Great experience
ordered two special edition books and they came in perfect condition - loved that I was able to get US editions in the UK without extra charges! will definitely shop from here again

Great selection, but delivery and communication need improvement
Excellent selection and very reasonable prices, especially for New York Review Books. Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the catalogue.
Delivery took two weeks, despite none of the books being pre-orders, and the website did not make expected delivery times clear. I had to chase my order more than once, and communication was disappointing throughout. I was also going abroad and was concerned it would arrive whilst I was away.
They were polite in their replies but I received no proper explanation for the delay, no ETA and no tracking details when I first chased up my order. I was simply reassured that it would arrive before my birthday, but that date came and went and I had to follow up again.
I prefer supporting independent businesses, so I wanted to have a positive experience here. However, if the delivery times and communication continue to be handled this way, it is not good for the business and may put customers off ordering again.
I would still consider ordering from them because the selection is genuinely excellent, but customers should be aware that delivery can take longer than expected and communication could be much better.

Having reviewed this for you, I can confirm that the titles in your order had estimated dispatch timeframes of 6–7 working days. As these are estimates, they can occasionally be extended slightly due to operational delays.
I can see that our customer service team advised that we would do our best to have the order with you in time for your birthday; however, no guaranteed delivery date was provided.
Your order was scheduled for dispatch on 20th February, but due to a high volume of shipments on that day, it was dispatched on the next working day, 23rd February.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment caused, particularly given the importance of the occasion. We appreciate your understanding and hope to provide a better experience for you in the future.

fast service perfect condition
Book arrived fast and in perfect condition,
it was packaged extremely well.
Plus it was almost half of the official price!
Will definitely use them again.
