Academics Avis

My experience has been really good with Sugesh! As he has made sure my experience with the college I’ve been at, is tailored to my preference. By doing so he’s given me weekly phone calls or text messages to check up on my experience so far at the college, which has made me feel supported.

I recently turned to Academics to get back in the work-force, after 3 years unemployed. It's not easy, but they made it possible (unlike other agencies who need some 11.2 references, 70 years experience or 7.4 degrees).
Sugesh Pradeepakumar, my agency advisor was really good at coming up with solutions, even when resources were limited.

I would just like to say Academics is brilliant. But having an agent like Jasmeet Lamba has made it an even wonderful experience. She is absolutely thorough at her job and has been so pleasant to work with. At every point of the registration process she has given prompt feedback and has always been informative of all the updates during the process. Academics is very lucky to have Jasmeet and I wish her all the best in her flourishing career.

When I originally signed up with Academics, for personal reasons, I didn’t take up their services for over a year. When I applied for a supply position at a school I knew that I would have to go through the ‘enrolment process’ all over again. That’s just how it is with all the education agencies that I have used, and I’ve signed up with about 8-9 of them over the 6 years that I have been employed as an agency worker.
When you have a certain amount of experience with agencies you get to know how they work. Which ones are good, which ones that actually care about you as an individual, and match you up with with the right school. The ones that if you tell them the school you have been placed at is not what you thought it would be, and they then spend time with you to find another position in another school without having any issues. Agencies that pay the top rate for your services.
Well folks, after my 6 years on supply, it’s Academics that are paying me my best ever daily rate!!!!! Not only that, my agent goes above and beyond for me in their work ethic and professionalism! I’ve learnt the hard way that there are agencies out there who want their pound of flesh from you, Academics have been fantastic with me!
I’m sure that my agent is thinking ‘when is he going to mention my name’? CHARLOTTA LOVELL, that’s her name, from the Doncaster branch.
I don’t write good reviews unless that person warrants it.
Charlotta Lovell warrants it! 10/10 without question!!!
A genuine, caring person, that has always done their best for me. She has a positive impact on Academics reputation in the Education arena and I would like to thank her for all the help she has given me.
I don’t know about other branches, but I certainly recommend Charlotta Lovell from Academics Doncaster branch!!!

Current agency worker

I registered with them in the past and provided them with all the documents, plus they approached my referees, but then nothing happened, silence.
Recently, I applied to some supply roles on a CV library. When I saw they were advertised by Academics, I was glad, I though to myself," great, I am registered with them and they have all my documents".
Unfortunately, today they told me that I have to register again, which makes no sense. If some documents became obsolete, no problem, I can send them up to date ones, but why the agency, which never delivered, asking me to spend my valuable time filling out again their registration forms again?

I was looking for a part time job, staff convinced me wont be an issue, all I have to do is pay for DBS.
A day after I submit payment, i received email from them-no vacancies available, everything is filled up.

I’ve had a fantastic experience with Academics and Tej Bath, the recruitment consultant who helped me. Tej was professional, friendly, and really took the time to understand my background and what I was looking for in a position. Thanks to Tej’s efforts, I was connected with schools that truly value quality teaching and provide outstanding support for staff. I felt well-prepared and confident at every step of the hiring process. Highly recommended for anyone in education looking for a smooth and supportive recruitment experience! Thank you so much!

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Sugesh for his exceptional support throughout my job hunting journey. He has been incredibly helpful, providing valuable guidance and insights every step of the way. His responsiveness and quick actions have made the entire process smooth and stress-free. I truly appreciate his professionalism, dedication, and commitment to ensuring the best possible outcome for me. Thank you Sugesh for your outstanding assistance – I couldn’t have asked for better support!

Warm Regards,
Ishika

I joined Academics (North West) back in March. I was a bit hesitant I would even get work but after all my checks were done I was quickly at a school close to me. Then soon I was back there. After a couple weeks, I was pretty much a full time member of the team, right up until the summer break. It was nice that the school and several of the departments requesting me by name. I have alway been paid on time and the occasional error was fixed the same day.
I am now moving onto other pastures but I would like to say a huge thank you to Chloe for looking after me. There was only ever 1 issue which Chloe resolved quickly and professionally for me. Also a small shout out to Roxy - Chloe's predecessor who was equally fantastic.

Thank you
Lindy (not sure why it says Andy, thats my husband lol)

Honestly, they have been incredible and sugesh who has been helping me find work has been ever so helpful. He made sure I was comfortable and I feel like I’ve known these people for a long time. Very trustworthy.

I have had over 30 years of customer service and sales based experience so know what it takes to be professional and I must say that Segesh my point of contact really displayed a professionalism and polite manner that was inviting and very helpful! And would say all the people I have been in contact with from Academics have also had that work ethic of connecting with me and understanding all aspects or what happens when trying to help someone find a job? Fantastic experience!

Since being with the company with help from Sugesh with finding jobs he has been amazing with communication, very polite, kept checking up on how the week has been, how I was feeling being there and how is the transporting to and from the work place going. He has been very easy to talk to, any questions I may have I am able to ask him and he gets back to me as soon as possible.

Sugesh has been very helpful in getting me work, and ensuring that I understand everything that is going on along the way. He has also been very informative with any questions I have had, giving an excellent service.

Great agency member, excellent communication by keeping me well updated on everything well ahead of time and confirming that I haven’t got any confusions left.

Sugesh was super helpful in booking a TA job for me, he was very thorough in explaining the process, negotiating pay for me and was helpful in smoothing out the admin process. I would highly recommend him and Academics as a whole! Thank you Sugesh!

I had an excellent experience with Academics Ltd while searching for teaching positions. My main point of contact was Tejinder Bath, who was incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. Tejinder was always prompt in answering calls and provided clear, helpful guidance at every step. Their professionalism and dedication were evident, and they offered unwavering support until the end of the process. I highly recommend Academics Ltd for their exceptional service and commitment to helping educators find the right opportunities.

After being contacted by a number of agencies, I never left conversations feeling assured or in a stable situation. However, when Tejinder first contacted me, a clear and conscious effort was made to be work as a team. Her and Academics constantly reassured me, as I dealt with unfamilar things, and always asked for my preferences. Communication was impeccable and work was found for me nearly instantly. I feel confident asking questions and I believe I am always listened to and valued. Strongly recommend going through this agency.

Fab to work for, great communication and swift support.

I have been with academics for a year now and I have has a great positive year with them.
Louis is great he motivates you and listens to what you are after.
They have a variety of schools that use them which I found beneficial for my own personal development.
The team are very friendly and try to help whenever they can.
I look forward to another academic year working with them!

I joined after finishing my PGCE (term ended a month before school term) and can honestly say they were amazing! I had work every day - and was also pre booked for work. Luke has been so supportive and efficient. Definitely a credit to the company. I would strongly recommend this agency, nothing was ever too much of an issue or a problem. And most of all, I felt valued and appreciated - this made a massive difference. I had regular check ins to make sure I was ok and also thanked regularly. Sad to be leaving (because I start my job in September) but will definitely be keeping the contact details to hand just in case. Diolch guys!
