I have been a customer for 10 years and they are very much a trusted business partner at this point.

Brutal Return Policy!!! Rip-off!!!

I had to return an item because it didn’t perform as advertised, and their whole return process felt designed to nickel-and-dime you at every step. Their “30-day” return window starts the day the order ships, not when you actually receive it, so you’re already short a bunch of days just waiting for delivery.

No matter the reason; even if the product is faulty and it’s clearly not your fault, they slap on a 20% restocking fee, and you have to cover return shipping yourself. They shipped mine in one of those thin padded envelopes that’s impossible to reuse, so I ended up having to buy a proper box just to send it back safely.

After I got the RMA email with the number, they only give you 10 business days for the package to arrive back at their warehouse…not just for you to ship it out. Most companies let you postmark it within the timeframe, but these guys require it to be received by then. Throw in weekends, holidays, or any delays, and you’re rushing to the post office, forced to pay for faster shipping because cheap ground won’t cut it.

On top of that, they allow themselves up to a full 15 business days to process your refund once they get it. How is any of this customer-friendly? It feels like they make returning stuff as painful and expensive as possible, especially if something goes wrong on their end. Total rip-off! Stay away! One star!!

Incompatible Product, Delay Tactics, and $90 in Fees/Shipping

I ordered a $300 Peplink B One router from 5GStore to improve my multi-WAN setup for work VoIP (Cisco Jabber). Despite extensive troubleshooting (firmware updates, MTU adjustments, SIP Compatibility Mode, factory resets), the router was incompatible—Jabber phone services failed to register while everything worked fine when bypassing the router.

The return process was frustrating and felt like deliberate delay tactics:

• First, they asked for photos of the router and contents.
• Then, in a separate email, for photos of all sides (something they could have requested upfront).
• In between, they suggested a fix that didn’t work.
• Finally, after I pushed again, they issued the RMA—but only after reiterating no exceptions to their 20% restocking fee (~$60).

I also had to pay ~$30 for return shipping (they don’t cover it). All told, returning a product that never worked as intended cost me nearly $100.

Think twice before buying from 5GStore. Their rigid no-exception policies, drawn-out return process, and lack of customer goodwill make it an expensive mistake. I won’t be doing business with them again.

I went into looking for this kind of a device not knowing much about them. The online experience for your product was good. I received a phone call from tech support after my purchase --that was a nice surprise. I purchased the device for a house I won't be at for another few months, and I will install the device when I get there.

Two times the Sales Assoc did not complete the tasks

The purchase on April 22nd, 2025 for InControl Support went smoothly as a purchase and the Customer Service person helped. However...they failed to tell me to enable my "InControl" in my B One Router for a few minutes so it too will receive an update of my 2-year renewal purchase. Soon while logged in my router I was receiving nasty notices that my InControl support was expiring very soon (and I has just purchased a 2-yr renewal). I learned this after placing a call to 5G to ask why my purchase did not go through.
The bigger problem happened a year earlier when I purchased my first B One on April 22nd, 2024. The original 1-yr of InControl Support started the split second I placed the order. It took a while to receive the router and it arrived DOA with a broken power cord port in the back. 5G staff helped me with the replacement order and return of the unusable B One.
The tech did not however, reset the time start of the 1-yr support, nor did he inform me to do so. The replacement router arrived 6/28/2024, more than 2 months of support ticked away on a router I didn't even have.
To my surprise, 10 months later I received my renewal notice 3/28/2025 and I sent 5G Sales Dept an email of appeal, explaining the DOA, the time lost getting a replacement, etc.
On 3/31/2025 I received a denial from Kyle at 5G saying Peplink turned down my appeal as they needed to be informed within 2-weeks of device receipt of the original (DOA) hardware. Again, a failure of the 5G Sales person at the time in not informing Peplink.
So there are two related (and a year apart) examples of the 5G Sales person not completing all the steps needed on behalf of the customer during a purchase. Perhaps some training is needed, as you have good people on staff.
