Horrible customer service, no common sense to assist in reasonable solutions to accommodate changing test dates/locations when a location was changed that was out of our control. Cancelled test due to photo not being uploaded of our child but they never contacted parents about this issue and left it up to our 15 year old to resolve without our knowledge. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER AND VERY RUE SUPERVISOR. WIFE HUNG UP BEFORE WE COULD GET THE GUY'S NAME.

My son has type 1 diabetes and has an alarm for when his blood sugar goes low and he needs to eat something to avoid passing out. ACT does not accommodate this at most locations and expects us to drive an hour or more to be accommodated. This should be available at ALL locations. Also, i signed him up over the phone for the test with no writing and they charged me for a test with writing at $93.00. I told them I didnt want the writing and they would not take the cost of the writing portion off.

Snail mail to order scores!?!?!?!? This company is a apparently still living in the 90s. I call in to get my scores from 1999 and am told that they are now archived and it will cost $50 to have them sent to the school of my choice. Fine. Then they state that the only way to do it is by filling out a physical form and mailing it in and waiting for a response. It's 2024 and this company still forces students to use physical forms and the post office to obtain their information. This is the only option for scores that have been "Archived" from what the representative Tiwayne said. They do not offer any electronic forms for payment or documentation. This is the biggest joke and has discouraged me from continuing my education.

For whoever runs this place, maybe catchup to the technology of today so students don't have to run through even more circles than they already have to. Good luck for anyone who took the tests before 2011.

Always check if a security company is a member of the relevant trade association (eg. SSAIB or NSI). Check consumer sites like Which or Money Savings Expert to see what you should REALLY be paying for a product. Check a company's online reviews. And check Citizens Advice website for more good advice. ALWAYS BE CAREFUL.

ACT customer service will not answer your concerns. When their organization messes times, registrations or special accommodations up they will not try to fix it or work with anyone or the child. Stay away stick with SAT they will work with schools and children for the betterment of their future

My son's test location was changed three times. Customer service puts you hold forever. I've talked to 4 different people then a manager with no compassion.

Our daughter took it at Waukesha South on 7/15. They tell you to arrive early to get checked in because doors close at 8:00. Well, the doors will still open until 8:45...kids still coming in. Yet, the other kids who played by the rules, arrived early, found a seat and were ready to start...they had to sit there for over an hour. the testing didn't begin until about 9:00! Way to deflate these kids who were mentally prepared to begin at 8:00; or shortly thereafter! ACT does not give refunds; so it is pretty much too bad for following the rules and coming prepared! What a waste of time for our daughter and a waste of money for us!

Worst site and customer service possible! First they mess up on multiple levels then when they finally respond to my emails it sounds as if they never read my email/concern. They just bs talk you to death until you give up.
ACT cancelled my child's test registration a week before test, claiming they had sent instructions for him to upload his picture, which they had never done.
When I emailed them they kept repeating non-related bs instead of respond to my actual concern. They never refunded the registration money, not even partially. Per ACT site new registration after such cancellation would be cheaper. We registered new and entered all info about the cancelled one. At the end after I put my credit card in, ACT charged the full fee. lies again.
When I emailed them, I received again an email full of unrelated stuff, never addressing why I paid in full.
Terrible company, service, communication, only after the money.

Act is all about getting paid money for test that are so old and outdated. A late fee is 36.00 which is ridiculous and they want do anything to help you. They expect for you to just throw away 100.00 on a test you most likely want pass. They are a rip off and they getting paid all this money from college students.

The ACT scores from 2 2020 ACT tests suddenly became unavailable and disappeared from the account in March 2021, and several calls and emails to ACT has not resulted in recovery. We have been told the case is escalated and to be patient, which is hard when your child's admission to college is at risk.

They cancel so many tests and in reality will not refund you based on false claims. You can not get a real person on the phone. Incompetent (I think overseas) online Customer Service reps will wear you down with bureaucracy and forms and denials hoping you just give up.

I registered my son for ACT. The test was canceled 4 times and we never received an email. When he eventually did take the test we found out that because he did not select the score recipients at the time of registration, we have to pay $16 for each college we want to send the scores to. On the registration it said up to four colleges are included . If you try to call them the wait time can be over 3 hours. They can cancel tests at the last minute, delay refunds without any consequences. If you make a mistake they will charge you for it. Dishonest, 0 customer service, they nickle and dime families for everything. Their business license should be revoked.
