund. They said they would email a FedX return shipping label and to let them know when it was on the way with a tracking number. After a few days of not receiving the label I called back. The 1st person had given me her ext. so I could let her know the tracking number, the ext. just took me to anyone. The next person I spoke to said we had a really poor connection, confirmed my phone number and said he would call me RIGHT back.....never did. The next person I spoke to said FedX just picked up information for my return and I would have my label that day............not!!!
I am being given the run-a-round.

After the response from 4Patriots below I promptly replied that I had not received a return label from FedEx and gave them an alternate email to use along with the one we had been corresponding on. No reply, no FedEx label!!!!!!

A horrible product
A horrible product. Folding solar panels cracked from temperature change. You HAVE to buy one of their waaaaay overpriced solar panels since it is a proprietary jack. Total junk. Going back to Bluetti despite 4Patriots marketing themselves as a GREAT AMERICAN PRODUCT.

Multiple Generator Failure
The deals they offer are generally good, and I've spent several thousands of dollars with this company, and I'm beginning to regret that. When I first got my Patriot power generator, there were issues with the cords - they had me send it back and sent me a new one. It worked a couple times when we had small, short term power outages. My power sidekick failed when I needed it for the heater for my chickens, and they had me send it back and it was replaced... Okay, things happen. I even bought their kit with the battery extension and HEMP hardened storage bag to protect the generator. I pulled it out today and the generator, power block (battery extension), and Patriot power side kick all failed - none would turn on. I attached the solar panels to the generator and it turned on, read 65%, then turned off. Once the power came back on, I have plugged in the generator, power block, and Patriot power sidekick and none seem to be charging - indicating an internal battery failure. I have emailed and called 4patriots, waiting for call back and resolution. Even if they replace the items at this point (all within warranty, mind you) how can I trust these items when I need them? The frustration is real.

If I could give 10 negative stars, I would. Do not trust this lying, thieving company under any circumstances. I bought a solar generator from them, paid over $3000. Was suppose to get the payment plan but they put the entire amount on my credit card. This caused my credit card company to freeze my card because the amount went over my credit balance, charged fees for the overage, ruined my credit score. Their solution was to return everything first before they could fix it. I refused due the amount of people who reviewed this stupid practice and trusted these theives by returning everything. Found six different reviews who trusted them, sent it back and found that 4PATRIOTS now had their money AND their returned items. Trying to get through by phone to 4PATRIOTS is a horror show. Spent two hours on hold each time I tried, only to be cut off and had to start over. I have reported them to the FTC but they must have a strong lobby because I have heard nothing back. If you need a generator, go to ECOFLOW or BLUETTI or JACKERY. DO NOT BUY FROM 4PATRIOTS. Tell your friends and relatives to avoid them. If the govt won't help, then hit them where it hurts and stop buying from them. Let's put them out of business, especially since they don't care who how they treat customers or who they hurt with practices they refuse to improve.
MY ANSWER TO 4PATRIOTS REPLY : As usual, you are lying again to cover your deceptive practices. I did not go online to order. I called you directly. Your rep charged the whole amount to my card, after promising me the payment plan. This was your intent the whole phone call. Get your money, screw the customer. Your polite reply, pretending care for my frustration is pure BS. Your reply implies it was my error via your website? Are you a bunch of morons? You must be because hundreds of reviews on your customer treatment found on the BBB, Pissed Consumer, Consumer Reports and TrustPilot, all expose you for what you really are. Every time I can get someone to spend $3200 with ECOFLOW, BLUETTI or JACKERY, then I'm doing my part to protect people from being cheated and abused by 4PATRIOTS. The word is out on you and you continually prove you don't support your products. You deserve this review and all the other bad ones people are writing about 4PATRIOTS. You can't cover up your deceptive practices with polite replies anymore. We are not falling for it.

I received a reply from Food 4 Patriots. I'm unable to leave a reply with them directly, so I'll answer them here. Those 2 containers were stored properly in the coolest room in my house for 8 yrs. Then after I moved, they were stored in a basement for 3 yrs. I'm still not convinced that your food lasts 25 yrs.

This is pointless as survival food
This is pointless as survival food. In an actual emergency you probably wouldn't have access to a working stove, plentiful water, or be able to adjust your heat settings to simmer. The food is only loosely based on real food...and everything comes bulk packed in a giant bag which is not resealable. Just store some canned goods, better, cheaper, and doesn't require cooking.

While the provided cooking instructions are intended for standard kitchen use, our survival food can absolutely be prepared over a campfire, camp stove, or similar heat source. Many of our customers successfully use it while camping and report great results. As long as you have access to clean water and a heat source, you're good to go!
Regarding the serving counts per pouch, the choice to package multiple servings together is intentional. This approach helps keep both the cost and the weight of the kits lower. Each pouch clearly lists the measurement for a single serving to help with portioning.
Because environmental conditions like heat and humidity greatly impact the potential for mold or bacteria growth, we cannot guarantee food safety once a pouch has been opened. However, if the pouch is resealed and stored in a cool, dry place, the food can remain fresh for weeks. Always inspect your food before consuming it—if you notice any unusual odor, flavor, appearance, or visible mold, it's best to discard it.

Just another money hungry company claiming to help Families.
Took advantage of their buy 1 get 2 free deal on the basic 72 hour emergency food pack. The first time I only ordered 2 because I wanted to verify the legitimacy. I paid shipping for each “deal” which was $14.95 each. They shipped them together and kept the extra shipping, which I let go, because I was still impressed with the value. Once receiving my food I was very excited and went back to order more! I ordered 6 packs this time which would come to 18 total bags. The website said I got free shipping since my order was over $100, I paid roughly $145. GREAT DEAL. I could finally build up our families stock pile!! Received my package yesterday and to my dismay only received 6 packs. I’ve been back and forth through email several times and just keep getting repeated script. “You didn’t order from the promotion you ordered the basic pack”. Granted, the basic pack IS what’s on the promotion. No difference at all. And they keep repeating that they only allow one promo per person. Also not true considering they sent the first 2 orders with no issue and pocketed the extra shipping. I even offered to pay an extra $89 ($14.95 shipping per pack) so that I could receive the remaining 12 packs I should have received. Again they tell me one promo per family, again not true. So now I’m out $150 with a tiny fraction of what I believed I was ordering. I DO NOT RECOMMEND 4PATRIOTS and their customer service is horrible, may as well be talking to a robot. Maybe it is. Who knows. Very un American and very much not family friendly. They in fact, do not care as they claim.

The types and styles of Generators…
The types and styles of Generators change all the time. One ad is one Watt of Generator and the next ad, it is another. Each ad pushes one type of Generator or a set of Generators and it is never the same. They keep switching the types of Generators during their ad's and you never know if you are getting the best deal or current Solar Generator. This really pisses me off each time I see one of their ads...We are led to believe we are getting the best deal, but then the next e-mail we receive there is even an even better deal. We feel ripped off and not appreciated by 4Patriots in these boondogles....

I purchased this as a Vet
I purchased this as a Vet, which their commercials claim they support. It says that this is an American made product. Guess what. They lied! Chinese. This older unit doesn’t hold power well at all. I’ll charge it all the way up then unplug it. Without it being used, a month later the power has bled down to 53%! About the only thing this sidekick is good for is powering your cellphone. I used it when the power went out to power my router so I would have internet. It lasted 1.5 hours. Don’t buy!

Solar generators and solar panels
I have bought some solar generators from 4 Patriots. If a solar generator is not used very often the battery can fail and lose its ability to hold electricity. That happened with most of my generators. 4 Patriots should have generators with replaceable batteries so if it fails the customer only needs a new battery and can remove the failed battery and install the new battery. The generators that are heavy should have wheels to help move it. There should be high quality solar panels to charge the generator fast even when the weather is cloudy. The 40 watt solar panel works under clouds and in the shade.

To help prolong the life of the battery in your unit, we recommend recharging it every 3-6 months. Lithium batteries don't perform well when left in a completely discharged state for extended periods. If you're encountering any specific issues with your unit(s), please don't hesitate to contact our customer service team. Regarding the solar panel, our 100-watt panel is capable of recharging the unit on a cloudy day, but please note that it will take longer than on a sunny day. If you're looking for a quicker recharge time, you have the option to daisy chain additional panels to speed up the process.

These generators are very overpriced And designed for scheduled obsolescence.
4 patriot does not support their older units or provide repairs or parts. It is very difficult to get anyone to work on these and basically if they break after the warranty, they are a paperweight.
It seems that they are praying upon fears of the people they say they’re there to help their sales pitches all about fear and that the end
is coming to get you. There are much better products out there please do your research.

If I could rate my experience with zero Stars I would. Paid a premium for a four Patriot sidekick that didn't even last two years or a hundred cycles before it completely died. Contacted the company, and they tried to tell me I only had a one year warranty when I purchased it they said there was a 2-year warranty. They do not back their product. They should also not have the privilege of saying they support veterans such as myself. They definitely do not. Being a full-time traveler and dealing with fellow veterans on a daily basis you can guarantee that I will let them know to stay away from this company!

Their ad offered the 3 month supply of food for right around 590.00. Great. Then it was also offered free shipping. Great. Then they offered 5 equal payments. Great I'm in. Then you check your credit card and find out they took 192.58 on your card. Then two more payments of 143.58. I called customer service and was told I had two more payments of 153.58. Do the math, thats 766.90. Then he says they give free shipping o equal payments. WHAT. I live 25 miles from where it was shipped. Flat rate fee of 49.00. That's right 49.00. Oh and by the way equal payment customers have to more. WHAT. The old bait and switch. I'm going to the Better Business Bureau on this one. Never again will I deal with this company. I should have read the bad reviews first. By the way, they don't send an invoice with the product. That comes 2 months latter in an email.

After reviewing your account, I see that you purchased the 3-Month Food Kit + 4 Free 72H on the payment plan for five payments of $139.40 before tax. When you pay in full for the entire order, the shipping charge is not charged. When you set up the payment plan, the shipping fee of $49 is applied to your order. It is stated on the offer page. So your first payment of $192.58 includes the shipping and the first payment of $139.40 plus tax. Your next four payments would be $143.58. You have made three payments of the five as far since your purchase on 11/28/2024. We ship all orders from our warehouse in Salt Lake City, Utah and our customer support team is based in the U.S. as well. While we make every effort to source products domestically, some product categories, particularly those electronic in nature, are difficult or impossible to find adequate manufacturing in the US. This is not just a cost issue, but a supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing capacity issue. Very few products like computers, cell phones, televisions, etc. are made in the US, and we're not a large enough company to build or re-engineer the appropriate production to do the advanced technology work we source and our customers demand.
We insist that our 4Patriots food products and supplement products are produced in the US. But we're able to do that because the appropriate partners exist today. I ordered an 1800 generator in 2022
I ordered an 1800 generator in 2022. It hasn't been used, but when I attempted to use this generator for the first time this past Thanksgiving, it could only power one small appliance. When I went to plug in a 2nd small appliance, the generator shut down. The generator could not power two or more small appliances. This was an embarrassing experience, to say the least. This product is supposed to power refrigerators and other large appliances for a significant period of time. To be fair, we were supposed to check the power every 3-4 months and perform maintenance on it. We didn't perform maintenance on it for several months, but the charge level wasn't the problem, rather the output was not working as expected or advertised. The product has never been used, and it was either defective ab initio, or misleading as to what can be charged.
I contacted customer support, and they stated the 1-year warranty expired and 4patriots is not responsible. Of course, if we paid hundreds of dollars for an extended warranty, then they would cover it. However, this product has never been used, and I was lulled into thinking that 4patriots would stand by its name and deliver dependable products. They already charged about $2,700 for the generator and some dehydrated food supplies, which was a push for me. I could not afford the extended warranty. I expect a good company will stand by its product and exercise good faith and fair dealing, especially when they are supposed to support our troops. Why is it I feel like one of the soldiers left behind or abandoned by our government in Afghanistan?
Anyway, I can't undo things nor change 4patriots position on this matter, but I can give a "heads up" to the general public and consumers to avoid purchasing any products from this company. Your time and well-earned money are better spent on either reviewing another company and/or making your own survivor's supplies.
In rebuttal to 4Patriots response, the generator battery has been stored in our home with an average temperature of 68-72 degrees. As previously mentioned, the generator battery was fully charged. However, the power output is and was defective from the beginning. Your boilerplate response does not honestly address this underlying issue. Your 1 year warranty may provide some legal protection, but your "too bad, so sad" perspective demonstrates your failure to stand by your product. Sooner or later your dishonesty and bad faith will catch up to you.

After reviewing your account, your unit is out of warranty and an extended warranty was not purchased. When storing your Patriot Power Generator, you want to store it fully charged and check on your unit periodically to top the battery off. Also, you want to store it in a climate-controlled environment. The best recommendation we can offer is to store the PPG fully charged and to check the charge periodically. Lithium-based batteries do degrade over time. In addition, storing the PPG in a climate-controlled environment would help extend the life of the battery since there would be no worries over severe temperature fluctuations throughout the seasons. When dealing with lithium-iron-phosphate batteries, they're not a fan of being stored in cold temps. Recommended storage temperature: -5 to +35°C (23 to 95 °F) Storage up to 1 month: -20 to +60°C (4 to 140 °F) Storage up to 3 months: -10 to +35°C (14 to 95 °F) Extended storage time: +15 to +35°C (59 to 95 °F). The Patriot Power Generator battery, which runs on DC power, has a full capacity of 768 watt-hours (12.8 volts/60 amp-hours) and will be able to provide that full capacity to any DC device connected to it. When you are using the generator to power a device using the AC 120V outlets, the generator's battery must use a portion of its capacity to convert its native DC power into AC 120V power, meaning the battery has a slightly shorter life while running AC devices. Yet the Patriot Power Generator battery uses one of the most efficient conversion processes available to keep the generator working at an impressive 90.6% capacity (691 watt-hours) while using the AC 120V outlet.
