Really disappointed with this machine, considering that it was by no means cheap. At the time, I didn’t even mind that: buy cheap, buy twice and all that, and after all, Blomberg - for whatever reasons - are generally quite well respected. However, in this case, that adage didn’t pan out.
On the face of it, it’s got all the knobs and knockers, including programmes you’ll probably never use. It has a cutlery tray at the top, which seemed like a good idea until I realised how much difference this made to the amount of room in the drawer immediately underneath; with the cutlery tray in place and the drawer at maximum height, you can’t even stand a pint glass up in it. Ah, you may say, then why not lower the conveniently adjustable top drawer? - The answer is: because if you do lower it enough to be able to stand a pint glass upright with the cutlery tray still in place, there’s not enough room for dinner plates in the bottom drawer without the rotating arm beneath the bottom tray catching on them!
Although, when I realised just how iffy the ergonomics of this machine were, I have to say I wasn’t best pleased, once again, on the face of it the solution seemed obvious: remove the cutlery tray.
You’ll notice I say ‘seemed obvious’. In actual fact, it’s really quite easy when you know how, but I didn’t, and ( call me stupid ) the manual didn’t seem to explain it at all. Even then, surely, a simple phone call to Blomberg Customer Services would solve the problem? Well, you’d think ...
The first thing that became apparent was that the person on the other end of the phone - the third one I eventually got through to after being passed around departments - was apparently reading from the same manual ( or a version of it ) as I was. Not surprisingly, the net result was that I spent half an hour ( not including the time I was on hold between departments ) getting no further forward than I’d been in the first place. Eventually, with the help of a friend ( who was no more technically versed in these things than I was, not that we should have needed to be ), the tray got removed. Problem solved ...?
In terms of the amount of room, well, solved somewhat ... obviously the cutlery still has to be cleaned, so I resorted to using a stand-up rack positioned in the bottom drawer. Already really unimpressed by this point, but the bottom line is this: if you want a dearer-than-average dishwasher that will get most but not all of the contents clean some but not all of the time, then this is definitely the kiddie for you.
The icing on a cake which really doesn’t need additional decoration is the fact that when I contacted Blomberg to make them aware of all of the above, they very kindly said that they would send an engineer out under the terms of the warranty. Except ... if the engineer determines that there is no fault in the manufacture of the machine, you’re then liable to pay a callout charge, warranty or no warranty. If anyone wants to have a fiver bet with me as to whether or not that’s what the engineer would determine, by all means let me know.
Poor Service
Last Friday the thermostat on my Blomberg oven failed. I phoned the number listed to report the issue. The oven is under warranty. It was also registered with them. The call lasted 40 minutes. Firstly, a computer asked for some information before being passed through to a human who then asked the same questions. She passed me through to another human who guess what did the same. She then put me on hold whilst she tried to find an engineer appointment. After about 10 minutes on hold I somehow returned to the reception number. Once again asked the same questions before yet another transfer. This time finally managed to book an appointment but for this coming Wednesday. This morning (Monday) I received a text saying that an engineer appointment could be available today if I agreed. I responded within a minute. The answer came back sorry but that appointment no longer available. I sent a complaint via email last week after my first call. I have not received a response. I doubt whether one will be forthcoming after todays issue. Blomberg/Hotpoint your customer service is awful.
Three out of three faulty appliances
I have purchased three separate appliances, all made by Blomberg. All of them have had to be repaired under warranty, and, while this didn't cost me anything, meant disruption while waiting for repair staff.
The repair staff are lovely, but I think that's because they get a lot of practice dealing with unhappy customers. Customer services staff, not so much, but working on Blomberg support helpline must be one of the worst jobs on the planet.
I will never again buy Hotpoint, Blomberg, or Beko. Terrible.
Drum has catastrophically failed
Drum has catastrophically failed, machine less than two years old, still under warranty.called Blomberg about the problem, engineer booked for a Saturday visit.waited at home outside gardening as well in front of home got a text message telling me engineer called but no one home!Had waited all morning for the visit but to be told engineer had been to the property but no one home and had left a card to say he had called.Amazingly frustrating when you know it’s a total lie that the engineer turned up when they hadn’t!!!Probly say try left the card at the wrong address!right then rebooked a visit which was organised for the following Tuesday engineerturnef up to tell the s drum had packed up and failed.then gave us another date for fixing the machine, two weeks later, that’s 5weeks after the problem might be resolved.5weeks hopefully before the machine is fixed.First of all the reasonably expensive machine should not have failed so badly under a good moderately used clean environment.And the warranty is bullshit as it’s not backed up , engineers telling lies about visits that simply happen!!!😱Just a simple waste of our time waiting for someone to turn up and want even trying!!!Disgraceful, awful quality both in reliability on the washing machine itself and the follow up service.Just a bullshit scam on the 5 year warranty Dreadful being lied to and having to change our plans for someone to hate couldn’t even offer the decency to turn up!!!!!!
Waste of your money
I've had this washing machine just over a year, it does not spin at the end clothes come out dripping. I have had 6 engineers out, all telling me different things. The problem has been going on for 3 months This product is a waste of money. I recommend you do not buy. My last post on 18/4/2026 as of 9/7/2026and the machine is still not spinning this product is pathetic.

Blomberg warranty registration
I want to comment on the Blomberg warranty registration for my washing machine.
Do not call the number on the red printed warranty paper, they just want to sell you a service plan. Instead go to the Blomberg website and register there, when entering the serial number miss out the dashes and enter as one long number.
This worked well for me, and I received confirmation via email with a 5-year warranty.
Only just brought the machine so can`t comment on whether I will need to use said warranty.

Blomberg washing machine - home whiz - worked until 1 month out of warranty then major logic failure rendering it unusable. Considering this brand is mid price I’d not pay the extra again, if you google the parent company is Beko, so you are not paying for German quality!

I bought a washer in dryer in september of twenty twenty five in the last six months.The washer has broken four times the dryer has broken three times and has been broken since december with no fix.I am still without a dryer.As of april first twenty twenty six, this company is completely awful.Do not recommend!! The motherboard has gone in my 5 month old washer dryer, been without a washing machine for 2 weeks so far. I have to wait for them to send a new part. How can companies like this sell things that are not fit for purpose, then the customer has to suffer. Still no date so no customer service.
Product registration not working
I tried to register my new tumble dryer online but the form would not accept the serial number. I called them up and spoke to a very helpful colleague who said that the online form has not been working for over three months, so I'd need to do it over the phone. I do not understand why the form is still live, or does not at least come with an advisory note stating this.

Better Buy Bosch
Bought a Blomberg dishwasher in early December after my previous Siemens died after 10 years. Had previously only had Siemens/Bosch before but was tempted by the advice from the sales team and the included 5 year warranty. What a mistake - the dishwasher developed an error within 6 weeks, tripping the electrics and not starting. Contacted the repair team and a further 5 weeks later still not working as the repair service is provided by a bunch of cowboys that did not show up during their two hour slot and failed to make any contact. Just want to return this shoddy product under the Consumer Rights Act. Should have gone for a Bosch.

Bloomberg dishwasher, less than 2 years old, pump packed in and Beko refuses to replace under warranty, which is still valid. It’s a dreadful way to treat my parents who are in their late eighties, promised them it was ordered a d now say they not getting it.
Ombudsman has been contacted, awaiting there response.
FALSE ADVERTISING
FALSE ADVERTISING: I cannot register the Blomberg washing machine in Ireland. The website (blomberg co uk support register ireland) does not allow it and it shows a phone number to ring with the following statement "In the unlikely event that there is a problem with this page then please contact us on 01 903 9740". When I rang it I was informed they can't register over the phone - only online. I got another phone number from that dept to ring: 016910160, they said they don't register Bloomberg anymore - keep the receipt as proof of purchase. I bought the Bloomberg because it offered 3 years warranty.
Just thinking - That might be false advertising, I think I'll try that route.
