Scam site

Awful nonexistent return process that draws out the process so you don't meet the 30 day return window as you wait for email response. First of all the quality is extremely inferior, its giving halloween costume vibes from 80's. After attempting to return 4 dresses and a "leather" bag from this company I've reached the conclusion no one actually reads the emails and the company lacks transparency/integrity. The products received are not of good quality, have a strong chemical odor and don't even appear to be the same items shown online. This was a classic bait and switch. They took my $240 and have no intention of actually letting me return the items. They offered me several options for return including a keep the items and pay $15 for replacement per item, keep items get 10% returned to my method of payment, keep items and receive 50% store credit, or return items and have 15% restocking fee subtracted from the refund +pay all shipping and custom duties to China. I would have never ordered from this company if I knew it was an online scam site masquerading as a boutique.

Worst experience ever with online ordering.

No idea where pkg was coming from or when it would come. Items poorly made of poor quality fabrics. One item not the color I ordered. Offered 50% credit on another order. Why would I want more of the same poor product? Other options unacceptable. Steer clear. Many other legit businesses.

Overall horrible experience

The shipping tracking was vague and unhelpful, The “orthopedic” (not at all!) shoes arrived after 13 days, the shoes were poor quality (cracked trim and elastic hanging off of them! I have photos), and the returns process was expensive and painful. They say they will respond within 48 hours but I submitted my return request 5 days ago and still don’t have instructions on how to return them. They’ve already told me they will try to charge a 15% restocking fee and I have to ship them back to China. I’ve submitted a transaction dispute with Bank of America over this scam company.

Deceiving 30 day return window.

Do not buy from this company! Unable to return the dress I bought. The day that it arrived I tried it on and it is too small and cheaply made. I immediately sent a request to the customer service team to get a return label. I did not want to miss the 30 day return window. The team replied back 48 hours later telling me to keep the dress and I could get another one for no cost but I would be responsible for $14.95 for the shipping. This was not what I wanted. Who wants to keep a piece of clothing that is too small and cheaply made? I replied back now 3 times trying to get a label for the return and they are ignoring all of my emails.
After further research I have learned the item would need to be shipped back to Asia. Also, there is a 15 percent restocking fee.

This company By Mayberry is a SCAM, they do not exist in the US, they have falsified addresses, phone number, they take your money immediately and make you wait. I have not received anything yet. The company and product reviews are horrible. Look them up on YOUTUBE "Mayberry North Carolina Review: Is Mayberry Clothing Legit or Scam? Nothing fits, poor quality, they ship to you for free and want you to pay to send the product back to CHINA! That alone is a scam and not professional! Do not shop here. Share this with everybody. Poor quality, horrible return options & misleading company info in the US

Similar to other comment on this site, I would not recommend buying from this company. Their website is very professional and gives the appearance that they are in North Carolina company, which are owned by two Belgian women. I find this to be extremely misleading.

I received seven items from Mayberry and wish to return all seven due to inferior quality of the clothes. None of them had tags in them and upon trying to get a refund and numerous emails back-and-forth, I was presented with options that were impractical. The choices I was given was a 10% refund and to keep the clothes, a 50% store credit refund to use at a later date or to return them in their original packaging to China paying all shipping, tariff and export/import costs and incurring a 15% restocking fee. After conducting the research on sending them back, it would’ve cost me almost 80% of the cost of the clothes to get them there. None of these options were good and I don’t want someone else to fall into the same trap I did.

I reiterate do not buy from this company.

Scam! When will I learn to check reviews first?

When will I learn to check reviews first?! A $70 shirt I ordered in size 2xl instead came in a size 4. I can't even get it over my head. I contacted Mayberry Clothing who initially seemed cooperative offering a 50% discount on other items or paying approximately $15 to mail the shirt back for a replacement. Since then, what is clearly AI, has been giving me the runaround repeatedly requesting measurements and pictures. Given their reviews I'm not going to waste any more time, chalk it up as a loss and next time try to check reviews before acting on impulse. What a scam!

ByMayberry.com. sells shoddy craftsmanship and doesnt care about the people or the products sent. I unfortunately did not read the reviews until after I saw where they were being shipped from. I was so excited, because the shoes looked unique for what I wanted and stated they came from a place dear to me, Mayberry NC per the website. You need to understand the level of disappointment upon seeing that they were coming from China, not NC, took longer than promised, shipped in a BAG not a box or anything durable, which crushed part of the shoe's construction, AND the left foot can't be worn comfortably due to it being sewn at an angle. Do not get me wrong. Both shoes looked unfinished, per the picture they were supposed to represent. That is all unacceptable.
The return options given, once I stated my grievances, are laughable. 1-A discounted cost to get another pair of shoes: 2- 10% refund 3-50% refund for store credit, 4- full refund but i must pay all costs associated to return the shoes back to China. I guess you have to do it that way so you don't go out of business, because there are soo many people who require a full refund. I have read so many reviews, some worse than my issue, and I feel anger on their behalf, because they were taken advantage of for trying to buy something nice for themselves.
All of bymayberry.com's return responses have been generated by AI, confirmed with my "is it AI?" App. How disingenuous. Another reason that proves your company doesn't care. I am sure I will receive one for this response as well.

I HAVE been emailing back and forth with your company, since I received the shoes in March and all i have received are the options on how much money you will klnot give back and apologies. Apologies stopped meaning anything without follow through and that is all you seem to want to give me and the other people who have ordered from ByMayberry who received shoddy work, if they received their order at all. I will say that I chose the 10% back, option#2, to get something back without having to put more money toward it.
It seems that you know your products are bad if you have to start these responses with AI and only when you are called out do we get the option of talking to a real person. I am getting really tired of all of the scams preying on people who work hard for the little money we can get.

Cheap and a Rip-Off

I bought three pairs of shoes, which were horrid; I could not even bring the bag into the house, and the shoes smelled like gasoline. They were made of cheap plastic and material. The dress I bought was nothing like the image; it was made of thin, cheap material and printed with a distorted image, nothing like the website image. They say they are in North Carolina, right on the top of their website, but in reality, they are located in China. Any returns are dragged out, so you can't get your returns to them within the 30-day timeline. They do not answer their phone. I just threw the items away, a 250.00 loss, serves me right to make a purchase without doing my research.

A Scam Company

If I could rate this a BiG FAT ZERO I would. This company is a Scam. I purchased a dress that look if though it was made out of recycled thin paper!!! I’ve purchased Shower Curtains better quality. Returns is a Very Very Sad Joke!!! You need to send to China though you order through a local company in the states. I needed a custom slip just to send to China at a cost of over $40 dollars!!!! The dress didn’t have tags to tell you what it was made of or how to clean because it’s a true piece of Nothing!!! Please Do Not Buy From this Company, because they are Scammers!!! Do not believe the online pictures, it’s just to lure you into their bogus Purchase!!!

Extremely poor quality the product does not match any of the description. You can never get a hold of anybody for a return then they’ll try and get you to spend more money for a replacement product. That’s just bad so just know you will be out whatever amount of money you put into this product, you will be out because you will not be pleased with the quality or the sizing. It’s just bad. This whole site should be taken down. Not to mention your product will take over three weeks to get to you.

Don't buy from them!

purchased two items and fabric was horrible, it was so itchy from the first touch I didn't bother putting it on.

Noticed after ordering the item is no longer found on the website.

Trying to contact them and their return policy is fully for them and not helpful.

Cheap garbage you can't return!

The item pictured look high quality but they are cheap, plastic and impossible to return. This is a buyer beware situation. Make sure you search for company reviews before ordering items online- it only takes a moment and will save you so much headache!

The Worst Ever Shopping Experience

Bad bad experience. It took almost 3 weeks for the order to come. The tops were not what the picture showed. They were incorrect sizes. I had to return them but their return method is absolutely ridiculous. You have to email them first for returns. They get back to you with several options. How can you agree to any of their offers of discount if the tops don’t fit. Finally they sent me a form to fill out and they said I had to send the returns to their international warehouse in China. I have to pay shipping and customs charges plus send it through a carrier with tracking number. By the time I pay the international shippings charges and a 15% restocking fee, there is little left to be refunded. PLUS THE ITEMS HAVE TO GET THERE WITHIN 30 DAYS FROM THE DELIVERY DATE. It took 5 to 6 days just to get their email instructions. Don’t buy from this company. Plus the products are not made here in USA. Their name on the website says Mayberry, North Carolina. False advertising. I’m totally frustrated and beyond annoyed. The WORST EVER EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE.

WARNING*** I order some clothes on line and when they arrived the quality was very poor (example: bathing suit had no elastic in the bottoms). I asked for a return and it has been very difficult due to an AI response. They requested that I send images with the labels and packaging. This is a little tough since they were shipped via YUN Transport and not one item had a label; however I had the packaging. I have asked for a second return and after some research plan on turning them into to better business bureau for imported goods. Do not buy from this company. If you purchased on a credit card advise your bank so the company can be blocked . The company has a Belgium Address sponsored by China.

Scammed out of $175

I purchased clothing and sandals under the assumption I was dealing with North Carolina company. Come to find out through reviews and return item address, they are not US based.

My items arrived close to a month after I placed my order. I tried everything on immediately after they were delivered. Nothing fit and the sandals were cheaply made.

I sent an email to the company after reading their return policy. It indicated a 15% restocking fee, which I found reasonable. It took three days before someone named Michelle replied. I was requested to take pictures of the sizes of all the items to verify they were the right size. And I was offered to return the items at $14.95 per item, which would have amounted to $75.

I replied back that the sizes were correct, but they did not fit right and sending the items back at that cost was not an option. I requested a refund and agreed with the restocking fee.

No reply since then and that was 4 days ago. In the meantime, I keep receiving advertising emails offering discounted prices. I did note that the email replying to my refund request did not show any company information at the bottom, which is a clear indication this company is not operating honestly.

I doubt that I will see a refund and have filed a scam compliant with the BBB.

Always, always check out the reviews on any company, especially online ones. Just keep complaining and sharing experiences. Hopefully, it will help shut down scam businesses like this one.

I see that they are doing canned replies to those that gave them a one star rating. I suspect I will receive the same.

A complete ZERO!!
Same story as others..items not depicted as website. CHEAP CLOTHING, Sizing is completely off, ZERO customer service. If this is not a company from the U.S., why does it take so long to get items and why do you have to return items to Asia???
BEWARE. What about all the fees? Customs, etc.? STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

4.15.26 UPDATE.....

I did contact Mayberry North Carolina on 4.8, the day after I received the items. and they STILL have not responded to my email for returning items. Responding on Trustpilot does NOT mean they have responded to my email! It looks like they are avoiding me and making sure 30 days are up to refund me.
BAD COMPANY! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
