Bus Éireann Avis 

Can you hire more professionals as drivers, please ? The driver has left the main bus stop in the town almost 10 minutes before scheduled time in the morning when people relay on the service to commute to work. This is the second time within a week when I am an hour late to work, thanks for such a pro service.

If I could give no stars I would!! Being a mom you never get to go out as is but the one time you book a concert and are looking forward to the evening with your partner the bus DOESNT ARRIVE! Over 45 minutes standing in the lashing rain and neither of the two buses arrived meaning we did not get to go to the concert or our dinner reservation meaning we’ve lost out on both of those expenses also! Safe to say I would leave a negative review on every playform if I could. Will never be using the services again. Disgrace of a business

On Tuesday 29th October, went out on the road to get the 08.45 111 from Athboy to Dublin, after waiting half an hour it hadn't arrived. went back into the house and it then sailed by half an hour late!
Then got a lift into Trim to get the next 111 09.45 to Dublin, it never arrived. then at 10.40 i boarded a 109 to Dublin. Because the 111 never showed the 109 was packed and many people on the routed were unable to board because the bus was full. Absolute terrible service to people.

Zero star joke of a service. Thank you that I am one hour late for work just because the scheduled bus didn't show up, YET AGAIN. Not to mention that a "standard" delay is between 10 and 30 minutes if the driver will not leave the stop 5 minutes earlier occasionally.

It's getting almost impossible to take the bus going to town or else where in Limerick. They don't show up on time, and when they do, they just don't stop for anyone because the buses are either out of service or some bus drivers simply drive away. And if it is night time you can expect to wait for almost an hour or so. And I am talking about many dates, not only one! It's a total lack of respect! Unacceptable!

nothing went I didn’t go on a bus , BECAUSE there is no bus to my destination . they need to make a bus to bohermeen immediately. There’s so many people out there who need this . I find it hard to get to work and I lost two of my jobs because I have to no way to drive and I have a invisible disability so I cannot drive . Also my best friend cannot drive from a long term injury and she has six children at home that have to be homeschooled because there’s no bus from navan Co Meath To bohermeen and boheermeen to Navan .the closet bus stop I can get to is tankerdstown . And I have to walk to that bus stop . kind regards♥️

Here we are in 2024, in one of the richest countries in the world, where in many cases one can even pay a beggar on the street with your bankcard, you can't use your bankcard to pay for your ticket on the bus. Cash only or with a so-called leap card. How is that possible? Who is still walking around with cash these days!!!
In any case, for those in the know it is no problem, but for anybody coming to visit... This is a nasty little surprise.
On top of that, bus timetables cannot be trusted. Bus 109a from Dublin Airport to Kells show times that do not match their online timetable or the timetable showing on Google... Another weird little twist and
I saw a gentleman escorted off the bus by the police the other day because he could not understand why he couldn't pay by card, had been waiting for over an hour already because of a faulty timetable and refused to leave. Nobody stood up to help the poor man out... And I am ashamed to say, nor did I (although I did not have cash on me I perhaps could have done something more than watch on in embarrassment).

Today i was in a rush from donegal to cavan excluding the fact i paid 20 something euro even though im 15 i paid in a 50 euro note and the bus driver gave me 20 euro and said ill get my 8 euro in the cavan bus station. EXCLUDING THIS the bus was meant to be there at 8.45 i knew it was usually late but it was late on purpose the bus driver took a "5 minute break" at the petrol station approximately 1 km away from the bus station at 8.48. If the break was 5 minutes id still get there in time (the bus to clones was at 8.55) but the break took around 15 minutes. This is one of the first bus drivers that took a break at the petrol station and not the bus station. I wanted to fet of the bus at the petrol station but guess what i still didnt get my 8 euro back. After all i got my 8 euro back and the bus arrived more than 20 minutes late not bad for a 2 hour trip THIS WAS THE X BUS 💀🙏

worst ever bus service in ireland route 115 is like lottery but usually you lose.Sometimes comes somtimes dosent.

If I could give a minus score I would it is a diabolically ran service whoever is in charge of these buses I can’t understand why they are being paid because whatever job they are being paid to do they are clearly not doing, in cork a bus is never on time especially the 205. I once walked from Brookfield down to western road and walked the whole bus route of the 205/208 for 35 minutes to the metropole walking by every bus stop and not a single bus passed me not even a 220 on the first half of the trip. It’s a joke of a service and people need to be sacked and get someone in from a country that knows how to run a basic bus service!!!

I wish I could give zero stars, terrible company altogether. Website is an absolute nightmare, tickets cost €38 and then they charged me €19 to cancel my trip, you can’t buy return tickets on the bus, only singles???? Can anyone explain this to me? We must be the only service in the world that only allows you to buy one way tickets, “sorry the machine doesn’t allow me” the driver informed us. Get a grip guys

Worst service ever, 401 bus in Galway simply didn't show up after displaying on the live app for 20 min just went off so I'm still waiting for the next one. Will be late for work because of this. Never in my life have I've seen such an unreliabile service, zero starts, avoid at all cost.

Expressway is a vary bad services to Wexford they come when it suits them or dosent turn up at all highly recommend to stay away from them use Wexford Bus company always on time always shows up always reliable

Bus Eireann must be the most incompetent national bus service ever.

I had booked a flight from Knock and needed to get the bus to Ballina, the bus was supposed to arrive at 09:30, a bus arrived at 09:45 with the destination signed for Dublin Airport. A number 23 came a few minutes later, again destination Dublin Airport. I then observed all the people waiting in the queue for the first bus went to the 23, I asked why didn't get on the first bus the bus driver told them the 23 was going to Dublin Airport.
By that time I realised the first bus was going to Ballina the bus had gone. It cost me 100 euro to go by taxi to get to the airport. I made a complaint to Bus Eireann, they acknowledged receipt of my compliant then nothing. They are a disgrace. A great opportunity for another company to take over this crap bus company rarely are buses on time. Boycott Bus Eireann!

Sorry for the one star, you don’t even deserve that one. How is this company still doing business is beyond my comprehension. The bus is NEVER on time, the drivers are very rude. I’m fed up being late to work constantly because of this jokers, I’ve complained before, nobody in that company gives two hush about their customers. It’s actually a company suitable for the third world countries. I hope it will disappear from the market the sooner the better. Shame on all of yous in charge in this joke of a company

Bus Eirenan Terrible services. They always late they can't be trusted I actually rather pay a taxi to go wherever now these days because the service is getting worse . Then when the bus comes 20- 45 mins most days they still charge u the full amount. It's a disgrace to the people of Ireland that we have such poor transport services and nothing been done about it. I had to be some where yesterday bus was 45 mins I rang Galway and the lady told me the bus would be at least another hour . How can we keep jobs if we have to go to work then we loose wages and not even a sorry from bus eirenan.wake up people we need to do something about rural Ireland before we are forgotten about..

This company is not tourist friendly.the buses do not take card payments, so you have to pay cash. You can only get singles, not returns. The timetables are confusing as they don't tell you the route numbers and they can be on both sides of the road.

I would honestly recommend avoiding them as much as you can after my two experiences with Expressway. During my first trip the driver told me he would not let me in with a ticket purchased online as the bus was about to leave, charging me 50% more in cash without no receipt or tickets provided, same happened to other foreigners! The second trip was a hour late, forcing me to reschedule a trip for which I had already paid the deposit. In both occasions I tried to get in contact with the customer care but it was a joke.

Cork bus 220 is always full and the waiting takes decades! 220 should be every after 10 mins especially if there’s school or college!

The people driving these little yellow and green buses think they have a god given right to pull out in front of you had an incident yesterday with an angry little man driving one I appreciate its a stressful job driving round in circles bored to death but no need to be so abusive
