Honestly if i could go back in time i would save my money.

I was so excited to go to NCT but we spent the first 2 sessions talkomg about labour, and a quick 5 minutes on c section option, mad considering the c section rate is up to 50%.

Third session we were putting nappies on teddies. Clearly this is for people who have never seen a baby before. If you cant figure that out you should rethink having a baby alltogether.

I thought they would all be local people but other couples are from all over the place.

The only part im hoping is of use is the baby first aid. We shall see.

I did the antenatal course in September 2025 in Fishponds, Bristol. The course was very one dimensional. If you end up having a c section (which currently happens 50% of the time in the UK) you'll quickly realise the course was basically useless. The trainer spent a lot of the time asking us "do you know..." questions followed by a long awkward silence or the occasional poor answer attempt. Which obviously is a pretty dumb thing to do since the reason we're attending the course is because we don't know the things she was asking us about. Incredibly frustrating and clearly shows a lack of an up to date skillset on how to deliver a course to a live audience. No brochures or hand outs given and we were asked to make our prop babies out of towels... I did a free nhs course as well and baby dolls and really good reading materials were provided. The first aid session was very good but this was provided by an external entity and not by the amateur running the course. The sessions are pretty late, which if you're in the late stages of pregnancy you'll realise you'll be knackered by then and won't be able to retain much information and will spend most of the session thinking of how much you'd rather be in bed. Honestly, don't bother.

The course was really informative - the instructors were experts in their field as they were practicing midwives and we felt that it was evidence-based and that no one agenda was pushed (just factual information was given to allow us to make our own informed decisions).

We also loved meeting great local parents-to-be and making amazing friendships so all in all, I would highly recommend this course to all expecting couples!

This is my second pregnancy, and after attending antenatal classes with my first, I knew I wanted to book again. The first course I took provided great social support post-birth with the other women I met, which was invaluable.

I thought the Bump and Baby classes were fantastic! My previous class was in a church hall with a lovely teacher, but she wasn’t very charismatic. In contrast, Carrie was incredible—full of information, extremely supportive, and covered more topics than my previous course. Being a midwife herself, her knowledge was second to none. The atmosphere felt much cosier in the pub setting, making the experience more relaxed and fun. Her great sense of humor made everything even better!

Even my husband, who could only attend a couple of sessions, noticed the difference and commented on how engaging and informative Carrie was. I would highly recommend these classes to any expectant parents!

I wish we had chosen a different course. Everyone was disappointed with the course. Even completing their review form will result in no feedback. The lecturers were not skilled in running a workshop, they had little confidence and the first aid was, Im sorry to say embaressing. Honestly it was just a mess of a course. 5 mins for only those who hadnt changed a nappy before to give it a go, no interactiveness, so no ideas about positions to help with giving birth. I cant stress how unimpressed both I am everyone on the course was. When one couple couldnt make the social after the course, they took away their £6 bar tab so that the rest of us couldnt enjoy it. Just nothing like the vibe the website gives off.

This course advertises itself as inclusive, yet this was far from the truth unfortunately. Language used, a focus on the relationship with your partner (assuming there is one), and sending partners to the pub so women 'feel comfortable talking about tears/stitches' felt it belonged in a course from a decade ago, I was appalled. The saving grace was the fantastic first aid session, but overall I was extremely disappointed and would advise investing your money elsewhere.
