BricsCAD is affordable, fast, and easy to use. What really stands out is the company’s great support and constant helpfulness— they keep improving the software in ways that make my work easier every day.

I think it is good value and works well for everyday design tasks. I appreciate the support and steady innovation, but some features feel less polished than in bigger CAD platforms. Still, it’s a solid option if you want affordability and regular improvements.

This is not about the product. Based on my experience I wouldn’t buy from them no matter how good the product.

Interviewing at Bricsys – Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience

The initial stages with HR were smooth and professional. The recruiter was responsive, and the screening process was handled well.

However, the experience took a turn during the interview with the local Sales Manager (ANZ). Early in the conversation, he made a sweeping comment implying he “knew my type” – suggesting that as someone from a corporate background, I wouldn’t actually do any work. I had to stop him and point out that I had successfully worked remotely before, which clearly demonstrated my ability to deliver results independently. He then had to point out he’s worked remotely longer - 11 years! Congrats! You win! Just wanted to help you succeed not compete with you.

This kind of stereotyping was not only unprofessional but also dismissive of my experience and achievements. I could say more, but I’ll leave it there. Unsurprisingly, I never heard back from the recruiter after that.

Bricsys, if you’re serious about attracting strong talent, I encourage you to ensure your interviewers uphold respectful and unbiased standards. Candidates deserve better.

I trialed Briscad Lt CAD software for a few weeks, I was happy with the app so I paid for the perpetual app. After half a dozen requests for the registration code which yielded nothing I am out of ~ $800 CAD. This company is non responsive and is a unethical vender.
