Alai Ganuza Avis 4

I have been following Alai's Instagram for a while and admiring her bold color style. I bought her course on color theory and found it very interesting. But the highlight was attending her painting retreat in San Sebastian. That has opened whole new horizons for me. Nothing compares to a direct feedback to what you are doing.
After this retreat Alai published yet another course on digital painting, which was exactly what I was looking for. It turned out to be a good overview of new possibilities when you switch paint for pixels.

I went on the 2025 painting retreat in San Sebastian, Spain and it was the highlight of the year for me. Being Alai's first self-organized retreat, I was amazed at how organized and smooth everything went. The food, location, trasnportation, scheduling, and painting lessons were all incredible. And on top of getting to explore a part of Spain I probably would've never gone to on my own, I feel like I learned so much painting wise and met so many lovely painting friends. My only critique is that it went by too fast!

I have had the pleasure of attending one of Alai's in-person painting retreats, as well as purchasing her online courses and one of her oil paintings from her store. Her online courses are excellent, very in-depth and worth every penny. Her retreat was one of the best experiences of my life, and again worth every penny. Alai is not only a brilliant teacher but a lovely person too, I would go on another retreat in a heartbeat. My understanding of colour theory and painting techniques has improved immeasurably since I started learning from Alai. When I purchased a painting from her store, she included so many free stickers and prints, plus a lovely hand-written note. Alai manages to be so warm and friendly, whilst also incredibly professional in her work. I recommend anyone looking to learn oil paining or colour theory to invest in her courses.

I purchased the "Bases & Secrets of Color Theory" course a while back, and it was great! Highly recommended!
