The delivery was much slower than …
The delivery was much slower than expected. According to the website, I ordered my gift basket in time for Christmas. However, shortly after placing the order, CD contacted me stating that my gift would not arrive until 12/26 and asked if I still wanted to complete the order. I appreciated the heads up and confirmed that the 26th, while not ideal, was acceptable. The shipment did not arrive until 12/30.

Ordering was seamless
Ordering was seamless. I ordered from the UK for delivery to my son in San Francisco and asked him for a frank opinion. Delivery was very prompt and the packaging was lovely but apparently the contents were a little disappointing in terms of the quality of the wine and cheese.

First experience was a failure!
While Anna in customer service did a great job ensuring the shipping issues with the carrier were eventually resolved, California Delicious never owned up to shorting my order by two gift baskets nor did they offer a direct apology/customer amenity. Being that this was my first time trying California Delicious, it didn’t seem they cared that the order was shorted nor that I got my missing gift baskets (only thanks to Anna) late - two days after Christmas! Spending over $200 in a purchase should deserve better ownership of a mistake. This review would have been one star had it not been for Anna.

California Delicious saved Christmas!!! I sent the Taste of California basket to my Dad in Washington State, and accidentally put the wrong billing information in. They shipped it on time, two days before Christmas, and made sure it got to his front door, fixed the error through an email, and were incredibly professional and friendly. Thank you guys! He LOVED the basket and all the wonderful things it contained. You saved me!

Placed my order at 12:30 a.m on …
Placed my order at 12:30 a.m on December 22 (which was 6:30 p.m December 21 west coast time). Paid to have it delivered overnight. Received an e-mail the next evening saying I had missed a cut off and it would be delivered on December 26th. Nothing perishable- absolutely no reason they couldn't have delivered it by Christmas Eve. I paid for overnight for a delivery that took 4 days! I'll never order from them again
