Delighted - a beautiful piece of knitwear
My wife loves the Eske Kintyre Jumper. Fit is as described and looks even better on than in the photos. The wool is soft and it has a really nice mottle to it. Service was great with the jumper being despatched and received well in-time for Christmas. It is always nice to find true artisans producing really high quality products. Delighted

Great gift, fast shipping
Cause I missed it to buy one during my stay in Edinburgh, I had to order one of the handmade Brooches as a Christmas-gift for a good friend. The shipping to Germany was fast, the present arrived fast and on time, and it looks absolutely great!

I bought a beautiful “Kyle” while in the Edinburgh store for 349 pounds and found the same jacket on the website for 207.50 pounds.
What is up with that? I tried to email Bill Baber who sold me my sweater but couldn’t find a direct email. I really don’t want this review to go all over the web if they can make this problem right. W. Burke

I wonder if the piece you are referring to on our website is our Skye Jacket? While this may look similar to the Kyle Jacket you purchased in Edinburgh, they are in fact different garments. Our Grassmarket Workshop stocks our boutique collection which cannot be found online and are exclusive to that location, and our Kyle Jacket is one of those pieces. Kyle is made from a different material than Skye and features hand made pockets which are created and sewn in by hand. Bill and Helen hand stitch the pockets themselves in store which adds a premium price to the Kyle Jacket. We do not offer products with pockets on our website due to this higher cost and the limited number of garments that can be created in this way.
Please also note that all prices viewed online from outside of the UK do not include the 20% UK VAT charge that is paid in store by law, and also do not include the 10% reciprocal charges recently added to deliveries from the UK to the USA which is calculated at checkout. A great experience all round
The jacket was a very nice, well designed and made, product. My wife will feel super chic wearing it. The personal touch added by Bill and his family at no extra charge all added to the feeling of being a valued customer and not just an order number.

Gorgeous handmade knitware, wonderful customer service
Beautiful handmade knitware. We discovered the Bill Baber shop in Edinburgh when we traveled to Scotland from the U.S.A. in August and were so impressed by the quality and attentive help form Mr. Baber himself. When it came time to shop for Christmas for a family member, I went online to the Bill Baber store and ordered from it. I had a question about how to use the coupon for first-time online customers and submitted my question using the online form late at night Scotland time. Jack, the owners' son, got back to me first thing the next morning. He was delightful and made the shopping process easy for me. The sweater made it to my family member before Christmas, and she loves it. I highly recommend Bill Baber Knitware.
