So visited available car again on 23rd September over chip to windscreen on car which i purchased earlier in the month. On the original test drive I did not have my licence on me so had to sit as passenger it was only when I purchased car and driving home that I noticed chip so , after getting a 2nd opinion at halfords they would not touch it as it had been filled and repaired already ok hands up I was not diligent enough and didn't spot it if I had i would have bought another car ... so the lady I dealt with yesterday was wonderful but my complaint is against the company who knew about the chip and I think should be honest with the customer as a new windscreen will not be cheap if repair does not hold up so folks you judge for yourself

My car had a broken brake light so I couldn’t drive it home. I had to get an uber back which they paid for and it should be delivered tomorrow. I also had a set time to collect, got there early and had to wait for ages even though lots of people in the office.

Vehicle ombudsman
It is important to note that available car is not a member of any vehicle sales ombudsman. So if you have a dispute you are reliant on their good will failing this your only recourse is through the courts.
The above is not to be confused with the financial services ombudsman which is a completely different body and is concerned with financial services not car sales.
The vehicle (motor) ombudsman is an independent government backed body set up by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) and approved by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute concerned with raising the standards of the motor vehicle industry. It operates codes of practice that its subscribers/members agree to adhere to. These cover, amongst other things, vehicle sales and warranties. They also provide a free dispute resolution service for the consumer on vehicle sale related issues.
As a consumer this body adds a significant layer of reassurance associated with a vehicle purchase.
Unfortunately, Available Car is not a member of this organisation and as a consumer you have very little recourse should you have a dispute.

This is the 5th car I've brought from Available cars and the pickup has always been fine, but this time!
Emergency repairs were to blame.
I did get a quarter of a tank of petrol for being patient, which was nice.

I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN
I really do like the car an very pleased with it, i love how it drives. I am just disappointed that the valet was not very good leaving polish all over the trims and smeared windows and that the handover person did not have much knowledge about the car we have been having to find out ourselves by google search. I will be in touch with available car sutton regards to the valet.
I have dropped my rating as i am so disappointed with available car. The car went back for a re valet and a couple of issues to come back no better valet and for them to have damaged the paint work without informing or putting it right.
Booked again for them to repair paint work and valet again. To see that the repair was poor which was meant to have been signed off.
Booked again for paint to be done again and still not right. I am so upset with this and all they do is offer to repair or give you your money back no care at all you are just a number.
I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN

They can't do enough for you until you hand over your money.
Poor quality repairs, vehicles handed over with bonnets not closed, warning lights on.
Condescending staff, rude, arrogant.
Please consider buying elsewhere, or at least read the other reviews online before doing business with them.

Excellent Customer Service
Excellent customer service provided by Rebecca who I dealt with to purchase the car. She has made sure I was happy with my experience and the car that I love after purchasing a car. I had viewed it, test drove it, completed paperwork, spoke to 3 different members of staff in total and at no point did anyone tell me they would physically remove wind deflectors from the exterior of the car, items that made me choose this car over others I had considered. When I raised it with them they told me they dont sell cars with "ad-ons". However Rebecca contacted me and the issue is now resolved. Happy driver here.

Easy to purchase and very clear on prices etc. Quite a lot of time to explain some quite expensive extra purchases . Hand over was quite comprehensive but after having an appointment and then having a wait due to a busy period took the edge of the experience.Supported our daughter at the Sutton in AshField branch and it was a much slicker operation.Have received a call from a senior manager which was really appreciated and my points have been taken on board
