River Cruise disappointing
The river cruise ship and excursions were well below expectations. Cabins were extremely compact, food choices minimal, variety of wine at meals was non existant. Later learned the ship company is the lowest ranked river cruise line. We believe it! Tour guides were pleasant and organized though for tours we expected more than one wine tasting. We paid a couple of thousand dollars per person more than others on the tour. Don't know why.

The planning and execution of the cruise was extremely well done. The guys were knowledgeable and very professional. The entire cruise was very enjoyable in large measure because of the efforts of the AHI guides.

Excellent trip overall
Excellent, knowledgeable tour director and local guides. Very interesting sites. Most of us do not walk more than a mile a day and we walked 2 to 5 miles a day on the trip. We would suggest spreading the walking days out by inserting some of the local sites between them.

Loved Heart of Umbria
Loved the hotel, so comfortable. Loved visiting so many towns with their architecture, food, history and culture shared with us through knowledge guides. Loved our director, Mick, very personable. We ran into a travel problem on our return and AHI handled everything for us. Thank you!

Excellent Riches of Emerald Isle trip
1.Tour Director Fiona Brennan is the best! She did an outstanding job of leading and guiding our vacation, and kindly/lovingly kept us on track with our busy itinerary.
2. The busy itinerary....loved it, and most appreciated it. For the money we spent, we saw a lot of Ireland and did a lot.

I did not think the food choices were…
I did not think the food choices were good on the ship. Also no hot water the last morning. Otherwise it was great. Been on other cruises with AHI on different ships and I like those ships better.

Lisbon, Porto, and the Douro Valley
AHI travel directors and partner cruise line did a good job. The food and wine were fine but not as delicious as previous AHI trips. The tours were interesting but we felt there was too much time spent on buses, which was not expected. (One ride was two hours one way.) We liked the built-in free time, so we saw a lot of Lisbon and Porto on our own. The scheduled tours were limited to a small portion of the city.

The travel directors were fantastic professionals with great personalities
The travel directors were fantastic, Helpful, kind, professional and always willing to help even when I was a bonehead - running late and other rookie moves. I'm too afraid of forgetting someone so I'll leave it at that. AHI did a great job and I met people on the cruise who said they specifically chose AHI. Also heard that the buffet lines on Viking were a mess so kudos again for table service at dinner.
