Bambridge Accountants Avis 

Bambridge has been taking care of my UK and US tax returns for the past 5 years. Very satisfied with all the accounting work that Alistair and his team have done, not only preparing my tax returns but also answering questions and providing helpful advice. Highly recommended.

I worked for Bambridge Accountants last year. That they call themselves an accounting firm is a joke. I had to ask multiple times to get paid each month. At the end of the year, they refused to send me a W-2 so I could file MY taxes despite numerous requests. Turns out they hadn't been withholding social security taxes on my behalf as required by law. Their commitment to following the law in general is questionable. If I were you, I'd stay far, far away from Alistair Bambridge if you want quality work and don't need mountains of headaches.

This company is a scam. Do not use them as they will take your money and disappear. Look on Yell reviews from tons of people that they con. Messed up taxes on their filling, ended up paying more and then was unable to get through to anyone. Their office in the UK is a front. They get mail delivered there and that’s forwarded on to another address. Please be aware.

My US tax returns were completed and submitted on time with the assistance of Bambridge Accountants for several years. I had a very good experience with them and the fee was quite reasonable. I only stopped using them when I no longer needed to make the tax return.

I’ve been using Bambridge Accountants for seven years now and my accountant Callie is truly lovely, helpful and efficient. I honestly can’t recommend them highly enough, they are one of the best, most professional firms I’ve ever used.

I was with Bambridge Accountants for many years and, despite one year’s hiccup, when my tax return was only submitted just in time, they generally performed well for me. However my final year’s experience with them was extremely stressful and frustrating. It was virtually impossible to speak to anyone who knew what they were doing and messages and emails were repeatedly ignored. The summary pages for my final Return showed an inaccurate figure for the refund I was due, as it was much higher than the amount I actually received. I asked Alistair to look into this for me and he failed to do so, just repeating that his figures were correct. This involved me in additional work, as I had to contact the tax authorities myself to query the refund amount. Needless to say I have removed my custom from Bambridge to a new accountant, who confirmed the refund I received was correct and that Bambridge had entered an incorrect figure. As, until the final year I was with them, I had a good relationship with Alistair Bambridge, and they were generally efficient, I suspect that the problem with their present service is that they have over-extended and, perhaps, consequently, have employed people who are less than efficient at their jobs. Please note this review refers back to my tax return 2021-2022.

Alistair completed my US tax return just in time for the filing deadline, and for a reasonable price. I found the customer service experience extremely frustrating. It is impossible to reach anyone at the firm by phone. Alistair repeatedly over-promised and under-delivered, telling me he would have the return for me by a certain date, then missing that deadline and failing to communicate with me about the reason or the status of the return. I’m relieved the return was completed, but the anxiety produced by these delays and failures to communicate make me hesitant to engage this firm again.

I've used Bambridge for both my US and UK taxes and been very satisfied with their support. Alistair is easy to contact and the process for filing is made easy.

I have worked with Alistair and the team at Bambridge for nearly a decade, and with good reasons. My personal experience is of them is really good. When I needed help with details aside from tax returns, Alistair has always been ready to help, and speedily too. Be that work abroad and tax codes, or property related stuff. I feel a sense of loyalty to them even.
