Academics Avis

The staff at Academics have been amazing since day one. Very helpful, professional, easy to communicate with and polite. Hamzah Miah was amazing during my registration process when I first contacted them, he was really professional, helpful, patient and kind. Thanks to him all went well. After my registration went through, Elizabeth Barker-Green found me a lovely school. She was amazing, very professional and helpful, always ready to take my calls when I needed to speak to her, and always ready to help. All the people that I have spoken to at Academics have always been very helpful and polite. Wonderful agency to work for!

I've been working consistently with Academics for more than a year. The registration and compliance procedures were dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
My consultant Daniel is a joy to work with. He combines his professionalism with thought caring and sensitivity.
I've had some challenges during this year and he has taken great care to make sure that the roles he's secured for me are suitable for my needs. He makes clear that my well-being is a priority by regularly checking in with me with a telephone call. In addition, I appreciate the fact that the feedback he receives from schools I've worked with is always shared with me. This makes me feel valued and very much a part of the Academics team. Thank you for your continued support Daniel.

Everyone seems to be leaving! I have had 5 different consultants and still no work. Must be something wrong with management that everyone keeps leaving.

My experience with the Academics has been amazing so far- I have worked in lovely schools, gained fantastic experience and had a great support. Special thanks to Kamuran for being so patient and efficient in making sure my application is processed as soon as possible and, ofcourse, Jane who has been absolutely wonderful in making sure my experience with Academics continues to be smooth and truly enjoyable.
A pleasure to work with such lovely people.

For future improvements- it would be great if there would be more opportunities for training.

Louis at the Berkhamsted office looked after me well. I gained plenty of experience through a variety of work placements and worked in some wonderful schools.

Absolutely phenomenal experience. Tej was an absolute pleasure to work with from beginning to end. She helped my reference, took initiative on my DBS certificate and always available to help on any issue no matter how big or small. She got me an opportunity to restart my career and I am forever grateful to her.

Very professional and helpful staff. Sarah has been amazing from the beginning all the way through. Now thanks to her I've been offered a permanent position. Thanks Sarah, for signing me up to Academics and for all your help and advice.

I am immensely grateful to Elizabeth Baker Green for her outstanding support in securing me a primary teacher position as an Early Career Teacher (ECT). At a time when I was anxious about finding a job quickly, Elizabeth provided unwavering support and reassurance. She consistently checked in on my progress and went above and beyond with interview preparation and all-round support. Her dedication and encouragement made all the difference, and I cannot thank her enough for her exceptional help.

Yasmin at Academics is amazing !!!!! One of my colleagues told me about her and I contacted her regarding supply work and looking for a new role in September. The next day she contacted back with a school looking for a teacher, following day I went and secured a job as well as long term supply all summer!! She’s such a lovely person and so easy going!! She is always available when you need her whether that is via calling or texting she’s great at responding back and being so helpful!!! I’ve enjoyed my time working with her and I definitely know if my plans in the future change I will be contacting her again!!!!! Thank you Yasmin!!! You are truly lovely!!

Danny Webb at Academics Ltd. has been exceptional in securing regular work for me in various schools. His consistent check-ins and genuine concern for my well-being and job satisfaction have made a significant difference. Highly recommend his services!

Yasmin and Paris are like my guardian angels! They found me a role quickly but also making sure all my needs were met. Not only am I happy in my new role but also feel that if I had a concerns I could go to both of them, I was very well looked after. Thank you girls!

I have been with the agency Academics (Berkhamsted) for the past 2 years and all I have to say is good words for them. They are so hardworking, kind, and talented. They found me my career job in an amazing school, they helped me find exactly what I needed and I am forever grateful for this agency. Special credit to Louis and Daniel for working closely with me to find the perfect job for me!

Having found myself in a difficult career challenge in January 2024 I approached Academics having working worked alongside their manager Mr Austin in my previous role as Ast Head / INCo. The whole Berkhamsted team were super supportive and equally respectful to the challenge I was at the time facing. At times I relied on the advice from Mr Austin and coupled with frequent supply working matching my area and specialism I regained confidence as a respected, senior leader in my area. Their recruitment process was sensitive to my needs, respectful and also very smooth, this being imperative to me as I was well known within my local education authority. After much support, guidance and advice I was recruited back to a senior role within another school and to this day still remain in close contact with the team at Academics equally I have introduced them as a supplier of staff in my new school. Superb team, led by a compassionate and dedicated leader! Thank you

I have had a lot going on and needed work desperately. I spoke to Gary who is the first person in the months I'd been job hunting you genuinely seemed to want to help me find work he checks in constantly and makes sure to updated at every stage of the process. Now a couple of weeks later I have work. Absolutely amazing best people to go to

I’ve been working with Academics Berkhamsted as a primary supply teacher for several years. I’ve always found the team to be very professional, friendly and supportive. They offer a personal service and value their employees. One of the team is always available to deal with any problems or concerns they may have. I would highly recommend Academics to anyone seeking employment in the teaching profession.

A member of staff I would recommend a million times is Danny, he has the perfect definition of professionalism and delivering on expectations. I am very grateful to Dan for providing me work that I enjoy throughout the year whenever I wish and quickly helping me secure a new top-notch job offer.

Huge thank you to Lee Hardinges for all the support he has provided me since rejoining Academics again. I asked Lee to find me work local to me due to personal reasons and Lee was very helpful and understanding and found me work as local to me as possible. Due to his great efforts he was able to get me back into one of the schools I have enjoyed working in. Very good communication. Thank you Lee.

I have been working with Academics. I am really grateful for their service. My consultant was Emma Rowledge who was really working hard to complete my application processes like references. The team really engaged with me to work as they would send text messages every week regarding availability. I had many work choices which enabled me to vary and enhance in my learning in this field of work. The team would always answer my calls and any queries I had about anything. They are very supportive and I really recommend this team.
