AlcoSense Breathalyzers Avis 

Fast efficient delivery , great idea and handy size ….works well and seems very accurate.
Only downside side is it doesn’t come with a storage bag , which would be extremely helpful to store and keep it clean etc.
But definitely worth the purchase.
It’s handy you can change the settings depending on which country your in, as I travel between Scotland and England frequently and they have different limits.

Bought from boots which was straightforward. Haven't used it a great deal yet other than initial setup test. Setup was clear and simple, came with batteries and 6 plastic tubes, apparently single use only? Wasn't aware at purchasing that I'd have to buy additional tubes each time going forwards, not quite the reusable description I had in mind, I get that the device is... just not the tubes...not great for the environment. Similarly unaware of the annual recalibration commitment at approx £24. However I guess these are both cheaper than the consequences of being unfit to drive

Seems to say it's ideal for morning after checks rather than same day, eg instructions indicate that readings can fluctuate upto 90mins after last alcoholic drink. Great information and but didn't know this was a limitation of the device to begin with and therefore probably not as suitable for people who might have a midday drop of alcohol and want to know if they are safe to drive shortly afterwards

I first purchased some 10 years ago the alcosense Excel unit which was a great item and easy to use, I have now upgraded to a PRO via a good trade up price, Still the same size & design with the added benefit that my spare mouthpieces from to old model will fit. Excellent refinements from the old model with the green bars and the extra blow coach,time until sober,test memory etc. etc. A great device and would recommend.

For a first time buyer, it was a great experience. I ordered the product on Friday and requested if it can be delivered on Saturday as it is a non working day. Product arrived on time and working well!

Great quality and accuracy just what you need testing your staff, we have 30 drivers that we have to test at least 4 times a year, we have used the Alcosense 2 for the last year and have moved up to this one for even more police type accuracy. We fully recommend it

This our second alcosense lite 2 reader, fantastic bit of kit for peace of mind after a drink the night before, there have been a couple of times where I've felt fine and would have driven had the breathalyser told me not to. The only reason we bought a new one was there wasn't much cost difference between getting our 2 year old unit recalibrated and buying a new one.

I bought this as peace of mind / extra safety after very moderate drinking prior to driving and driving the morning after going out

To validate, I had 5 pints of 4.8% cider, after which repeated readings (after 30 mins, more than 5 mins apart) show 0.33 - so significantly under half the legal limit

I think it’s very unlikely to be accurate, and it’s much worse when the error is in the wrong direction

Purchased from Halfords. Had to return the product the next day as there was an issue with the calibration date, but they happily exchanged without any quibble and the new unit worked perfectly. The breathalyzer itself is a must have and well worth the money to be able to drive the next day knowing that you are within the legal limit or that there is no alcohol left in your body. Highly recommend this product - every vehicle should have one!

The alcosense breathalysers are a great way to be sure that you're under the limit the next morning. whilst a little heavier and bulkier than the cheaper models, the Pro offers a host of additional features that inspire confidence that you know exactly whether you should drive a car (or a boat) safely quickly and conveniently. I wouldn't be without one now, and the company offers unusually good service too if you have occasion to speak with them

Good clear instructions, understood from the first read through, not overly complex. Once set up it is a simple as clicking one button, waiting for the display to show when to blow into the tube (6 of which are provided) and await your result.

I tested after having a few pints over 3 hours and got a 0.3 reading (under the legal limit) then hit the whisky (at home I hasten to add)! It leapt up to 2.5%, bleeped a warning at me and clearly displayed a 'Do Not Drive' warning.

An excellent piece of kit, reasonably priced. Recommended. Made in Britain to boot.

The only negative is it doesn't come with a case.

Purchased the AlcoSense Pro model, there are cheaper models available but this one had all the features I considered important for my use. Found the unit to be very easy to setup and use and the results are clearly presented. Very happy with purchase and the peace of mind it provides before driving.

Purchased the Pro to replace the Elite 3 I was having difficulty with to achieve the right breath volume and flowrate with. No problems in getting a reading every time, well worth the extra cost for the piece of mind I now have after drinking the night before.
The accuracy is amazing, and the fact there's a 'Sober in ...." indicator is a great reason to buy a machine like this. No reason to be caught drink driving.

I purchased the AcoSense Lite 2 as I was concerned about driving the morning after and I have found it easy to use with clear simple to understand on screen display. The user manual is concise and helpful.
