I ordered a product that was listed as “5 units in stock” on the website, with delivery promised within 5 days. After paying, I received an order confirmation stating that the order was being processed.
A few days later I unexpectedly got a call saying they “received my order” and needed to “confirm the details to confirm the order.” During the call they tried to upsell a completely unnecessary extended warranty. After I said once that I wasn’t interested, they pushed again, and when I refused they tried to make me feel like it was my fault.
After they failed to “sell” the warranty, they suddenly informed me that delivery would no longer be within 5 days, but would take around 17 days instead. I agreed, although it was already very unpleasant. A few more days later, I was told they no longer had the product in stock and offered a replacement, or promised to refund the money “within a few days.”
It left a strong impression that their business model is to attract customers with a low price, then try to push an expensive warranty. If you don’t buy it, the delivery is suddenly delayed or canceled because the item is “out of stock,” even though the same product appears again on the website a few days later—just at a different price.
This is the worst customer service experience I’ve had in the last decade of online shopping.
