Was stuck just off my driveway CAA said…

Was stuck just off my driveway CAA said about an hour. 2 hours later I called the again. Apparently the tow truck driver wouldn’t drive in because there was about 2 inches of snow in the driveway. There were tire tracks from friends car that had just left & Andy’s Towing in Uxbridge had no trouble getting me out. NOBODY from CAA ever called to tell me they weren’t coming & they considered it a used call. I will never use CAA again, useless service.

One star is too generous

One star is too generous. Extremely unprofessional and unreliable. The service was disorganised and the communication was poor. I would strongly recommend staying away from CAA.

My friend and I waited in her car for…

My friend and I waited in her car for caa to come in Oshawa at the baskin ribbons . Her car needed more gas to get back home the service man was very unprofessional to fill her car with gas and was very standoffish from the start the way he acted towards us. I told him that her bank card was frozen and couldn't buy gas at petrol Canada. We barley made it home with what little gas we had left in the tank with the gasoline light on in her car. The truck member 204 should be fired from caa now. General hummel out

Waited for 2 hours for a tow truck to…

Waited for 2 hours for a tow truck to come, it was midnight and still had no update that there was even a driver assigned to me let alone when one might come. I was stuck in a parking lot. Had to call a 3rd party tow company, costed me $200 despite having a CAA membership which would have cost me nothing. But the 3rd party tow arrived in 30 minutes so guess when CAA has your money they make you wait 3+ hours no matter where you're stranded.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. I had a tough night with two flat tires…

I had a tough night with two flat tires on February 18th, 2026. I reached out to CAA for help, as this was my first time calling since I joined in 2024. The operator told me that a towing truck would arrive within 30 minutes to an hour. But surprisingly, four hours went by, and no one arrived. I tried calling them again to follow up, but I was told I already had an active call. When I asked why no one was coming, they said they would contact the towing truck, but still, no one showed up. It was really frustrating to experience such poor service. I wonder how I can address this issue and ensure better quality in the future.

No customer service, extremely slow service

Roadside assistance is extremely delayed. There seems to be no one in customer service to talk. Just some recorded voice. When agent finally called, no apology for delay. Horrible service. Not useful. Cancelling membership.

DON'T BELIEVE THE 200kM TOWING LIMIT FOR THE PLUS MEMBERSHIP, IT DOESN'T APPLY WHEN TOWING YOUR VEHICLE FROM YOUR HOME! IN THIS CASE THE LIMIT IS ONLY
100 KM AND CAA KEEPS THIS LITTLE TIDBIT A SECRET!

Save your money

Called about 7 this morning and finally driver dispatched at 10am. Told call centre person it was private road but we'll plowed. Driveway was well plowed too. No texts at all until subsequent call and then I got 4 texts. Driver drove for more than an hour then turned around when saw private road sign. He called but hung up after 5 or 6 rings. I was outside and didn't answer in time. I called back but got generic caa line. No way to contact. Road is beautifully maintained and 1 1/2 to 2 lanes wide. We get lumber trucks, septic pumper trucks and fuel delivery trucks all the time. After said debacle I contacted private tow service and no problem. Save your money. You're better off with cdn tire service plan.

Terrible service

Terrible service. Waiting over 24 hours for a tow. Called multiple times. No one can give a timeline . Chad was terribly rude. Looking into Canadian Tires or another service for towing

If there were a 0 star I would put…

If there were a 0 star I would put that. You can never get anyone on the phone. The website doesn't work. If you cant log in and you want to change your password GOOD LUCK. They tell you an email with a code will be sent I am still waiting and it is 2 day. If you manage to go on the phone they keep redirecting you to the website, the supposedly BRAND NEW WEBSITE. My suggestion don't bother joining if you want any assistance...I've been a member for 20 yrs....Can't believe the deterioration of this organization. I have been on the phone for more than 30 minutes on hold waiting for someone to come on, just so can change my address which I have no other way of changing.

Id give then 0 stars if I could. The worst service and the worst company ever. Waited over 5 hours for someone to come in -20c. Whoever they subcontract should not be used. Caa has ruined their name and reputation here in canada. Go canada GO

This review would be -10, if I could

My AWD system failed and I could not get out of my driveway that has a slope to it. I called CAA south central Ontario Monday at 6 pm and was told it would be 24 hours at most. I live in n. Ontario, but for some reason CAA has put our area into south central Ontario CAA. I called multiple times Tuesday and was told one tow company was overloaded and the other had an equipment breakdown and would not be ready until late Wednesday afternoon at the earliest. I was also told that my assistance would come from the n. e. Ontario CAA club. I was also told that I could call a non CAA tow company, pay the bill, and they would “consider reimbursement”. I called one of the non CAA tow companies who said they could come out for a $350 charge. I asked if I could get a receipt for reimbursement from CAA, he said of course, but I would likely only receive $100 at most, and probably nothing. I called CAA again and relayed this and CSR said they know nothing about that because it comes from their claims department, not CS. Later Tuesday, I got a call from dispatch in Winnipeg that they should be there Wednesday afternoon. On Wednesday morning I called again to see when they might arrive. I was told by the automated attendant that the request was cancelled, …………on Monday night. I finally, after 30+++ minutes got a CSR Supervisor. She said the call was cancelled Monday night, soon after my first call, because the service was coming from the n.e. Ontario CAA club, but I was in the south central Ontario CAA club. When I reminded her I live in n. e. Ontario, she had no answer. When I told her about the reimbursement consideration, she repeated that it came through claims and that wasn’t her department. I said to her, as a CSR Supervisor she’d never heard this before, she had no answer. I was done. I paid for 5 years for this situation and I got nothing. I would have been ahead $200 had I not bought the CAA membership and paid the $350 non CAA tow. I cancelled the membership and after a lot of pushing, I was given a pro rated refund. Stay away from CAA, especially the CAA south central Ontario club, especially if you live within ~130 km either north or east of Sault Ste. Marie. You will wait on hold forever, and likely receive service in days, not hours. Stay as far away from these people as you possibly can.

Giving one star because no star is not…

Giving one star because no star is not an option .
Tried to get car insurance today ..horrible customer service.. agents don't call back ...finally after a number of unanswered emails and failed attempts to contact agent being told they need pictures of the vehicle...this is now 7 PM pitch black and freezing cold ... at no time during the day they mentioned this . Nobody is willing to help ...STAY AWAY FROM CAA ...wil cancel membership

Horrible Service

I had a engine problems away from home (under my 200km that I pay for) was told they would only take me 30km and that would take 48 hours! Luckily I renewed under 30 days ago and was able to cancel for a full refund. Absolutely ridiculous paying for a service that may or may not honoured on any given day.

They’ve been collecting my membership…

They’ve been collecting my membership fees for years they’re saying there’s a 30 km limit, even though I paid for a plan that covers up to 200 km.
After almost 24 hours I am still waiting with no answer.I was told I can go throw third party. Not gone renew my next year membership . I wished I could give 0 star

Paid for 200 km Coverage, Told It’s Only 30 km When I Needed It

They’ve been collecting my membership fees for years without any issues, but the moment I actually need to use the service, they’re saying there’s a 30 km limit, even though I paid for a plan that covers up to 200 km. Is that fair? then when I asked to file a complain they left me on the line for 26 minutes without response
