Nothing bad could ever be said about these. My coach was Sarah Morton and she pushed and pushed me through the AC and final interview to be the best I could be. I passed the OAC with flying colours and then the final interview prep was amazing. Couldn't fault Bluelight or Sarah one bit.

Amazing experience. Very friendly coaches. English is my second and I managed to pass all the exams and interviews. I just want to mention that I failed the national sift on my first attempt, but once I join the academy, things got more clear inside my brain!

I applied for help from these guys a day after my OAC started when I realised I was in over my head. They were supportive, understanding and I would not have passed without their help. The price can be a bit daunting at first but when you realise it as in investment in yourself then it feels like pennies. I've used Blue Light Consultancy for my promotion board. My initial thought was that it was very pricey, but with the money back guarantee, it provided some reassurance.

Sadly, I am one of the failures. I didn't pass my board, but this was my fault, not the fault of my coaches. I simply failed to put into practice what I had been taught. It was one of those "brain melt" days, where nothing clicked.

My second attempt was a promotion on transfer, and BLC helped me to hone my application. Sadly, this failed at paper-sift, but my suspicious mind thinks that this was due to my length of service and being so close to retirement. The receiving force would have to take responsibility for my pension, and to promote me into their ranks, for roughly 18 months was probably not financially viable. (The first question on the application form was pretty much akin to"When can you retire?", so I suspected that I was on a hiding to nothing). I genuinely believe that, with the help of BLC, my application was really strong, so I don't think it was their fault. It was the system.

Having had two failed cracks at it, I was entitled to my money back and this is indeed was refunded in full.

So in short:
The coaching was great. Really helpful and upskilled me.

From my very first Discovery Call with Matt, it was clear why Bluelight Consultancy has such a strong reputation. They don’t just take anyone on - they genuinely care about your potential to succeed in the Police recruitment process and provide exceptional support from day one.

I signed up for the full OAC course and can confidently say I wouldn’t have achieved the high scores I did without the brilliant resources. My personal coach, Sarah, was incredible - she helped me refine my responses for the Competency Based Interview and gave detailed, constructive feedback that made all the difference.

The ability to join live webinars or catch up on previous ones was invaluable. Every part of the OAC is covered in depth, and the additional videos and learning materials provided clear structures and police-specific guidance that elevated my understanding and performance.

I also chose to sign up for the Final Interview course (the light version), feeling fairly confident but wanting that extra insight into what my chosen force was looking for. Again, Bluelight delivered - one of my interviewers even said “that was really really good” after just the first question!

If you’re thinking about joining blue light academy, don’t just think about it but DO it! I only had 3 weeks to prepare for my DCEP final interview and was so anxious about the whole process. At first, i was skeptical about joining due to financial reasons but now that I’ve passed I’ll never ever look back. The blue light coaches are such lovely people and really just want to support you as much as they can. Brendan in particular was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. I was struggling a little with confidence and he really encouraged me to embrace my passion for the job and he really believed in my ability to pass.

I opted for the lite course so knew I had to work that extra bit harder but I wouldn’t have had a clue what to practice if it wasn’t for the blue light resources and coaches the programme offers. As long as you’re willing to dedicate much of your time and effort into your future career the coaches will go above and beyond to help you.

I feel like an entirely different person in terms of confidence and now know what I can achieve all thanks to blue light 💙💡
