waited almost 2h for nothing

I got sick with the flu and wanted to order food to be delivered so I wouldn’t have to go anywhere. I waited for my order for 1h 40min (I’m a regular customer – usually orders from this place were delivered within 30 minutes). I repeatedly contacted customer support asking why the delay, and they told me they were overloaded and asked me to wait longer. In the end, when I couldn’t stand it anymore and wrote again, they simply offered to refund me without delivering the order. I believe that with such a huge delay, they should have offered the food free of charge. In the end, I sat waiting for almost 2 hours and got nothing, wasted my time, and they refused to compensate me. Now with a fever of 38.2°C, I’m forced to go to the store myself. Terrible customer service!

Don't order..if they fail delivery, no refund, no food either

Delivery guy came at 400 m, refused to come at address,insisted he is at right address when he wasn't,kept calling, hanging up and being rude. He was literally telling me to hurry up to go to him to pick up my food. If I wanted and had time to walk 10 minutes for food, I wouldn't order.
There is no customer service, just bot. My 1st and last order
Never again!

Ordered via Bolt Food

Ordered via Bolt Food , total 22 EUR. The order was prepared quickly by the restaurant, but the assigned courier detoured across the city and marked the order as “picked up” while far from the restaurant. After 30+ minutes in a paper bag, the food was no longer acceptable, so I refused the order at the door.

I opened a support ticket before delivery, but after 1h21m I received a dismissive message telling me to “pay more attention when placing orders,” and the ticket was closed without clarifying any refund. A second ticket was handled by multiple agents who claimed—incorrectly—that I had accepted the order and offered only a 1 EUR credit. The last agent closed the chat immediately after saying I would not receive a refund, while I was typing my clarifications.

Result: I paid 21 EUR for a refused order, with misleading courier status updates and unhelpful, inconsistent and rude support. This is not a one-off; it reflects a pattern of poor service and avoiding responsibility. I do not recommend Bolt Food.

I do not recommend Bold Food Romania

I do not recommend Bold Food Romania. Every single time I placed an order with them, something went wrong. Either they sent me leftover kebab meat that was dry and not fresh, or items were missing from my order. The latest issue was the worst: they took my money, cancelled the order right away, and now I have to wait two days to get my money back. This is unacceptable. They take customers’ money and fail to deliver. Avoid ordering from them.

Bolt is a joke

As a cab driver working so hard to keep up my head above water but these app companies like bolt letting us down very big time. The jobs which we were doing three years ago still we do the same prices compare with loving costs are sky rocketing yet people complain of drivers cancelling.

Last time I use Bolt Food

Last time I use Bolt Food, what a joke. I ordered something that would take max 10 minutes to deliver, but Bolt's system lets a driver that is literally TOWNS AWAY, over 1 hour of him just DRIVING BACK, to go all the way back and get it and drive it to me. The food is literally useless and wasted, like it's completely cold and crap. WTF do BOLT let drivers that have over 40+ minutes of driving time just to get to the location, why do they allow them to take these deliveries. I'm definitely disputing this entire meal. NEVER USE BOLT FOOD.

Bolt food in Cyprus is terrible, they are way to over priced compared to Wolt Also they offer bolt plus and they scam their clients by collecting monthly fees but not delivering to them as priority !! Terrible

Food not delivered+no refund

This happened around 2 months ago. I was waiting for the delivery for more than 1,5 hour and then the delivery checked as delivered. After contacting the support they said that the courier was on my address so they won’t compensate me. Courier didn’t called and neither leaved the message. Support told that I should go to watch if he didn’t left it in front of the building but there wasn’t anything. In order I specifically wrote that the courier should call me when he will be nearby and I will come to take the delivery. So after all this time spent waiting and talking to support. I was hungry for another hour and paid around 20€ for the delivery I didn’t receive. People should really start to work for bolt because at the end of the shift you can just take the food, come to address, confirm delivery and take it home.

Terrible Support Experience — Avoid Bolt Food

Bolt Food support is completely useless. Every time there’s an issue, you’re left with zero help. Couriers can leave your food at the door without handing it to you — and if it gets stolen, it’s your problem. You might receive a dish with an allergen not listed in the menu, and support will just say “that’s normal,” claiming the restaurant has the right to do so and that photos are for illustration only.
It’s absurd.

I ordered via Bolt Food in Romania

I ordered via Bolt Food in Romania. The courier marked the order as “delivered,” but I never received anything. I called him, he admitted he left with my order and said he’d come back, but then disappeared.

Customer support left me waiting with no real help or refund. I have full proof (call logs, screenshots) and have filed a complaint with Romanian consumer protection (ANPC). It’s unacceptable that a courier can do this with no consequences.

No protection for the customer. Terrible experience. I strongly do not recommend Bolt Food.

Worst customer service! Avoid Bolt food!

The worst customer service in the world. It took the rider 37 minutes to deliver my order and I live just a 7 min drive from the restaurant. It turns out their rider was delivering another order for bolt's competitior which took them ages to come down and pick up the order. The food was cold and soggy. They called me a liar for stating that the food was cold even though it was in the rider's bag for almost 40 minutes. They closed the ticket and ignored me. Please avoid them and use Wolt. Very professional company. Nothing to do with this dodgy bolt food. I'll leave them a bad review everywhere I can and all top of I'll publish this experience on my YouTube channel to expose those scammers. This company is bad that they won't bother replying to their reviews.

Péssimo serviço

Péssimo serviço. O sistema informa um tempo de espera, mas depois atribui vários pedidos ao estafeta sem avisar o cliente, fazendo com que o tempo de entrega salte de 10 minutos para mais de 1 hora. Falta de transparência e respeito com o consumidor.

UN ADEVĂRAT RAHAT! Servicii foarte proaste... Ei nu au un agent, dacă trebuie să contactați suportul trebuie să știți engleză sau, ca alternativă, estonă!
Tipii ăștia sunt nebuni!
Am plasat comanda la 22:10, și deja după ce am plătit spuneau că livrarea va ajunge la 23:35 (O mulțime de timp... pot înțelege... să așteptăm!) Apoi încep ceva ce nu am mai văzut... de la 23:35 aplicația spune că livrarea va ajunge la 23:45, apoi la 23:50... și apoi chestia asta începe până la 00:45. Am încercat să contactez serviciul clienți... am încercat să îi contactez pe chat, unde evident răspunde un bot... în final era să mănânc la 01:00. Deci un serviciu cu adevărat slab, de evitat ca ciuma!

Unacceptable Service – Order Delayed Over an Hour, Then Cancelled Without Resolution

I ordered from Bolt Food at 10PM. The restaurant had the food ready by 10:40, but no courier was ever assigned. I waited over an hour with no meaningful updates—just automated support replies telling me to “wait.”

The order was finally cancelled about midnight, leaving me without food and no time to order elsewhere. I got a refund, but Bolt refused to offer any compensation or take responsibility for the poor service. Completely unacceptable experience

Horrible experience with Bolt

Horrible experience with Bolt! Despite the restaurant being a 5-minute walk away, the courier was 15 minutes late and refused to bring my food to the door, making me walk down from the 4th floor. After waiting outside for 5 minutes with no delivery, I went back up, only to have the courier waiting at the wrong apartment. Customer support was unhelpful, connecting me to a useless AI before finally routing me to a human agent who told me to wait and then closed the chat. Avoid Bolt and choose Wolt instead!

Vergonhoso e lamentável - recuso usar de novo

Lamentável todo o processo, desde a entrega ao apoio técnico.
Começo por informar que foi um verdadeiro pesadelo o último (sim, último e para sempre) pedido nesta plataforma e, tenho de recuar a 14 de maio quando do um pedido que, segundo indicação da plataforma podia demorar entre 10 a 20 minutos
Passaram os 30 minutos e nenhuma informação sobre o pedido. Aos 40 minutos, começo a ver o estafeta já com o meu pedido mas por paragens a, cerca de, 1km do meu local. Nessa altura contacto o suporte técnico com a questão da demora e, sobretudo, com a questão de o motorista andar já longe de mim para efetuar uma entrega. Neste suporte nada fizeram senão enviar mensagens automáticas a informar que estavam a verificar toda a situação. Fui fazendo prints e enviando para a conversa com o suporte. Sempre no mesmo sentido, a verificar. Ao fim de 1 hora e SMS a entrega, liguei para o motorista. O qual não percebia nada do que lhe dizia, ou seja, percebi depois não falava português e pareceu-me que não percebia nada também. Eu disse, na aplicação que nesta altura já não queria a comida pois estaria fria e sabe-se lá como andava pós já tinha percorrido kms pela cidade de Coimbra. 1h:10m toca à campainha o estafeta, com o pedido, deixei subir e eis qual não é o meu espanto, os sacos de embalamento todos violados "Burger King". Respondo imediatamente que não queria aquilo e que levasse de volta, o estafeta sem falar quase nada disse que não que a compra estava feita e que a culpa era da Bolt. Tirei fotos e enviei para o suporte e, imediatamente, deitei tudo no lixo. O quanto me custou pois há demasiada gente a passar fome e eu a deitar comida fora. Após 40 minutos no suporte fizeram um reembolso de 1,50€. E que fariam o restante num prazo máximo de 14 dias, percebi eu. Nada até agora e já nem respondem no suporte. Hoje mesmo tentei contactar e estou há mais de 1 hora à espera que alguém me diga algo. Em português nada e pedi em inglês que seria mais breve e... Nada.

Unprofessional Customer Support

Dear Bolt Food Support Team,

I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding the handling of my recent issue by your customer support team.

On 6 May, I placed an order via Bolt Food in Limassol, Cyprus. After encountering a problem with this order, I submitted a complaint the following day, on 7 May. Initially, I was informed that compensation would be provided, although the amount was never specified. When I followed up for clarification, I was suddenly told that compensation was no longer possible due to the time that had passed—despite my complaint being submitted just one day after the order. I reviewed your terms and conditions and found no reference to such a time limit.

To make matters worse, the support team began offering conflicting reasons for refusing compensation, without ever clearly explaining why I was no longer eligible. Even more concerning is that the support team showed no real intention of resolving my issue and has since stopped responding entirely. This dismissive attitude toward a loyal customer is unacceptable and deeply frustrating.

Over the past month alone, I placed 35 orders and paid for a Bolt+ subscription. Despite this loyalty, I was treated with indifference and ultimately ignored. I am deeply convinced that any company committed to providing customer service cannot and should not operate in this manner.

I have kept a record of our entire correspondence and now expect this case to be reviewed by your central support team. Please provide a clear and justified explanation of your position, along with a reconsideration of the compensation that was initially offered.
