We visited the Castle Donnington store…
We visited the Castle Donnington store late afternoon to have a browse with the view to purchase, the choice of cars is absolutely outstanding and well worth the visit.
As it was late in the afternoon we didn't think we would be able to test drive and view our options however the staff were more than accommodating even staying late for us to do this, Alexandra was polite, professional running through everything with a fine tooth comb making sure we understood everything also had a laugh with us and made us feel at ease with the whole process, an absolute asset to the company Thank you.

Arranged a test drive day before over phone only to get there at 11 am to be told to sit and wait as all sales advisors busy. Sat 50 mins and told them I’d come back at 3pm as they’re busy and I had other cars to look at.
5 minutes down the road got a call. “Sorry cars been sold at 10 am!!!”So all time I’m sat there they knew it had been sold!
Even had cheek if there were any other cars I’d like to look at. Bloody bare faced cheek.
All in all visited this site (Sutton in Ashfield) a couple of times and cars are poorly prepped. Went in one and had a full mc Donald’s meal rotting away.
I’d call this place avoidablecar.com.
All friendly ads is all a show and it’s anything but a friendly hassle free way of buying a car like they try to portray.
In all honesty I’m glad I had a bad experience before I bought a car and not after. consider it a bullet dodged.
My advice don’t go anywhere near the place.

We apologise that the vehicle you had arranged to view was sold prior to your appointment and that this was not communicated to you before you arrived. We appreciate that, having travelled to the site and waited to speak with a member of the team, receiving this news afterwards would have been extremely disappointing. This is not the level of service we aim to provide, and we're sorry for the inconvenience caused.
We're also sorry to hear your previous visits left a poor impression. While all of our vehicles undergo inspection and preparation before sale, there can occasionally be vehicles on site that are awaiting these processes and may not yet have been fully valeted to our usual standards.
Your comments have been shared with the relevant management team so that the circumstances surrounding your visit can be reviewed.

Chloe was a Treasure
Available Car's receptionist and assistant, Chloe, during the test drive was an absolute treasure and asset to her company. She was welcoming and knowledgeable about the vehicle I was test driving without being "pushy" in a way that male car salesmen frequently are.
The company kept in touch with me and even took on the task of taxing the vehicle for me on line (I paid).

Sales staff listened to our…
Sales staff listened to our requirements and worked with us within our budget. They were patient and kind , respecting our opinions and it felt like they genuinely wanted us to get the right car for us and not just palm us off with something not quite right just to make a sale. The staff; Joel, Lizzy and Joe all worked really hard to help us and nothing was too much trouble.

Everyone was very informative and helpful with no pressure at all. All questions answered clearly
Damien Knights was really knowledgeable and helpful answering about the 2 cars we considered. The Rebecca went through all the paperwork and negotiated the part exchange values. All information was covered she completed making the buying experience really good and memorable.

Ok but could have been better
Person who took us on the test drive knew nothing about the car so could not answer any questions. Inside was damp and they said it was due to the valet but inside was still dirty in places so not a risk I was going to take so chose an identical car to purchase instead. Long wait time when collecting the car as previous customers had arrived late so not their fault, however there were a lot of staff chatting to each other who appear to be doing nothing which was frustrating when your sat waiting for over 40 minutes to be seen. Car had to be sent back to valet as not cleaned properly on collection. Would have been nice to have been shown functions the car had on collection especially seeing as I have never had a new car with numerous buttons and gadgets before and no handbook. The staff however were very friendly and I love my new car and the overall experience was ok, I would go back but maybe staffing needs to be looked at as not a good impression seeing them in groups chatting and laughing when your waiting 40 minutes over you appointment time and they are doing nothing

The test drive was fab
The test drive was fab, we had such a lovely chap take us out, very friendly and very helpful as he was aware I was a nervous driver but he was lovely and settled me.
We then went to Jason to sort the finance out, he spent lots of time explaining the warranty available which I’m sure he would of made a commission on this, however when explaining the finance he was very quick and vague and not all had been explained but I’d be requested very quickly to sign several documents through my phone.
When I returned home and had chance to read the finance agreement we were very shocked to see over £5000 pound interest added to a £10000 loan, I contacted available car and spoke with Jason who wasn’t very helpful and said “ you know as well as I know your not going to pay that much interest, you could phone Motonova “ not very helpful or professional, we told him we’d buy the car outright and his response was “ I’ve got yo fill a new form out now” ( isn’t this is job ) !!
When we came to fetch the car the lady who dealt with us was lovely and made it a very enjoyable experience.
I conclude this review with a very big thank you to the two fab members of staff but very disappointed with Jason!!
