TurboTax – Deluxe 2024 Federal + E-file & State – Mac OS, Windows [Digital]

I 'm a luddite; only program I regularly buy is TurboTax. I have an interest in an LLC (which has an interest in an LLC, which has an interest in an LLC) so my K-1, and tax filing is always late. So this year I decided to wait of on buying TurboTax Premier and working on it. I've always bought from Amazon; by waiting this this year, the Amazon price went from $82 in early March to $115 in late March, so I looked elsewhere. BigHome Tax had it for $68 and reviews were good, so I went (t)here - good move. Priced as promised and promptly received authorization number, immediately went to work on it. Easy-peasy and no gotchas or problems. Very satisfied.

Update: Nguyen Dinh Duy is the owner of BHTax and he is a crook. READ OTHER REVIEWS here and on Google; they describe similar experience as mine.

Original: I bought two different TurboTax software licenses (one on March 27 2025 and another on April 1 2025).

On April 4 2025 I realized that I am unable to download the State version of the software. So I called TurboTax Tech Support, only to learn that the reason I cannot download state is because the same license key was already registered by another user, and they already downloaded one allowed state.

I asked the Tech Support person to check my second license also, and sure enough that license was also already registered by another user.

BigHomeTax only offers TEXT MESSAGE support. I texted, and it took DUY 2 hours to reply. He was easy going at first but then demanded screen-shots of errors. Not able to understand logic. There are no screenshots to prove another user has already registered the software, and he refused to understand this point.

Unable to activate the software with the license key provided with my purchase. No way to contact the company for immediate help. Telephone greeting says they only respond to text. Does not give a timeline as to when they will respond.

Update 4/4/2025: Because of the above truthful review, this company has threatened to cancel my software (TurboTax) license key and also not issue a refund for the purchase because I gave them a 1-star rating and stated what my experience was. I contacted them when the code didn't work and they had to issue a new activation code since the original one apparently got cancelled by the TurboTax system for God knows what. By threatening to cancel my activation key (which voids the software), I cannot trust the software for filing taxes and will have to purchase elsewhere. See how others have gotten to the filing stage only to learn that their software activation keys had been cancelled. I will dispute the transaction with my bank and provide them screenshots of the threats and rude texts from BigHomeTax.

I conclude that BigHomeTax is a vindictive company that doesn't have a clue about customer service, ethical business or U.S. consumer protection rights. We need a way to upload screenshots so the world can see the nasty texts this company sent to me!

Update 4/5/2025: I went to report BigHomeTax to TurboTax as I'm sure threatening customers would not be acceptable for their redistributors. But they were already reported by many others and TurboTax has confirmed BigHomeTax is not an authorized reseller of TurboTax software. Google search turbotax support and type in "BigHomeTax" to see for yourself.

Update 4/6/2025: Trustpilot needs to add a "Resolved" rating and not just a "Response" rating. Look at the responses BigHomeTax has given to dissatisfied customers all having the same issues with BigHomeTax pirated re-sold software. Look at the BBB complaints for this company as well. Responses don't mean anything if all the company has to do is just type in some nonsense that doesn't address the issues reported in the reviews.

I have used intuit products for many years. I recently retired so I turned to TurboTax for preparing my own personal return. I found the experience to be pleasant and thorough. I recommend it for you.

Purchased turbotax personal and business for tax year 2024. Could not pay the state fee to file because the license had been canceled. If you buy from this company beware of this risk. Now I have to buy the software again from Amazon.

Great Prices on the software, the only thing is that sometimes the activation key stops working for some reason.

I purchased TurboTax and didn’t have any trouble activating it.

I ordered the TT deluxe with state about 6 times. The price is the lowest found on the web and always beats the in store prices. The code hasn’t given any issues. The ordering process is quick and easy.

No problems getting and activating the software. I've used them before and last year had to contact them for an activation code for previously purchased 2023 software which they happily provided!
