Awful mobile service.
Really poor company. Terrible customer service that offers no solutions. Similar to other users here I tried for nearly a week, spending hours on the phone, to port phone over. Gave up in the end and went for another more reliable company. Same price, ported same day without issue. No refunds offered. Absolute waste of $30

Phone number still not transfered after 2 weeks
After 2 weeks, my phone has still not been ported over to Boost and I'm being told the same lie every time I contact the customer support. I am wasting an hour every day to talk to them trying to resolve, but they're not willing to do anything to speed things up. I still cannot use my SIM card, I had to extend my current phone plan in order to not lose my phone number.
I am now unable to make any phone calls. Worst experience ever, I would not recommend them.

Good service. The new app is terrible. Better recharging via SMS, which you can’t do now. The app loads a website to recharge. Bad.

Porting my Optus plan to Boost from 27th Dec 2021 and today 17th Jan 2022, still I can not make outgoing call, no access to mobile data. Very...very bad customer service only promising for nothing.

Have dual SIMs of Vodafone and Boost and Boost claims full access to Telstra network but often get 1 or zero bar compare to Vodafone 9/10 get 3 to bars of coverage in most metro area. Semi rural areas, Boost is not much better than Vodafone neither. Full access Telstra network seems false advertisement. Areas test include Brisbane, GC and Sunshine coast. Very disappointing coverage.

Over 12 months to respond?
Just received a response to review made in May 2021, yes that's right it is now August 2022 well over 12 months, they have outdone their previously mentioned incompetence, also had already changed provider anyway.
Had to update payment details for auto recharge very confusing and charged me twice. Called to try and fix it which was even more difficult there ridiculous call menus try and stop you speaking to anyone and when you do you are met by incompetence.

I used Boost prepaid intermittently for connection on mine sites because it used the telstra system. After a period of non use the number unlisted but I was able to regain it after a call. Now I can't do the same, can't ring, can't message because their site says to do so on the message button which no longer exists. Tried to get a new sim and number. Call from a home phone gets a menu which ends up with "we have sent you a message to this phone with an internet site connection where you can message with a customer client officer". Seems you need to make an appointment just to get to message with someone which is probably a bot anyway. Needed a mobile to receive the message. Pity if I was looking to get one. Oh, that's right, I was.
Telstra own boost, they hate people using boost and this is just another way to pretend they are providing competition but not.
Don't bother, just google Aldi mobile plans. They hose all over boost, and telstra.
Strike a blow, just go down to an Aldi store and simply walk away with the best deal on the market, and the best part is it uses telstra's own service coverage. Hang them with their own rope. And I regret I can't give them no stars.

Appalling service
Appalling service. They would be significantly better off with no service people. It's not possible to speak to someone and the chat people just waste your time asking you to do do irrelevant tasks and then they take 5 to 10 minutes to replay to what you write.

Once they got your money, you are nothing to them
As a customer service consultant myself, I do my best to treat people with respect and a sense of understanding. unfortunately, these are not the words or emotions Boost consultants are familiar with.
I ordered a prepaid sim 3 weeks ago to replace my current card. never received it, called them to ask about the status, was told the card has been delivered and there is nothing else they can do. I then requested for a refund, the consultant told me i have to return the card which was never delivered back to them before they can issue the refund.
I spoke to 4 different consultants, asking them for help, not a single one of them cared. they speak down to you as if you know nothing. once they got your money, they don't want to know you or help you.
oh, by the way, when they tell you everything would be documented on their file, don't trust them. because when I called back again today, they said no interactions have been recorded.
I still have not got my money back, and not bothered to contact me at all.
Stay away, people. do yourself a favor. go with a reputable company.

Disgraceful company and customer service
I attempted to contact customer service about about a promotion that was not past on when I recharged. To say the customer support was appalling would be an understatement. You can not actually talk to anyone, you can only message. To add insult to injury you must first message their automated message service and that system will decide if you can actually message a 'real' person. I say 'real' because they are actually no more helpful and about as caring. And that's when they bother to reply. You can literally wait for hours to get a one sentence response. Absolutely disgraceful service. I'm left stunned that this company is still in business.
DISGRACEFUL SERVICE
I ported my number last Thursday and purchased a 12 month $270 SIM card. The SIM arrived quickly. The Porting an utter disaster. I have tried since last Thursday ( includes at least 9 hours between Friday and Sunday) to get my number ported with all sorts of unintelligent answers as to whyy it wouldnt port. Finally, Monday morning at 9am afer another hour my number ported however, no credit on my phone. Its now 11am monday morning and im fighting to get the credit on my SIM with unbelievably bad service. Just dont do it

Great coverage. Heaps of data. So so cheap. Very happy and highly recommend.
CRAZY amount of data, great network speeds
CRAZY amount of data for a low price using Telstra's infrastructure. I live in a built up area, and still manage 100mb a second. Good value prepaid plans (data and free international calling etc.), and the best coverage in Australia (via Telstra).
Beware other providers who give you huge amounts of data with terrible network speeds (which makes the data useless). Boost is not like that - it's brilliant value.
