Asda tyres purports to be a reliable and trustworthy source of tyres with the backing of a big brand supermarket. However, their performance, their customer service in particular, is appalling.
I bought a tyre, ad paid extra for a year's insurance. However, to apply the insurance policy, you have to traverse many hoops, and although I asked for help with this, it was unforthcoming. They then informed me I had missed the boat, and the insurance was null and void. I subsequently bought another tyre, and insurance again, optimistically hoping that in view of my further investment, they would use some emotional intelligence, and reinstate the insurance on the other tyre, for which I had already paid. That was a big fat 'no'.
Since then (August), I have had in irreparable puncture and, of course, it was on the tyre that they claimed was not insured. Did they help me? no, of course not. Their customer services promised to ring me back, but did nothing...

After searching for the best deal I found the Asda link. Was unsure of how things would work but it was very easy and to then find a local fitter made the whole thing so simple.

It is a good website that allows you to easily choose your tyres based on price, noise levels and wet weather performance.
The 4 tyre discount code was initially problematic, but it eventually worked ok.
ASDA allows you to easily choose a fitting workshop and pre-book.
Importantly, the tyres supplied had been produced in the last 3 months so had not sat around unnecessarily ageing.

I bought a tyre, and three weeks later my car failed its MOT because there was a bulge in the tyre. One of the staff at the garage showed me the inside of the tyre and confirmed that it was defective due to a manufacturing fault. I returned the tyre and am still waiting for my refund.

Buying from Asda was really easy and the tyres were cheaper than direct from the garage. My experience at the garage itself wasn’t so great but that’s no reflection on Asda.

Easy to book, easy to pick which tyres and what I particularly loved was how clear everything was - you can see the brand, price and ratings for each tyre for sound, weather etc plus the prices included fitting. So straightforward, no hidden extras, lots of options for fitters too and can look at their individual reviews before deciding. Couldn’t fault it and would 100% use it again and recommend to others

Great price ...great service ..fitted at home and with the discount for buying the pirelli tyres it made the deal even cheaper....the fitter was very good and took care of my wheels while fitting the new tyres both on the mini and the BMW....great service great price

I bought a set of Avon tyres from Asda. Just 2 years and around 3,500 miles later, they were flagged during the MOT as needing replacement.

On closer inspection, the rubber had deteriorated and cracked between the treads. The tyre pressures had always been kept correct, and the car has a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

I contacted Asda, but they refused to offer any assistance because they only provide a one-year warranty.

What was particularly disappointing was that Just Tyres, who fitted the tyres, told me that if I had purchased the same tyres directly from them, they would have been covered by their five-year guarantee.

Given the very low mileage and the deterioration after only two years, I am extremely disappointed with both the tyres and Asda's response.

I won't be buying Avon tyres again, and I won't be buying tyres from Asda again.

I always check multiple places for tyre prices and Asda is ALWAYS the cheapest and by a large margin. It means you can get premium tyres for the best safety often for less then a midrange would be.

Bought a tyre online and had it fitted at a garage, what more can I say. Tyre was really expensive over £250 and £20 more expensive than Blackcircles but could be fitted on a more convenient day.

ASDA have since honoured their price match and refunded the difference.

Easy to book and pay online. The staff at the fitting service were friendly and the work was completed satisfactorily and ontime.

I took out a tyre warranty but didn't read the very small print - my fault. I was meant to scrabble around and send in the DOT on the side of the tyre. I didn't, the unexpected email ended up in the junk, so the warranty I paid for is invalidated and they don't refund the money.
Even had I seen the email, have a look at the side of tyres and see how many numbers and letters there are on it, and why should customers be scrabbling around in the dirt trying to find it. How would anyone with an infirmity manage this? ASDA should get the fitting garage to complete the admin - they know you've bought a warranty and they know the exact tyre they've fitted. It shouldn't be this difficult.

Ordered two new tyres for my MG, which was easy to do and the price was a bit cheaper than elsewhere.
Definitely would recommend!

I only give 4 stars because I had to wait a couple days for the tyre to be fitted but that was out of the fitters hand as tyre didn't get delivered any earlier. Other wise it woukd have been 5*
