Academic Expeditions has been a leader in customized educational travel since 2003, offering curriculum-based expeditions across the United States for student groups of all ages. Our mission is simple: good travel makes good people. We believe the right travel experiences are transformational and we've built every aspect of our programs around that belief. What sets us apart is our commitment to full customization. No cookie-cutter itineraries here. We work closely with teachers and group leaders to design experiences that align with school curricula and specific learning objectives, based on national and state standards. Every expedition is built around the unique needs of your group. Safety is our number one priority. Our multi-level safety network includes 24-hour emergency assistance, private nighttime security at all lodgings, and one of the most comprehensive travel protection plans in the industry. We only partner with premium hotel properties, including Marriott, Sheraton, and Hilton, and all pricing is fully all-inclusive with no hidden fees. Our experienced, full-time program directors bring history and culture to life at every stop, from Washington D.C., Boston, and Philadelphia to New York City, Chicago, Civil War Battlefields, and Colonial Virginia. Academic Expeditions is proud to be a member of the National Tour Association (NTA), Student Youth Travel Association (SYTA), and the American Bus Association (ABA), and our programs are fully accredited by WASC.

As a trip coordinator
As a trip coordinator, Academic Expeditions makes my job extremely easy. All I have to worry about is promoting my trip, assigning rooms, assigning buses, and ensuring we have enough chaperones. This is extremely nice as I am a special education teacher as well so it doesn't add on too much more responsibility All the logistics are taken care of my Academic Expeditions. When we go on our trip, it's more of a vacation for me with minimal effort on our part as everything is taken care of by them. Thank you so much for your organization and communication!
