Acorns seems like a company that cares about customers and their satisfaction. I had a small issue, they promptly assisted on chat, sent several e-mail updates and gave incredibly detailed instructions on how to solve the issue.
Everything they do, even their debit card, seems to be of a higher quality, without making it expensive. In fact, everything is very affordable.
I've been a long time customer and will continue being one.
I highly recommend it.

I contacted Acorn Customer Support because I did not understand the Acorn Log detailing two deductions from my Bank Account to Acorn on the same day or understand the amount being taken out of my Bank Account for Round ups. My Customer Support Associate, Tiffany, took time to address my concerns and explained to me what I did not understand. I now have a better understanding of why two deductions can happen as well as how my Roundups are calculated based on my selection at time of setup. Speaking with Tiffany was an extremely pleasant experience for me.

DO NOT REFER ANYONE TO ACORNS. The bonuses are scams and they make it extremely difficult for people to sign up and stay within rules in order for you to even qualify for a bonus referral. It’s ridiculous. I’m telling all my friends to stay away. I was promised a $1300 bonus to refer 4 friends and never got it even though I followed instructions to the T. One of my friends who signed up with my link had a hiccup on their website during sign up and she couldn’t access her account. So guess what? I didn’t get credit for that because of THEIR ERROR. And your referrals don’t roll over to the next bonus offer so you’re screwed!! I worked with each of my friends to make sure they signed up and can’t believe I didn’t get the promised bonus because of the fault of Acrons themselves. It’s ridiculous so don’t even bother! They aren’t reliable and won’t work with you. I tried lol.

My experience
I’m a new customer and was pleasantly surprised about becoming a member of Acorns. I was advised to upload my new address for activating the debit account. I upload the pdf formatted documents to attach to the email link, and only receives pushback from support and management.

So I'm still waiting on my withdrawal request. I initially made the request because the investment money that I had put into Acorns was the last money that I had until I get paid again and my pets needed food so that's why I initially made the the withdrawal request and it has been several days I have made contact again with their customer service reps and I'm being told the same thing 3 to 6 business days they even told me at one point that my account was inactive or closed which is an untruth however it's been about 2 weeks now and in spite of the conversations I still haven't gotten my funds.

Referral bonus is complete bs. Do not trust this platform or its representatives. Use literally any other brokerage app and have no subscription fees and better funds.

Impossible to get rid of! I have been trying for 2 months to close my account. They keep charging me $12 a month. I closed all the Now and Later and took the money out of each account. they state it takes 3-5 business days. Then I go back in and they have added .15 cents back to my account and charged me for another month. Now I have to wait another 3-5 days. Ridiculous!

Their referral program is a waste of time. Don’t get your hopes up. All their customer service staff are offshored in India. Horrible experience. I will be transferring out and going to fidelity or a similar app. Acorn only works if you subscribe monthly too. There is no free version. Scam scam scam
