I ordered the 7-meal free trial and it was scheduled to be delivered on a day I wasn't home, so I tried to change the delivery date on the website. I selected a date and it gave me another date I didn't choose; and after a few hours I discovered I had already been billed TWICE for the full amount of the subscription (£120)!! I asked the Customer Service what was going on and THEY CANCELLED MY TRIAL and told me to use another email address if I wanted to order again. Which is unfair since I made no mistake, it's a problem they should solve, not me. So bad ordering system and bad customer service.

I ordered the free trial and tried all the flavours. They were all pretty incredible but the Chocolate Swirl was by far my favourite one! The £59.99 subscription box felt like a lot of money to begin with but once I realised how much money I was spending on meal deals, etc for my lunch it seemed much cheaper.

I don’t have one everyday but when I’m in a rush or don’t have enough time to make something before going to see a client I’ll just grab one. I do feel like it makes me more awake and fills me up enough to carry me through to my next meal.

I don't normally write reviews but this company stood out to me!

I have been a fit and healthy person my whole life, and I am a sports student. However, as I have a few life changes, along with lockdown preventing me from going to the gym everyday, I gained a stone and a half in the past year.

It has been slow progress trying to get myself back into eating clean and working out, until now. I have been using abnormal shakes three times a day and supplementing that with a large dinner for the past week. I am already seeing a massive improvement! I haven't been struggling with hunger and cravings anymore and I feel like I have a lot more energy. I can already see and feel that I a getting closer to a healthy weight again. It takes away a lot of the stress around when and what to eat, especially when I go out for the day.

I have been seeing negative reviews regarding customer service. I had an issue with my payment and I sent them an email on Sunday, they got back to me this morning, Monday. I am very pleased with the customer service.

I love the oaty texture of the shakes and they taste great. The personalisation of them to my lifestyle is also a great way that they stand out from the crowd. I also love how they are in individual packages, as that makes them easy for me to just put them in my bag incase I get a craving or am hungry while out and about.

The only criticism I could suggest is the lack of flavours as a lot of people may only like one or two flavours, which I imagine could get boring if they like variety.

I would also like to add that I wouldn't recommend using shakes to replace food if you don't know how to eat clean and havn't had success with eating healthy in the past. You should be learning along side so that you dont gain the weight back when you eat more solid food again.

I am using them to give me a boost at the start of getting back on track. As I have been eating clean and maintaining a healthy weight my whole life until lockdown, I know I can easily get back into it. In the future, I plan on replacing only meals when I can't get healthy food, for example if I can only go to a convenience store, or to save time when running around places and I may otherwise forget to eat.

If you plan on learning healthy and sustainable habits, along side using abnormal, I would highly recommend!

I ordered my trial - delivered witin 48 hours. Box is beautifully presented and personlised. I know its going to take me a couple of weeks before I will start my seven day trial - so I cancelled by subscription. This is remarkably easy process, I can't understand how people are struggling to do this, its clearly marked, easy to navigate and took about 60 seconds? Looking forward to trialing this and will renew my subscription if it goes well for me.

Absolutely disgusted with the hard sell!
I've not even started my free samples yet and already I'm being billed for my first month!
I've tried to cancel only to be told I can do it on the website... 1 hour later I still can not find it on the website!
This is not how to do good business... beware and keep clear!

It seems Abnormal do NOT like it when you leave a less than glowing review even if it is honest! They tried to get this review removed stating that it was fake and that I hadn’t ordered from them! Thankfully TrustPilot is honest and they were able to confirm that I genuinely ordered from them. Come on Abnormal, if you can’t accept honest criticism (didn’t even bother to reach out to me to get more details!) - that is very telling about your company’s ethics and business practices!

Got the taster box and was initially really impressed with the packaging and presentation - very environmentally friendly too. Unfortunately for some reason one of the sachets had a split and had leaked powder all over everything - so when opened, I got shake powder everywhere! After closer inspection, it looks like the sachets are made from paper which is great for the environment and I like that a lot, but the paper is very thin so very easy to puncture and split. I’ve tasted the chocolate one and it’s nice but agree it has a very artificial taste, which might put some people off.

I was really apprehensive about meal replacements as I always come away hungry but this really does work. If I have it in the morning I don't feel hungry until 1 pm!
I was having problems with the website, quite a few emails were exchanged and it turned out that my computer auto-fill registered me with the wrong email address so it was completely my fault but the responses were swift and friendly. I honestly can't fault their customer service.
The only downside for me is that their Strawberry Swirl flavour tastes a bit synthetic to me, but you can choose your flavours so i just got my month pack with their Choc and Vanilla flavours which are lovely.
I'm only 2 weeks in and lost weight already!
I love that the packs are already measured out so I can take them to work or on the go without lugging around a massive pack. Their shaker is also good quality with a liquid measure on the side.
After parking on the weight during the quarantine I'm really glad I found this company.

Not sure what all these reviews raving about the taste are. This tastes awful and artificial, and the texture is somehow both dry and soggy at the same time, without even remotely resembling an enjoyable experience. Thankfully the trial was cheap because I don't plan on consuming any more of this.

Update: Abnormal have now attempted to have this review removed because my experience cannot possibly have been "legitimate", about 30 days after they first responded to my post. Be wary of their trustpilot score.

Great customer service. I ordered my trial box but it got delivered to the wrong address (no fault of Abnormal's)...Lewis responded to my queries really quickly and helped me get it sorted.
Now I have my trial box it all looks great, really informative booklet inside and I'm looking forward to getting started.

Thanks again guys, top notch service and I'm feeling good about my decision. :).

**EDIT: Got swift reply and full refund** I stated in my order that I am intolerant to chicory root fibre/inulin then get sent these with chicory root in them!
I can understand if they all do but it would be good to know in advance, because this was a total waste of time and money. (Chicory root is bad for IBS)

I really wanted to like Abnormal; everything rang true with me but the flavours are too much for me. I actually think you sold this lifestyle to me more than any other brand in this sector, and I will check back in next year to see if the flavours have changed/upgraded. I found them overly sweet and powerful and possibly missed a more oaty taste or at least something less synthetic tasting. The chocolate tastes exactly like Neapolitan ice cream when it's melted together, but I thought it was something I could easily learn to dislike taste-wise. I think you should step out of the black/white branding like Huel as I actually think you offer something else, a little bit more lively with that cherry extract, ashwagandha and panax ginseng. The sample box was something else and really invited me in. I definitely think you're on the right track and won't rule you out in the future. See you next year for another taster.

I’m about half way through my first 30 day box. I’m very happy with this as a product, I’ve been using meal replacement products for a couple of months to support reduced calorie intake due to wfh and therefore moving less. I’m feeling great with these shakes, my nails feel stronger and I have more energy. I will be continuing to another 30 day box.

The shakes are fine but they have terrible customer service. That is to mean that they don’t respond to any queries on the contact methods they provide. This is fine if you have no queries and nothing goes wrong with your order but not great if you do have a query that’s stopping you from continuing on with your subscription or if something went wrong with your order. I was looking forward to ordering again but they’ve lost a customer due to terrible/lack of customer service.

Fantastic product. I am really happy with the service and subscription. Since I have been having the meal replacement once a day, I’ve noticed a vast improvement in my energy levels and overall well-being. I’m also sleeping better whereas I used to have sleep issues before I started having this meal replacement. The reason it’s so expensive is because it’s a quality meal replacement that does what it says on the packet. It’s personalised to your needs and goals. I love the chocolate shake, it’s very tasty and delicious. I’d rather pay more money for a product if it does what it says it does on the packet. The only thing I would suggest is that they need to make the free trial 14 days so you can see more benefit from the product and also offer more discounts say if you refer someone ie friend or family member. Absolutely brilliant product.

This is an edit from my previous 1* review. The reason that I gave 1* before was because I found that the strawberry sundae flavour tasted unpleasant. But now that I have tried the Chocolate and vanilla flavours, I have changed my mind.
The Chocolate flavour is absolutely delicious and Vanilla is great too. Despite me not enjoying the strawberry Sundae flavour, the other 2 flavours are great and I will be renewing my subscription without buying any of the strawberry flavour.

The trial box was great value for money (only pay shipping). I really didn't like the taste of the chocolate or vanilla shakes (had a strange aftertaste of sweetener) however the strawberry one was rather nice. I'd still recommend this company even though I wasn't a fan of two of the flavours. The shaker that comes with the trial is really difficult to close and open (the flap that stops leaking) but other than that, it's really nice. I didn't continue with the subscription because I found another meal replacement for a lower price but similar quality.

Absolutely amazing product! Best shake company out there because of how personalised to me they are. Super tasty and super easy shakes to make. They work great for when you’re in a rush or want a quick nutritious meal replacement!

Very satisfying, really enjoyed my trial box! All flavours are really nice! They mix really well. Great calorie controlled meal replacement for me, love taking these on the go.
