Boom Driving School Avis 

I am thrilled to share that I passed my driving test today with only 3 minors! All thanks to the amazing Sophie! Despite having tried various instructors in the past, Sophie was the one who made me test-ready with just 10 hours of practice. She was extremely patient and supportive throughout the learning process, which made it both enjoyable and stress-free. I highly recommend Boom Driving School for their great team, including Ian who conducted my mock test and Jess who is always available to help over the phone. Thank you, BOOM!!!

I had around 8 lessons with Alex who was an amazing instructor and exactly what I needed to improve my confidence and get more familiar with driving around Banbury. I felt like I progressed far quicker than I had previously and I was always able to get lessons whenever I was home from uni. I passed my test this week with no minors :)

Instructor didn’t show up to 3 lessons and they’re refusing to give them back. They’re ignoring my emails and saying they’ve done a full investigation when they clearly haven’t. Very disappointed.

My last email stating that I need a full review on the steps you’ve taken on your investigation as I was not satisfied with the results has been left on seen for 16 days.
And the reason I didn’t get in contact as soon as it happened is because I messaged my instructor first to which she didn’t answer and I waited for a reply the same time I had exams.
I’ve sent full proof of my instructor not showing up to lessons which was fully ignored. You say I chose to not be in the car with her when she was ill but that was not the case. She moved the lesson on to a day where I already had a lesson scheduled which I have not been compensated for. In the message it clearly states that I said I don’t mind being in the car with her but if she’s not feeling well then I don’t mind moving the lesson on. But my instructor isn’t my issue at this point, it’s the way my complaint was handled.

Be aware. Same owner as Nearway Driving who went in administration after taking the money for courses knowing that they will go bust and leaving people without thousands of pounds. Same might happen again with this school. Shame on you Neil.

I would be cautious with this company, their sister company Nearway Driver Training just went bust. Still booking courses and taking thousands of pounds when I'm sure they could see it coming.

Don't pre-pay for anything.

The response is poor. The director for Boom Driving School is Neil Ridding, the same director taking money from customers when he saw his company failing at NEARWAY Driver Training. This information is publicly available and there is no hiding from it

Boom Driving School has made finding a good driving instructor easy. Lucie is a great teacher, she’s always supportive and has space for my lessons despite my busy schedule. I was taught the basics of driving first which lay a perfect foundation for me to be able to approach the more challenging parts of driving. Lucie was always by my side giving me pointers on how to improve the drive not just for safety but also for ease of driving to prepare me for when I’m out on the road alone. Hi, I recently passed my driving test on the first attempt, and I owe a huge thank you to my instructor, Manuela. From day one, she was incredibly patient, supportive and dedicated to helping me become a confident and safe driver. She always took the time to explain every concept thoroughly, ensuring I felt confident behind the wheel. Manuela’s encouragement and expert guidance made the learning process more enjoyable and stress- free. If you’re looking for a driving instructor who is not only knowledgeable but also caring and supportive, Manuela is your person. Thank you Manuela, for being such an amazing instructor!

I had a few lesson with manuela sima she was good until Thursday 7th March she accused me of her having a wet seat and charged me £100 to clean a little seat I do not appreciate being accused of what she said had happened I had my lesson 2.30 till 4.30pm she messaged me 4hours 8.45pm what don't sit right as she would of had other in that car of hers after me she kept £160. I emailed boom 7th March and not had no reply or acknowledgement of my complaint and find this unprofessional. I am angry with what had happened to me bad experience I was recommended this company.

I had Alex for my instructor, he was amazing at teaching me all the correct techniques to help me pass my test first time! He was very professional which helped me understand the feeling for the real test.. thank you Alex!

I’ve been with Boom for the past year now, and passed today with 3 minors.

My instructor Richard Cole was brilliant during my time with him; very patient, friendly, and very thorough. Couldn’t recommend him enough.

On Friday 16th I passed my test 1st TIME all because of Alex. You can't ask for a better instructor than him he is calm and patient and he knows what he is talking about would 1000% recommend Alex and would have never passed 1st time without him.
You also get Excellent service from Boom Driveing School team and can not fault them 👌

Amazing service. Simon was so easy to work with and was truly hilarious. No matter the situation, Simon was always cool and understanding, allowing for a comfortable learning environment should any mistakes be made. I maintain that he is the only human on earth capable of being calm and reassuring when there is a 40 ton truck hurtling towards you at a roundabout. Realistic setting of goals allowed lessons be as efficient as possible, with no time wasted. Highly, highly recommended :)

What amazing instructor Alex is!
I’ve spent years and money with other instructors and never got test ready, but after 10 hours with Alex was test ready, Alex is was so calm, patience and great sense of humour.
Passed second time with him after the nerves overpowering me on first attempt that resulted into a fail. Highly recommend boom driving school( Alex in particular ) for anyone who wants to pass quickly.

My driving instructor was Manuela. She is superb🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Despite I have driving experience for over 10 years outside the UK, she was very thorough on explaining the standards etc & also making sense all of that standard. She took time to listen to you and gave honest opinion. As a result I only have one minor fault.

Also the car that I used for the driving test was in an excellent condition. Definitely recommend both Manuela and Boom Driving School!

Boom and Simon my instructor is absolutely fabulous. Calming your nerves and relating to you so well. Fair and firm. A teacher.

Simon was a fantastic driving instructor not only was he great at his job but he was kind patient and friendly and made me feel so comfortable. Best instructor I’ve had :)

Alex was an outstanding instructor. He helped me with everything I needed to know with enjoyable lessons and he went above and beyond to ensure I was ready.

Alex was a fantastic instructor. He was always very calm and patient. His knowledge of the road and cars is brilliant, and he gave a holistic and rounded education on driving. He has a brilliant way of explaining things; at one point he spent half an hour of his own time talking my mum at 10 o'clock at night.

Absolutely Brilliant 🤩
I had Jolie as my driving instructor and took all my lessons with her. She gave me a lot of confidence which helped me to prepare for my test today, which I had passed thanks to her. I definitely recommend Jolie to anyone who is preparing to start lessons 👍
