Less than 1 star actually

Less than 1 star actually. The 101 continuously disappoints. Always late and full. Worst service from some of the male drivers. They would rather wait in traffic 1 feet from the bus stop instead of letting a passenger in. Absolute disgrace!

Absolutely a joke and the CEO getting…

Absolutely a joke and the CEO getting praise all over LinkedIn for being amazing. Advertising service 32 new timetable to benefit the customer.
Today 50 minutes late arriving in Castleblayney to Dublin. My 3rd complaint in 3 weeks and a email response wrote no doubt by AI. All management in Bus Eireann organisation and said CEO should resign and take up a role more befitting to their experience . As for bus Aras station , some of the drivers , and the ground staff who are sitting on the shelf of a locked up glass office dressed literally as if they have just crawled out of bed barking at guests who require information. It's disgraceful and an embarrassment to Ireland .

Bus air conditioning broken today on…

Bus air conditioning broken today on the 245 on one of the hottest days of the year the upstairs of the bus must have been up to 30 degrees like a sauna. Sort out this issue asap this is not only dangerous for people with health issues its also very uncomfortable for people paying to use this bus. I personally felt dizzy and sick and wasnt the only one. If this happens again i will be going further about it. Sort it. Every bus needs air conditioning.

343 at shannon town hall on 5/7/2025 at 11:19 when it should have arrived at 11:23 so I had to run to catch it. Get on the bus and my leap card is not topped up fully. So like I've done before said I'll top it up and come back to him in 1 min, but he said no ans kicked me off the bus. Ignorant driver. Bus eireann make interest off thr leapcard because you always pay ahead of time so you think they would have some room for these situations. Would have had it topped up and paid before the next stop.

It is no wonder we have a issue with public transport when 9/10 they are late and when they are early they are like this.

I have been stuck many times in the past with a no show bus and haven to pay 50 euro for an uber to get home because of lack of services and alot of cancelled services.

Absolute joke of a company

Absolute joke of a company, couldn't get on the bus because the card reader wasn't working and the driver wanted exact change and wouldn't take a 20 euro note (the ticket was 15.50), told me he would wait so I can go get change but left the moment I walked out the bus. I have a friend from a 3rd world country who lived in an active warzone and he was surprised at how bad public transport was in this country, I would give 0 stars if I could.

Not allowed on the bus. Card only and no change for large bills

Just got off a flight and was trying to get the airport bus to limerick from Shannon. Cash only which is crazy. So I had 50 euros but this was not acceptable as the driver had no change. He would not wait for 2 minutes for me to get change in the airport shop. This is just bizarre. This is the first experience for a tourist in Ireland. Is it a third world country?

Route 2 is an absolutely disgrace

Route 2 is an absolutely disgrace, multiple services are constantly cancelled without notice. I rely on this bus for work but it’s completely useless and has made me late multiple times. Buses are always filthy and bus drivers don’t do much about antisocial behaviour. If Wexford bus increases its services on weekends I will definitely be moving to them permanently.

Horrendous

Dreadful website - completely confusing.Apparently it's mpossible to locate appropriate timetables with ease. Exhausting and lengthy waiting times for customer support on the phone, I gave up. For a state run facility they should be ashamed.

Disappointing days

Bus Éireann is very unpredictable there customer service is mad and several times the w1 has dropped me to the key and left me stranded one of my closest friend had to take a taxi witch is not ideal as it id much more expensive. I found this very disappointing and disgusting honestly I’m sick of it I can’t relay on bus Eireann it’s honestly terrible.

Rubbish customer service

Rubbish customer service, when my friends and I hopped on the 301 bus we specifically asked is this bus going to UL 4 times, he said yes, next thing we are driving in circles for 2 hours, so we ask is it going to UL he says no, we are not happy as he said yes four times previously, therefore we asked for our money back he said no and cursed at my friend, we felt disrespected in many aspects of this event and we walked back to our starting point in despair. Never taking a bus again!!!

The 105 to blanch is dreadful always so late and one time the bus driver refused to let me and my friend on because we weren’t Girl Scouts we were at the top of the line and it was rainy and dark keep in mind we are young girls bus driver was an Indian man and left us on the side of the road

absolutely disgusting activity bus driver drove right past me and my friend as we were signaling for him to stop and after he drove past i continued to chase him and basically got hit by a car because of that bus driver it’s disgusting that he would do that to a young girls this was the bus driver on the 30/5/25 at 9:04pm and it was W1 on ballybricken

Route 225 Watergrasshill to Cork

Route 225 Watergrasshill to Cork , as scheduled 2x buses wasn't arrived at all ,was waiting for 3+ hours to back home, no taxis to get possible too! I probably lucky I got in bus 23.30, it's also random time! Hope never again to use this route

Extremely Late

Extremely Late, we had 30 min buffer and the Bus still managed to be 30> min late , there was no information anywhere how much delay there was on any App , we were left in the dark about if the Bus would even arrive, I cannot reccommend this Bus Company in any way!

Extremely hot in 109X

Extremely hot during to air vents not working in 109X (16.05.25) going from Dublin to Cavan. It's not the first time when this happens. What I've noticed is that Bus Eireann is using Breakdown Maintenance for large issues like engine failure, bearings failure, etc. but for anything else there's no maintenance at all. Them vents are broken for very long time, so people travelling regularly are using their own fans connected through USB ports. Third world.

Good luck trying to commute with these

Why on earth do you keep using the wrong bus for the 101 route, honestly trying to get into/home from work and seeing a sunsundegui on the tracker makes me lose hope I'll ever get on. Either that at peak times or you get on one of the old livery buses speed limited to 60kph in an 80. This is a huge problem if say you cant get on at Balbriggan, in which case you're now 20 mins late or more for work.

Let alone random buses getting cancelled and throwing the entire "timetable" into complete chaos. One day it took me 1 hour 15 mins before I got on, let alone get home. That's 4 buses completely full or cancelled.

Between being constantly late, taking me 3-4 hours daily trying to commute, being harassed and stared at by some weirdo because I'm queer, having to listen to drunk loud people, and all of the other nonsense I have never had a better reason to get a license, so I never have to deal with this "service" again. Hopefully I get it soon.
