AVOID AMARAE – wrong size sent, terrible customer service and an unresolved return

One star only because zero stars is not available.

I ordered Amarae Orthopedic Shoes with Heel in a UK women’s size 7 for a particular occasion. Amarae sent me shoes clearly marked size 35. I submitted photographic evidence, and their representatives acknowledged the incorrect size in several emails. They even offered to send a replacement. However, they later contradicted themselves and claimed that they could not fully verify the problem from the photographs.

What should have been a simple return became an exhausting chain of emails. Instead of taking responsibility, Amarae repeatedly offered partial refunds and vouchers, including 10% and 30% refunds with various discount codes, while expecting me to keep shoes that did not fit. I clearly rejected these offers and specifically told them never to offer me another discount or voucher. They still repeated the same unwanted offer again.

By the time they offered a replacement, the occasion for which I purchased the shoes had already passed, so I requested a full refund.

Amarae eventually said I could receive £55.99 back only after returning the shoes by tracked international postage to a warehouse in Canada. They refused to provide a prepaid return label, free collection or advance payment of the postage. They also provided no written promise to reimburse the international return cost and refused to refund the additional £2.95 insured-shipping charge.

This is despite Amarae’s own published refund policy stating that the company covers return shipping expenses when an incorrect item is supplied. They also referred me to Section 24 of their Terms of Service to defend their position, even though Section 24 concerns changes to their terms and is not their return policy.

Their website uses a .uk domain, displays prices in pounds and appears to serve UK customers. I certainly did not expect to be instructed to pay for an international return to Canada when the company—not the customer—sent the wrong size.

I still have the unused shoes and remain willing to return them through a cost-free return arrangement. Because Amarae refused to provide one, I was forced to raise a dispute with American Express.

To make matters worse, while the complaint remains completely unresolved, Amarae apparently closed the support conversation and had the audacity to send me a “How did we do?” satisfaction survey.

My experience with this company has been appalling: incorrect goods, delays, contradictory responses, repeated unwanted voucher offers, refusal to cover international return postage and no satisfactory resolution.

I deeply regret ordering from Amarae. Please research this company and its international return arrangements carefully before purchasing. Based on everything I experienced, I strongly recommend avoiding Amarae.

They sent u deffect material of clothing even china staff are 500% better than the quality of them material.🤨. I ordered lather jacket with them and the jacket is look like a water proof paper no linen nothing , when i try to refund it, they sent me adress in canada which i payed from my pocket 26£ on top of the price i boughg it. STAY CLEAR! I purchased an item via Lune London which is Amarae and it is their customer service I am dealing with. I paid £49.99 for a pair of leggings which I considered to be very poor quality on arrival. I contacted the company immediately to report the issue and request a return. I was directed to a returns portal, which I completed, but received no instructions on how to return the item. After following up, I was informed that I had missed the 14-day return window. I hadn't. The company has offered either a 15% refund or 50% store credit. Based on my experience, I would most definitely not purchase from this retailer again.

Ordering is easy, and dispatch is fast. When the boots arrive I’ll update with more info on quality.

I’m really disappointed with my experience with Amarae.uk.

I purchased two outfits for my wedding, and the total shown to me was around £193.97. However, when the payment was taken from my bank account, I was charged £232.76, which is significantly more than the amount I was expecting to pay.

As this was a wedding purchase, I expected the payment amount to be clear and accurate. Unfortunately, the unexpected extra charge has left me very unhappy with my order and the overall experience.

I hope Amarae.uk can explain why I was charged £232.76 when the total shown was around £193.97. I would appreciate a proper explanation and resolution.
