My sensitive stomach, finicky dog, does great on the chicken and rice. Still doing well after 18 months. Always frozen on arrival and consistently fresh. Customer service has also been good.

À propos de l'entreprise
Écrit par l'entreprise
A Pup Above makes human-grade fresh dog food for people who want to feed their dogs real food, not mystery kibble. Every recipe is gently sous-vide cooked in small batches with real bone broth and whole ingredients you can actually recognize: real meat, vegetables, and nutrients your dog needs to thrive. We started as a family company. Founders Ruth and Javier Marriott built A Pup Above around their Pomsky, Lola, after searching for food they could trust and coming up short. What began in a home kitchen is now trusted in more than 2,900 pet retailers nationwide, plus direct-to-door delivery for families who want fresh food without the trip to the store. Our food is Vet Nutritionist Formulated for complete, balanced nutrition at every life stage, from puppies to seniors. The sous-vide method locks in nutrients and flavor at low, gentle temperatures, which is part of why our recipes reach 93%+ digestibility. That matters for dogs with sensitive stomachs, and it is why so many picky eaters finally clean their bowls. There is a recipe for every dog. Choose from cage-free Chicka Chicka Bow Wow, Texas Beef Stew, Porky's Luau, Turkey Pawella, Turducken, Fish Gone Wild, and a dedicated Puppy Recipe. Whether you feed fresh as a full meal or a topper, the difference shows up in the bowl and in your dog. We believe fresh, real food is one of the best things you can do for the dog who gives you everything. Thousands of dog parents have made the switch and seen the change for themselves. Read their reviews, then see what real food can do for your dog. Welcome to the pack.

No other dog food compares!
The quality of the food is above all others! My dogs devour the frozen patties in minutes. As a dog mom, I appreciate the cooking techniques, locally sourced ingredients, veterinary formulated recipes, and the ability to track all ingredients! What more could I ask for for my family members?

You noticed the things we care about most. Being able to trace every ingredient matters to us as much as it does to you. Thank you, and give Aspen a treat from us.
Awesome food!
My corgis are big fans of A Pup Above's gently cooked frozen food. I love that they are made with human grade ingredients and plenty of veggies. My pickiest eater of the three definitely loves this food and he gobbles it right down.

My dog tried A Pup Above via a partnership with pupfluence. She loved the fresh food and I loved how easy the entire process was. The food was delivered frozen and I placed it the freezer. I pulled it out and thawed before use and it could not have been more simple.

Great Food!
My pup really liked the food! She's notorious for not finishing her food or only eating her supplements, so I have been using it as a food topper and guess what? SHE GOBBLES EVERYTHING UP! I really like how it's cubed, and that there isn't a bad smell.

A notorious non-finisher cleaning the bowl is the best kind of surprise. Love that it works as a topper for her. Thank you.
Obsessed with this food!
My dog is so incredibly picky that we usually cook for him because we can never get him to eat any other dog food. We mixed with in with his wet food and a little warm water and he ate it all! We were so surprised, as a dog mom I love the brand because of the ingredients. Love that it is human grade! Would be interested in testing out their fresh food!

We tried A Pup Above (in partnership with Pupfluence) and my dog LOVES it! We already feed fresh food, so it wasn’t a big change for us. The process is super easy to defrost the food and portion it out. All of the ingredients are high quality and my dog could not stop licking the bowl.

This is an amazing food, very easy to put into enrichment things like kongs or toppers. You can also put it on a lick mat. My dogs went nuts for this food.

My 2 corgis are super picky, but never turn their nose up to A Pup Above! They love all of the flavors and all finally a part of the clean bowl club (they lick up every last drop every time!).

Picky poodle says “Yes please!”
I am so impressed by A Pup Above’s formulas and science behind them! I can confidently feed my dog a balanced fresh, humans grade, food and it is able to be conveniently stored in my freezer! My poodle is EXTREMELY picky so finding a food he likes is like finding a needle in a hay stack. He is a task trained assistance dog so needs all the nutrients he can get to work hard daily!

Absolutely Amazing Food
I had to go out of my way to write a positive review for this site. I own a small Maltipoo who is the world's pickiest eater. She really needs to win an award for how picky she is. She would literally rather starve herself than eat any type of dog food. And she's been living like that for the past 11+ years.
The closest thing I got for her to like was a dog food brand called Just Food For Dogs. However, she only tolerated it. And she would only eat if she was absolutely starving. So you can imagine my stress. I don't like to see my dog go hungry but I also knew that giving her table srcaps all the time can be harmful to her. So I kept searching for different dog foods online and made different purchases for her but they all failed.
Finally I found A Pup Above. I was absolutely surprised at how much my dog loved its food. She not only finished her plate her first meal, but she would eat it over and over again throughout her next meals. I have never ever seen her act like this. My dog absolutely hates dog food, but A Pup Above is not just something she can tolerate.
She loves and enjoys eating it. And that puts a big smile on my face :)
