AR Plumbing and Gas Services Avis 

Shocking service. Had a leak from toilet. It has been 2 weeks now and 5 no shows.i do not recommend this company. Have gone with another company 😡

I called to book my boiler service. The lady I spoke to told me I would be the first of the day, so I needed to be available at 8am. Didn't hear anything by 10.45 on the day of the service, so I called the office. I was told Itd be another hour. The lady did offer me a new time slot in the afternoon though, if it suited better. I agreed to 5ish..the second to last job. Never heard from them again. No call, no text message and certainly no engineer! What a wasted day.

Really happy with the service we received

Booked this company to quote for a new hot water tank. We were told they’d arrive between 8am and midday on Saturday, and the lady on the phone even said that as they were coming from Stoke-on-Trent, we’d “probably be one of the first visits”.

We rearranged our Saturday plans to accommodate this. By 11:45am nobody had arrived, so I rang to check they were still coming. Only then was I told the appointment had moved to between midday and 2pm – no apology, no explanation.

We waited in again and they still didn’t show by 2pm. We had to leave as we couldn’t push our plans back any further. Later, at 5:30pm, the door went – it was the plumber, hours after the latest time we’d been given, turning up unannounced. Over the Ring doorbell I explained we’d been told they would arrive before 2pm. His response was a single word: “Shite”, before walking away. No apology, no ownership, nothing.

After that, we then received a very short, abrupt email asking to rearrange – again with no acknowledgement of the inconvenience or wasted time. Between the ruined day, poor communication, shifting time slots and the plumber’s attitude, we have zero confidence in this company and will not be using them.

Having since read other reviews mentioning no-shows, changing prices from the original quote and substandard work, I’d strongly recommend choosing a different plumber to avoid the stress and frustration we’ve experienced.

Booked gas boiler service and gas safety certificate with this lot. Phoned to say could come 2 hours early due to cancellation. Didn't remove boiler cover as said couldn't get at boiler inside cupboard due to the way it was fitted blamed kitchen fitters although boiler was actually fitted into the existing cupboards. Although I asked for a quote for the extra work and he had time in his schedule to spare, but left after only 25 mins. Now I have to pay again for a service. The lesson: Never pay up front.

Highly recommend this company they once again they have come and fixed a job straight away all the staff are superb and excellent at there job and are always very efficient and the work is excellent. Thankyou again to your wonderful team .Fiona.

I have used this company on two separate occasions now. Their service is quite honestly 5star.
They’re professional and always turn up on time. They complete the job as agreed and to the highest standard. I won’t be moving from them ever!

Rang AR with a problem with the boiler, they were able to send out an engineer the next day. They were polite and was able to diagnose the problem. The engineer went above and beyond and was able to fix my boiler the same day. Thank you AR team.

Had to be called out multiple times to fix mistakes they'd made which nearly flooded our kitchen. 2 months later, the boiler is flooding again and it's because they've replaced parts on the boiler, which they've cross threaded, and I'm being told by the new plumber there's elements of the old plumbing they've used which are worn down so badly the boiler is flooding again. Will never use these and I believe our maintenance company have seized trading with them as well after what they did to us.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. This company is a bag of shit, absolutely disgusting. We’ve had an unusable toilet for a month now and this company is incompetent. Been messed around with appointment times. Finally been told the toilet is being fixed today and the macerator they’ve ordered is the wrong size. Do NOT use this company. I have never in my life dealt with such incompetence. My landlord is being told one thing and we are being told completely different.

Rang on a Monday about a problem with our central heating. They took details of the problem as well as my contact details. They said an engineer would call us the next day. It's now Thursday and no call yet. Very disappointed as it's freezing and our central heating isn't working.

Have been trying for 2 months and 4 cancelled appointments to get AR Plumbing to finish radiator installation for ground floor. Have been refurbishing house and engaged AR Plumbing to install radiators and boiler. Ashley agreed to come back to finish job once electrical works completed but seems strangely reluctant to do so - no doubt unconnected to having been paid the full fee.
Have now found a reputable company to complete the work and will be exploring all options to recover costs. Would advise against using this company.

Just fitted new boiler and rads for me - great job done by Russell and Alex - friendly, professional, and trustworthy, so I could just let them get on with it knowing they would deliver. And everything cleared up and put back so you wouldn't know anyone had been, apart from the great new boiler and rads of course! Thoroughly recommended.

Amazing professional service, replace a heat exchanger on my boiler and a power flush on my central heating system, nothing to much trouble, truly recommend, will use again, thank you.

Had AR plumbing come out to fix a blocked pipe after a few hiccups getting it sorted previously, Matty fixed the issue for me and did a brillant job. Thank you

Fantastic service & professionalism. My heating had been broken for a week, so from the moment I called, they were extremely helpful in getting me the earliest appointment they could. The engineer came & replaced the faulty water pump, but due to the age and nature of the system it took a while to remove most of the airlocks caused. He worked tirelessly to try and get every radiator working & in the end had to be made to go home. His manager then came the next day (Saturday) to deal with all the ones that were still being obstinate, again working tirelessly to resolve them. I could not recommend highly enough this firm, so helpful and professional. Massive thanks for fixing it & giving up your weekend to do so.

I’m very disappointed with this company after they were recommended by a estate agents . They agreed a price with me and agreed a date to remove and replace my boiler . I rang on the day before to confirm what time they would be there on the Saturday . I was told 9.00 am and that it was in the diary I waited in all day and nobody turned up . I rang on Monday morning to ask what had happend and was told they would investigate why the engineer hadn’t turned up . It is nearly two weeks now and the company has not contacted me so if your looking for reliability find someone else .

Excellent New Bathroom
Many thanks to the team at AR Plumbing and Gas in Stafford. They have transformed our bathroom completely. The finish of the tiling, flooring and cabinets is superb, the fittings are modern/contemporary and the price was reasonable. We will certainly use AR Plumbing & Gas again in the future. Five stars from us!

They say first impressions count for a lot well, my first impression of AR plumbing services is not good. When they fail to turn up for the appointment they agreed to how can they be trusted to complete a job? Very disappointed.

We had anew radiator fitted witch is very much better then the old one giving out a lot more heat.Also a shower modification which is excellent. Many Thanks to Ashley Mike and stuart. Also a big thanks to Megan who has been helpful from start to finish. Many thanks June and Edward Pugh.
