I reported a fraudulent subscription to this company and showed them there was no usage and they refuse to refund the $149 stolen from me stating "Hi there 👋

The charge takes place at the beginning of the billing cycle, and for users to prevent a charge, they should cancel the subscription before the billing cycle.

I want to gather people who’s been deceived and not refunded and file a class action lawsuit against this companies practices they are predator practices must end. All these reviews of refusing a refund people not wanting service and then lying about where they are located to hide behind EU time. This company is the worst company ever. They refuse to provide a refund after they say it’s a seven day trial but when you cancel on the seventh day, they still charge your card anyway, and then they refuse and put up a fight not to give you your money back, even though you don’t use the service I will say anybody that’s reading this. Please do not ever use the service again terrible

Abzocke und null Kundenfreundlichkeit – Finger weg von Podcastle AI!
Ich habe eine Testversion von Podcastle AI gestartet, um eine konkrete Funktion zu testen. Das, was ich erreichen wollte, hat überhaupt nicht funktioniert – also hatte ich auch keinen Grund, ein Abo zu behalten.
Doch ohne jede Erinnerungs-E-Mail oder Warnung hat Podcastle AI mein Testabo automatisch in ein Jahresabo umgewandelt und mir 145 € abgebucht – für etwas, das ich nicht nutzen kann und nicht will.
Der Kundenservice war völlig uneinsichtig und hat auf der Abbuchung bestanden. Keine Kulanz, keine Rückerstattung, kein Entgegenkommen – nur stures Festhalten am Vertrag, den man sich so erschlichen hat.
Mein Fazit: Intransparente Abrechnung, miese Kommunikation, keine Kundenorientierung. Wer nicht aufpasst, zahlt schnell viel Geld für nichts. Ich werde diesen Dienst nie wieder nutzen und kann nur dringend abraten.
Everytime I interact with the guys from Podcastle I'm left with more appreciation. In my latest experience I was stressing about one of the files in an interview I did was ruined. They saved my file, provided support and elaborate answers to my endless questions, and the episode is set to go out tomorrow. I love how user-friendly this software is, how they're always working on improving and adding new features, and how dedicated the staff is. Thank you Podcastle!

I discovered Podcastle recently because I moved and my new place has way more background noise. It never fails that when I am recording my podcast then someone starts mowing their yard or several planes go by overhead. My new place is also hotter, so my AC and a fan are both running when I record. And last, but not least my roommate still has a landline with an answering machine which is set at loudest level because she has a hard time hearing. Now imagine recording with all of that going on in the background - NOISY! Podcastle to the rescue! I upload my podcast recording to Podcastle use their AI Magicdust and voila! All my background noise is gone and my voice is boosted to sound like I record in a studio. It is amazing!!! It would take me hours upon hours to try to get rid of that background stuff. If and that’s a big if, I could even do it. Podcastle is a life saver!!!

Podcastle makes my life 100% easier. I tried other podcasting software and the quality was either crap or they were overly complicated. I use it for my podcast and for meditation & hypnosis audios. The audio quality is awesome and it has cut my editing time by over half. I HIGHLY recommend Podcastle.

Podcastle is very easy to use and has many valuable features. I am a novice with Technology, and I was able to use the system right away. I have been using Podcastle for 4 months now and I am extremely happy with their AI tools for enhancing video and sound quality. I have found them to be much better than other editing software I use.

Starting my PodCast off, I was looking for a software that would take care of our needs. Podcastle did just that. They provided me the tools I needed to be successful. With how easy it is to use, that helped me stay focused on how much more I could do.

Be very careful with their “free trial.” I signed up expecting to try the platform, but was immediately charged $144 USD for an annual plan - without warning.
Yes, I selected the annual option (the free trial eligible option) at checkout.
After emailing the team, they first claimed I’d chosen the monthly plan. When I provided screenshots proving otherwise, they changed their story and said I hadn’t “activated” the trial - again, no such option appeared during checkout (which I also had screenshots of).
After opening a PayPal dispute, Podcastle refused to issue a refund unless I closed the case - even though PayPal confirmed they could refund me without that. This kind of pressure tactic is known and incredibly shady.
Thankfully, PayPal sided with me and refunded the full amount - but it took days of back-and-forth and stress that never should have happened. Since then, I’ve seen many other reviews describing the same experience including deceptive billing and misleading responses.
The platform itself might be fine (it wasn’t for me personally), but their billing practices and gas lighting customer support completely eroded my trust.
If you’re considering Podcastle, proceed with caution - and screenshot everything.
P.S. To the Podcastle team reading this:
In future, it’s really not hard to take accountability say, “The platform mischarged you - sorry this happened, here’s your immediate refund.”
Instead, I was sent on a multi-email wild goose chase and asked to fill out a refund request form 🤦♀️
Do better guys.
EDIT: While appreciate the response from Podcastle just to confirm the trial option WAS available at check out for Aussie customers (I still have the screenshot which I can't add here via link or upload) - I had already shared this with the team. Accountability, guys.

TLDR: Very happy with the customer service.
I have minimal experience with the app itself - it seems like it has some good functionality for what it does - but the customer service is what I'm reviewing.
Lisa and Tatev were both very helpful in getting me a refund when I accidentally let my free trial turn into a paid subscription without cancelling.
The free trial is connected to a year membership, so if you don't cancel, you get charged for the full year, but customer service was understanding enough to give me a partial refund for the majority of the year (minus a month or two for onboarding costs).

My two friends and I have been recording podcasts since 2010 - and having previously used a variety of other methods to record our podcast (including, in the early days, Skype and a Guitar Hero microphone in a mug), we found that Podcastle was the solution which most met our needs for: ease of use, having a single URL we could use to rendez-vous each week for recording sessions, and having access to each of our separate recording tracks, which meant we could ensure the best quality audio possible, while still being able to record remotely.
We still joke today about how poor the audio quality of our pre-Podcastle recordings were, and if you were to pick a random oldie and listen to it next to a modern episode, it's night and day.
As I'm the person who is ultimately responsible for the recording, edit and upload - my job is made much easier and quicker by virtue of Podcastle also.
