I employed Blue Whale to re-design my website. Many months have gone by, and with each set of documents they presented, there were more and different mistakes. I don't think they understand how to build a website! I went to them for a redesign, and they have not even made a single redesign element. Well, one to be fair. They claim redesign meant fixing stuff behind the scenes (although I have seen zero evidence of any changes behind the scenes so I could not say if they have done anything at all). They refused to lift a finger before I had paid in full in advance. I do not consider this good practice, but acceded to the request to get the job done. I was then expected to pay £594 to simply put the website back on to my existing hosting site. When I asked them to provide the documents so that my friend could put the website on to my hosting site, they provided the documents in such a form that it was inaccessible to anyone but them which forced me to stump up the additional £594 just to get access to my own site. They behaved in a scurrilous manner. And I am very unhappy both with the way my job was handled and with the final result. Basically I now have to pay someone else to do the job I wanted done in the first place. I would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THEM. Sorry to say.

I am a creative person but have a poor understanding of IT and the internet. But I knew I needed a website to sell my books.

Blue Whale Media had a very streamlined process for getting all the details and content that they needed from me. They added in all sorts of 'bells and whistles' (sorry I don't know the technical terms) to make the site work.
