Jonathan Kensall made the whole…
Jonathan Kensall made the whole experience very easy and we had a good initial telephone conversion. He explained the process and potential hurdles related to the Party Wall and once I sent him all the information he contacted my neighbors and completed the process to get me a signed off Party Wall agreement and the costs were very reasonable in price and worth every penny.

Jonathan was easy to talk to when describing our situation, and took time to do a thorough examination of the environment, both internally and externally.

We were happy to help you as adjoining owners surveyor for the work that your neighbour was planning on the party wall of your barn. Once we had the notices sorted out, we were able to visit the property to take a chance of condition before serving a party wall award. We are glad everything worked out okay.

He asked all the details, communicated very friendly, pointed out missing parts and completed our agreement in best possible way.
The cost vs service is very efficient and he will be one of my surveyors in the future if we or any of my friends need surveyor again

The best you can get
After having contacted 2 other party wall surveyors, we went with Jonathan and were so right to do so. He came recommended and from the start to the end he was fantastic: informative, clear and simple jargon free, transparent explanations, seeing things from our point of view, doing his best to save us money and achieving this too, and thoroughly personable. We were appointed as agreed party wall surveyors and proceeded to visit the adjoining owners property, take a photographic schedule of condition and then produce and serve a party wall award on both parties.

For this extension there was a need to excavate for a new foundation within 3 metres of the adjoining foundation and to a lower level than the Adjoining Owner’s foundations. Also to build a new wall and foundations up to but not over the line of junction. This required party wall notices being served on the neighbour who dissented and appointed one of Bluegrass Surveying's surveyors to act as Agreed Party Wall Surveyor. We are happy to hear the project is progressing well.

Thank you for your kind review Lorna. We were happy to help you with the party wall aspects of your loft conversion down in South Croydon. Most loft conversions require a party wall notices as still beams will be going into the party wall. Having been appointed as the agreed party wall surveyor and after taking a schedule of condition we were able to serve the award on both neighbours fairly quickly so the work could begin on time. We really hope the project goes well and that you get lots of enjoyment out of your new space.
