Bambridge Accountants Avis 

My previous accountant had miscalculated my tax three years running so was looking to find a new accountant to handle my tax return, I left it rather last min in Jan, so was expecting it to be expensive, but after shopping around for quote Bambridge was the best offer (with MU discount) for music specialist accounts. Jessica handled my account and despite being very close to the deadline, she was quick, efficient and turned it round in just a few days well in time for the Jan 31st cut off, have been returning to them now for 3 years and have always had an amazing, friendly fantastic service from them, can't recommend enough.

I am an American who resides full-time in England. I was fortunate to discover Bambridge Accountants years ago, as I was in need of tax advice regarding both my UK and US tax requirements. Trying to bring clarity to two different tax systems was difficult and I was desperate to find support. Having the support of these outstanding accounting professionals to complete my yearly tax returns, has provided me with a sense of security and confidence knowing that all my personal tax matters have been managed in a professional and efficient manner. The ongoing service I receive is characterised by a high level of competency and responsibility to my individual tax needs. I have also utilised the tax consultation service, which has supported me to better understand and manage specific tax queries. The support, guidance and advice I have been offered has been outstanding and I most grateful for all the valuable input they have provided over the years. The quality and professionalism of this service is outstanding. Aside from the professional aspect, all the employees are very willing to listen and to respond quickly to any query or need as they arise. They are all very personable and respectful of my needs. Prices for the tax services are incredibly cost-effective. My experience continues to be one that I value. I am appreciative for all of their attention, commitment and excellent customer service.

Dreadful experience. Charming man, very slick sales, and full of promises to help me get my taxes done correctly and on time. Things went ok for the first month, though it took weeks to get some mistakes corrected. When they were almost ready to sign I received a bill and paid it. After that, nothing, except the very occasional empty promise to be done by the end of the day. Months went by while I tried many many different strategies. Regular reminders, clear lists of what needed to be done, less regular reminders so as not to irritate, desperate requests about deadlines, phone calls, repeated calls on same day. Nothing. Deadline was missed. Nothing. Eventually intervention by a different accountant achieved a response. Taxes were completed with hardly any time left to do my next set of taxes. Turned out they had been done wrong and had to be amended by 2nd accountant. Didn't bother to acknowledge my request for a refund. By then I had learned he hadn't paid his CCJs, and had been ejected from the ICAEW, so I wasn't surprised. This accountancy is unethical, unprofessional, and incompetent. I recommend you stay away.

I have been with Bambridge Accountants for several years now. I love their speedy, reliable service and friendly attitude. Alistair and his team are quick to answer any questions I have, and all of that at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Timely, personal, patient and detail oriented service. It is really great that the firm can now do online filing of US tax returns, a great improvement. I am hoping and planning to stay with Bambridge Accountants for years to come.

Bambridge are hyper responsive and proactive about solving any problem. I plan to continue using their services for years to come. As an American expat, I could not recommend more.

Update:
Anyone who deals with clients knows that an existing client is much more valuable than trying to attain new ones. I get the feeling that this may not be the strategy at Bambridge anymore. Quality of service is unfortunately going down. I have to send multiple email reminders for the simplests of things, and sometimes Alistair and his team make mistakes. I get multiple invoice reminders before I have confirmed the returns are good to be filed.

If you need to do both US and UK taxes, this may still be the best value. But be warned, Alistair will offer you an absurdly expensive consultation for any questions you may have that are not straightforward file and return style. I have had to resort finding out important information about my taxes on my own a few times.

Bembridge accountants are the absolute best value for filing both US and UK based taxes as it is the only accounting company I've worked with that doesn't substantially increase their fees if you have personal income or a company and works with fairly flat fees. Alistair and his team are very responsive to all kinds of email queries, so it is clear they put their customers first. They are the ones always chasing me to file earlier than the latest allowed times, instead of me chasing them! They were recommended to me from a friend, and I have generally been quite happy with them, and continue to work with them. However, due to they very reasonable fees, do expect anything out of the ordinary to cost a little extra. I suppose this is quite fair based on their charging rate. Through navigating an inconsistent income, I have always found Alistair and his team to be helpful and professional.
They were very considerate and understanding during my recent bereavements and have never hurried me into submitting my documents. They are always prompt in replying to my emails and any other queries I might have.
I have complete peace of mind when I send my expenses in, that everything is taken care of.
I am really grateful for everything that they have done for me since meeting Alistair at 'Surviving Actors' way back in 2011!
I am happy to continue to use Bambridge and have them deal with all my accounting matters.

Been using Bambridge for the passed 4 years filing my sons accounts, always found them very help and fast to reply, once I submit the accounts to them the return is normally sent within a couple of weeks.

Have been with Bambridge Accounting services for 6 years. During this time they have professionally and accurately filed my USA tax affairs. I give them what they need and they do their job very well and at a good price.

Maybe UK individuals need reminding that this month to April are the busiest times for USA accountants. April is deadline month.

Really guys, after 2 years of Covid 19. we are all very grateful to still have them able to turn to. I rate them as excellent.

I don’t usually write reviews but had to do this. They are highly unprofessional.

They lost my filings but I had to chase several times just to find out. This is my personal information they lost. They said their receptionist lost it despite us having signed proof. They don’t respond and don’t take calls.

However their invoices are sent and set on a weekly reminder. I simply forward this back to them to remind them to do their job before getting paid. Still no news.

These are the facts.

First review I have ever written. Bambridge Accountants (Alistair Bambridge) runs an unprofessional business - save yourself the heart ache and headache. False information sent to me re my filing. Never answers questions or emails. All calls routed to his answering service (so you won't be able to speak to him if you have an issue). Several disciplinary proceedings against Alastair for unpaid CCJs (Google them for yourself). Proceed at your peril.
