Julie and Daisy handled the lease…
Julie anf Daisy handled the lease extension and sale of my flat.
They communicated promptly and clearly throughout the process and were far, far better at getting things done than previous solicitors I've used.
The one fly in the ointment was that the funds to cover the Leasehold had to go through the usual anti money laundering checks which, given it was coming from my parents, ended in them having to travel down to Burton's office to have their IDs checked, a full daytrip.
My issue with this is that at the end of the process the funds used to cover the lease extension came from the sale, so that entire trip was completely pointless.
In the grand scheme of things this is a small gripe though, and I wouldn't hesitate to use Burtons again.

While we appreciate that, in hindsight, the trip may have felt unnecessary, these checks are an important part of our legal and regulatory obligations.

Having used Burtons Solicitors previously under recommendation from another solicitor, I was more than happy to use them again for the conveyancing of my ex-rental.
