Found Assure Building Consultants online and contacted for a quantity survey on a landscaping scheme. Was quoted a very reasonable price and told the bill will be completed within the next two days. I received it over two weeks later after sending a chase up email.
The bill of quantities proved to be missing a substantial amount of detail, making it far from complete or accurate in its estimation. I have raised it with Matt, the Director, and received a response putting it down to how I framed my initial inquiry online, which was followed up with a phone call and further explanation was given. I was looking to get a full bill of quantities for the landscaping scheme, from start to finish, which I explained in our later conversation over the phone, but Matt somehow chose to focus on some parts of it, saying that the subbase/groundworks package wasn't included.
I have submitted two drawings with my enquiry - one with detailed notes as to what work is to happen and one drawing showing the overall completed scheme. Matt supposedly worked of the 'completed scheme' drawing rather than working drawing, suggesting this is why details were missing, which was then contradicted by another error in the list of items, which would suggest the contrary. Overall, very disappointed. Even though the price was reasonable at first, what we got for it is pretty much useless anyway, so money down the drain. Reading the tone of the last email, I realised there is no point asking them to correct it. They aren't bothered. Wouldn't recommend.

Really impressed with Assure Building Consultants. From start to finish they were easy to deal with, clear in their advice, and very professional without being overly formal. They clearly know their stuff and helped keep things on track commercially, which made a big difference to the project.

Communication was spot on and everything was done when they said it would be. It honestly felt like having extra support in the team rather than an external consultant.

Would happily recommend Assure Building Consultants to anyone in construction needing reliable, no-nonsense commercial support.

Commissioned the company to provide a quantity survey. They produced the incomplete survey minus some essential provision (calculations for a soak away). Unfortunately I noticed this after I had already paid their invoice. I followed up to ask for the missing information, but received no response. I then followed up with another email which has been ignored for more than 7 days now, which is uncharacteristic of the initial communication, which were very prompt and responsive before I commissioned the work. My advice is to steer clear off this company.
