Blizard Physio Avis 120

Can thoroughly recommend physio Matthew at Blizard. He has helped me with hip and shoulder problems. This 65 year old is very grateful!!

What can I say, this coming from a 57 year old who has never been to see a physio before but has suffered for a good 18 years with a constant shoulder problem. Why, oh why did I leave it so long? I finally went on recommendation from a very good friend. Blizard's are amazing, lovely building, calm and relaxed atmosphere, lovely staff and my physio Caroline is totally amazing, such a lovely lady and works wonders. My shoulder now feels fantastic with full mobility. The minute anything niggles in the future I know exactly where I'm going, they really are exceptional.

I started seeing Jenny at Blizard Physiotherapy, Doncaster early 2025. My right shoulder had limited mobility and I was getting close to the point of having to give up the sport I love... rock climbing.. I'd been misdiagnosed etc and was getting deeply depressed. On the first session Jenny correctly diagnosed my rotator cuff tear / frozen shoulder and we started a physio routine straight away. I was so so chuffed. I noticed an improvement within 3 weeks and it continued getting better from there. I am now fixed .. yay and with Jennys plan I am aiming to improve my shoulder mobility and strength to be even better than before the injury, to ensure injury prevention. I can't thank Jenny, Celine and the team at Blizzard, enough. I am very very happy 😃

Dave was clearly very knowledgeable about the physiology of distance running and what is needed to improve. I found him to be extremely engaging and the test itself while a decent hard run was fun and informative. The feedback that Dave provided in his analysis fit very much with what we thought and he has given me areas of training that can be tweaked to get me back to where I want to be. A very worthwhile use of my time and inarguably incredibly good value.

Many who know me know that I am a regular runner and did a little bit of competitive track running in my teens. After a little hiatus I struggled for years with running injuries and had reached the point of giving up, until I was informed of Blizard Physiotherapy.

My injury in particular was shin splints and when seeing Jenny Blizard for the first time I was astounded of the knowledge she had regarding the injury and it’s potential causes (which other physio clinics I visited prior didn’t fully understand). After regular visits seeing Jenny and taking on board the exercises I needed to stick to and through listening carefully, the shin issues I had for 4+ years disappeared. In the proceeding year I encounted further niggles on my way back to fitness and once again Blizard helped iron out the issues promptly before they turned to an injury. I cannot thank Jenny and the team at Blizard enough for getting me back doing what I love most, running.

I absolutely highly recommend the clinic to anyone, sportsperson or otherwise who is struggling with injury and needs a helping hand. The team at Blizard are very friendly, welcoming and have a tremendous team spirit.
