Over THREE months of listing all sorts…

Over THREE months of listing all sorts of ISBN on books and not one was accepted. And the site as a new, awful look. Impossible to use from a desktop. Lots of other much better options.

Avoid

The books I sent arrived at BookToCash on 12/11/25 and as of 1/8/26 I have not received payment. During that time, I sent 3 e-mails to attempt to find out the status of the payment. No replies.

On 1/8/26, I did use the chat session and while I was waiting for a reply from the chat my e-mail indicates I have been paid. The chat session left me waiting 24 minutes for a reply. I will take the money and run.

The company does not have a phone number listed. So, all communications are confined to e-mail or chat.

While the company did pay more for some books, it is not worth the effort of attempting to do business with BookToCash.

No payment made for book received

My order date was 11/25/2025 and the company received my book on 12/01/2025. No payment was issued. I sent an email on 12/30/2025 requesting an update regarding payment and received no response. Very poor service!

SCAM

They took my $350 textbook and never paid me for it. There are better, authentic companies that I would recommend utilizing over these people. No responses to emails. Definitely a scam.

Edit*** The fact that they claim to have no record of it is the scary part. Their claims with the Better Business Bureau speak for themselves.

Horrible business

Sent them the book and when I didn't hear anything after a week I emailed them. No response. Emailed again a week later. Didn't respond. I filed a complaint with the Texas AG office. About 3 weeks after book was delivered to them someone emailed advising they made payment to my paypal account. Don't believe their claims of payment within 7 days. And as you can see some other people here have reported never getting paid. I don't expect perfection but I do expect communication.

On one occasion when the payment I received was lower than the bid, I reached out and received an thoughtful response, as well as the remaining payment, promptly. Good, human service.

There are better buyback places out there

My buyback order was received 10/16 and the status was received. I have inquired 2x about payout, but as of 11/7 I have still not been paid nor have gotten any responses when I emailed to ask. I didn't even receive an automatic reply saying that my inquiry was received.

Horrible service - won't use again

Placed an order to sell books but when I went to package them up, the weight was underestimated. I couldn't use the label. I canceled the order & sought help with the online chat. Chatter told me to replace the order & tell him the estimated weight. I waited 20-30 min for that help & no response. Will not use this company again.

Shipped them 1 book which was marked delivered on 8/22/25 using their shipping label and now it’s 8/31 and there’s no payment or response from them.

Update. After this review and emailing them, they quickly paid me. Updated to 3 stars.

This company offers decent prices and pays as stated. As a small family business, payments may fall through the cracks but it has been my experience that they always make things right. I will gladly sell to them again.

Sent book to Book to cash via shipping label they provided and never received payment for the book they bought from me. Sent email to customer email provided on website and never received a response either. I won’t be doing business with them again!

This company does not make payment unless you chase them down. I have sent books to them a few times and every time it is the same thing. So only send BookstoCash if you are prepared to beg them for payment.

Helpful for First-Time Users

Some of my older books weren’t accepted, but I appreciated the clear explanation for why. The payout for the accepted books was fair. The payout wasn’t the highest, but it was reasonable for the effort involved. I’ll likely use this platform again. I was pleased with the updates I received during the processing phase. Knowing the status of my books was helpful. Some books were priced higher than I thought they’d be, which was a pleasant surprise. It’s a fair system overall. I was happy with how quickly the process moved. The free shipping option was a big help, especially for heavier textbooks. I had an issue where one book was marked as damaged, but customer service resolved it fairly. Overall, a good experience. While I hoped for slightly better prices, the convenience of not having to list books myself made up for it.

I fear that I might end up like a lot…

I fear that I might end up like a lot of these other reviews. Sent in my books weeks ago and it says they were received. Emailed multiple times to ask for confirmation on when my payment would be sent and no responses back what so ever. Wish I would’ve read this reviews before sending my books to this company.

Not paid for buyback order

EDIT: A few days after this, I did receive my payment and email confirmation!

My buyback order was received 7/29 but as of 8/20 I have still not been paid. When I tried to email today I got an automatic reply saying that the email address is not active, and I can't find another way to contact the company.
