I was happy with the progress until…
I was happy with the progress until every time I talk to my account manager he had a new reason to pay more. I was passed to several account managers it made it hard to keep up with who I needed to talk to. They told me I could pause the process and then ignored me for 4 months as which time they said I need to pay more to get the website launched. At one point I was talking to my AM and he started yelling over top of me. Now they are not responding back to me.

They were supposed to assist with my website and did not do a fantastic job with that. At one point I want online to check my website out and saw that it was being used to advertise an illegal Viagra sales. If this had been brought to our attention, it would have been escalated and addressed immediately.
Similarly, we have no record of unresolved update requests or an abandoned trademark application tied to the details provided. Our process includes documented communication and status tracking for all client projects.

3rd Edit: Apparently Trustpilot auto took off my review, not AWB, I apologize. Eric has been incredibly patient with me and continues to deliver professional experiences. My frustration is with AWB as a whole. Make sure to get a contract written out and signed before you pay anything, that was my mistake. All we did was agree on a time and some functions, no real contract. The product has gone almost 2 years past the original due date because of it. They are able to do most work, but its very slow and usually manual, so there is very little automation. They are not a scam, just incredibly slow for how many devs they claimed are working on my project (7-9 developers) at all times and on "priority".
2nd Edit: They tried to remove my review. Also they agreed to a feature that while I did not pay for, they agreed to do it and didn't mention cost so I assumed as anyone would that it would be done. Fast forward a month or so he tells me that they wont do it because it wasn't part of the "scope of work". I completely understand but the problem comes from accepting the request and after more than a month saying "oh, sorry you didn't pay". Like I know, you said you would over a month ago and now I've been advertising that feature.
1st Edit: Eric has arrived, and the work is now in progress.
I talked to AWB in the beginning of 2024 and agreed upon a 6 month timeline and a set price. Some things changed but they are STILL WORKING ON OUR PROJECT IN 2026 and have charged me thousands more. I have gone through 2 project managers and they have almost stopped working on my project. They will not refund any work or finish the project as we agreed on. They might be ok for small sites but building out a marketplace style was obviously far beyond their capabilities. The site is slow and doesnt have a consistent feel compared to other sites in the same category.
I would not choose them again but for where I'm at right now, they are doing alright.

We would like to clarify a few points regarding this review.
First, at no point did we ask you to remove your review. Our only question was why such a review was posted while the project is still ongoing and within the communicated development timeline.
As confirmed in the previous update (shared last Wednesday, 11th Feb), the website is not yet marked as complete. The only remaining items are optimization and responsiveness adjustments. We clearly communicated that we are actively working on these and would provide a status update within one week. As of the time this review is posted and updated, that one-week timeframe has not yet passed.
You mentioned that the website is running slow. That is precisely why optimization is currently in progress. Since the project is still under development, performance tuning is part of the final delivery phase.
Regarding the additional service referenced in your review: after reviewing your invoice, we confirmed that this specific functionality was not included in the package you purchased. We cannot provide services that were not part of the agreed scope without a separate arrangement. Despite this, we have already gone beyond standard procedure by assigning a dedicated resource to your project as a form of goodwill to ensure smooth completion.
We take transparency seriously and are submitting documented proof, including timestamps and communication records, directly to Trustpilot for review as this is public defamation and we take this very seriously.
We remain committed to completing the agreed scope of work professionally and within the communicated timeline but will not be tolerating or handing over the final product till this false accusation is rectified.

Well, I was certainly impressed with American Web Builders.
I wrote a memoir and turned to them to help me finalize and get it printed. I was assigned to Roy Murphy who did a superb job overseeing the project and keeping it moving.
Roy suggested that I try their editing service. Nooo, this memoir was my writing, it had to be me. Well, he sent me a sample and I was totally impressed. The edited version was truly better, BUT it was still me. Thanks Roy.
I’m thrilled with the final product, from layout, to editing, to insertion of photos, to cover design.
