Using BDH Sterling to transfer my UK private pension to Australia via QROPS
BDH Sterling were a really great company to transfer my UK private pension to Australia when I obtained permanent residency.
At every stage of the process I dealt with knowledgeable people who explained everything in great detail and never tired of the questions that I asked.
I knew exactly what was going to happen and how much I was going to pay.
Their team took care of me at every step and I cannot thank them enough.

Nick Bond was a wealth of information and covered ALL my questions (and more) regarding the financial aspects of migration to Australia. Really gave me peace of mind and a clear strategy on options to manage my UK pensions, investments, currency exchanges etc. Also provided insight into Australian financial regulations compared with UK which helped enormously. I have no hesitation in returning to speak with Nick for future advice or guidance.

I would wholeheartedly recommend BDH to manage your expat pension affairs

Avoid this company if you have a choice
Be aware of mis selling from BDH, the charges are excessive for the service provided and BDH are very deceptive in the way they were explained. I am in the process of referring this to the regulator. If you have options of other providers, based on our experience I would avoid BDH if you can.
Update: The response from the marketing team was significantly quicker and more comprehensive than any response to the actual complaint sent via their official process. The offer to discuss these issues was hollow with a simple email that seemed pre-written as a final response.
As recommended a complaint has been prepared and submitted to the regulators in Australia.

To clarify for those reading your review, your feedback appears to relate to the fees you were charged. All of our fees are clearly disclosed upfront, both in writing and verbally when clients engage with our financial planners. We are open and transparent in our communications with clients and refute any suggestion of deception. All clients must sign a Client Agreement prior to work commencing, where these fees are clearly stated. Our subsequent Pension Transfer Analysis Report also confirms the fee payable. We are always happy to clarify our fees and services if clients do not understand them.
Furthermore, we have carried out extensive analysis of the fees we charge and believe they offer fair value for the specialist advice we offer.
We are more than happy to discuss any issues with you directly.
