I got 'scammed', or let's say 'tricked' by using a legitimate QR code on a parking machine to arrange payment for the parking. To be more precise: to download a parking app. Next to the legitimate lin... Voir plus

SCAM
It seems they hacked my link when I scan a QR code in Shelbourne Medical Centre to join some activities introduced
by NHS. I was directed to:-
1 Create your free account
2 Verify your account with a credit card
3 Access your content
The aboves is a MUST to fill in order to join the NHS activities.
From here, BVOD.CLUB debit my account £1 but refunded on the same day after complaint to Monzo however they further debit me £39.99 few days later so I cut my Monzo card.
I have reported my case to Monzo from around March 9, 2024, I have been trying to get back £39.99 for 2 months, I still hoping Monzo will try to help me.
SCAM SCAM SCAM!!
SCAM SCAM SCAM!!! Seriously this company signed me up for a subscription that I hadn't agreed to and proceeded to take money from my account until blocked Totally dishonest and fraudulent company
Absolute scam
Absolute scam. I was tricked in to submitting information, whilst downloading an NHS app.
Within days, a.charge of £39.99 was made to my bank account. Bank Fraud Team blocked further payments. 1 month later, a further charge of £39.99 was made but, this time, with a different name, to avoid the block.
Total and utter con. I've had to cancel my bank cards to stop these fraudsters from stealing from me.
Bank and police investigating.
Thieves
Thieves. I do not know how I came to subscribe to these thieves. I never willingly subscribed to them. Within 3 days they have taken 4 payments from my account totalling £100.99p.
I am still trying to get my bank to refund the monies. Bevod club should be banned
Scam
Scam. This company has attempted to take numerous payments from me, in spite of me never actually agreeing anything other than a (mistaken) one off payment. Avoid.
bevod fraud
My bank,HSBC, contacted me on 29/2/2024 asking me to verify a payment of £39.99 to bevod.club. I was given a phone number to call, or altrnatively I coild go to a bank branch. I chose the latter. there discovered that a recurring monthly payment for £39.99 to bevod.club had been set up. HSBC had blocked this. We discovered that an earlier payment of £1 had been taken as a kind of test. This all happened after we had acquired a Toshiba Fire TV which required an Amazon account to set up. This account required a credit card nunber, email address etc. The £1 test withdrawal was made on the same day as the TV was set up. I have just received an email from bevod.club saying that my membership was cancelled as requested. I have never made contact with bevod.club or ever given them my email address. Presumably the fact that my bank had given me a new card led to this cancellation. Good work HSBC. I have passed on all these details to Action Fraud.
It looks like professional fraudulent activity.
The first we knew about these people was when contacted by our bank. They took £1 from my account and it appears illegally, they did this without my knowledge. The payment they took was supposed to be authorised by a passcode from my bank. It wasn't, but they still managed to take the money. They then continued to take monthly payments of £39.99 from my bank account without authority as presumably the £1 transaction gave them enough details to do this without me knowing. I have received no communications at any time from these nasty people. The Fraud Investigation Department of my bank is currently investigating pursuing them for a full refund.

Less than 1 star - Total SCAMMERS. Had to put a freeze on my card.

Whilst setting up our new firestick and signing up for the TV stations we accidentally signed up for bvod to the tune of£1 it never warned that it was a subscription for 39.99 a month for something I was getting for free already .have tried cancelling it but to no use.So been to bank cancelling account its taken from. Scamming pirates
SCAMMERS
I would give less than 1 star if I could. I thought I was downloading a parking app and paying for my parking. They then less than a week later took £39.99 from my account. When I contacted them they said they couldn't trace my account. The bank has blocked any further transactions but I suspect this won't be the last I hear from these rip off merchants
Bvod Club - Be Careful when Dealing with Them
Recently I decided to install the Yahoo app on my iPad. The app came up and, as usual with Apple products I was required to confirm the installation of the app. At no time was any mention of me requiring to pay anything for the app. A few days later, when checking my credit card statement, I saw an entry for £39.99 acredited to Bvod Club. At no time had I agreed to pay Bvod Club anything. I then spoke to my bank who cancelled the payment and recommended to ensure no further plundering of my account by Bvod Club I cancel my credit card and request a new one which I have subsequently done. I have now deleted anything relating to Yahoo on all of my PCs etc. Be very careful of Bvod Club and downloading any Yahoo app.
I never authorized this transaction so…
I never authorized this transaction so beware there are fraud
Be very wary
We downloaded an app for authentication and although i knew it had cist 1 pound didnt see that they would take further payments unless cancelled in 5 days.saw 39.99 had been taken phoned my bank to stop any further payments and then was told to contact bevod.com which I've done and am waiting to get a refund and emails confirming this as I contacted them today on 08081697418.I have said that I wouldn't be giving them a good review as I wait to see the outcome.will post again once it's been resolved.
bvod rip-off
I can only reiterate the many people who have inadvertently been taken in by this company. They piggy back legitimate companies such as Apple TV in my case and lead you to believe that you are registering for £1 for the deal. They then follow through with taking monthly payments of £39.99 from your bank.
Check the small print and do not provide banking details. If caught out you need to block any future payments with your bank. Refunds depend on relevant banks.
bvod have allegedly cancelled my subscription on request. Wait and see.
Unlike most of the people
Unlike most of the people who have left messages on here, I have absolutely no idea how these people got to me. The first thing I knew about this was when I opened my credit card statement (I'm in my late 80s and still prefer paper statements) and saw that on consecutive days in early February I had been charged £1 and then £39.99 the next day by someone called Bvod.Club, Harlow. I queried this with my card provider and was passed on to their fraud team who immediately took action to block any further payments and refunded my money. Thank goodness that I still have paper statements as I had no other indication at all that this was happening.
Complete Scam. BEVOD.CLUB
I downloaded an app that I had been recommended to. The app enabled me to record free voice messages which I wanted to upload to my office phone system. At some point in the proceedings I was asked to pre authorise £1 for ID. I then noticed at the bottom of the screen (on my phone) that there was something like "Authorise your account" or some such. So I pressed it. Nothing seemed to happen so I pressed it again. Either way before I new it I had Barclays Fraud reaching out. They had tried to put £39.99 through. If you search the web you will find your way to a cancel subscription page pretty quickly but when you request a link by email you never seem to get the email that it says it will send. My bank has stopped anymore payments being taken.

Scanned QR code for 'Eat at your seat' on LNER train. Filled out my details for what I thought was my order...was prompted
to sign in. Somehow ended up taking out subscription to this outfit. At no point did I see their name or details of what I would end up paying. Took £1 but not immediately then £39.99 on pending...too late to stop it. Halifax said could not log as fraud as money not stolen. Took it to disputes..similar story...I had signed up. Bank blocked further payments and new card ordered. Told Bank they were on the side of such scammers.Rang number others provided ..no one answers but did leave message. Today got call.. was told subscription cancelled and 50% refund promised. Not holding my breath..will wait and see. Beware QR codes!
SCAM by BVOD (Broadcast Video On…
SCAM by BVOD (Broadcast Video On Demand).
BVOD offer video streaming of films, TV series, music and games. They place links on mainstream systems (e.g. YouTube, Ringo, My5 TV, Post Office, Tesco, NCP) to dupe you into a BVOD signup.
In our case, we opened YouTube on our Samsung TV. Next screen offered a free account implying this was a YouTube account.
Using the link on our laptop led to 3 steps for a free account and so I clicked on the Start button.
(Note: revisited later this step later to find the web page was part of an article by the-tech-trend.com (a tech nerd website) copying instructions for activation of a YouTube Premium account.
Gave email address and name. Should have paused when asked for credit card details "to verify identity".
Next screen mentioned a £1 pre-authorised fee for a free 5 day trial membership then £39.99 charged monthly unless cancelled. However there was no way of cancelling membership.
So I contacted Halifax Mastercard fraud dept to find £1 had been charged by 'The BVOD Club'. Halifax blocked BVOD and then cancelled my credit card in case BVOD pass on card details.
