The low dust
The low dust of hemp bedding is great! I tried other hemp bedding and is not as clean and absorbent as the Carolina Coops bedding.

It’s designed to stay clean, absorbent, and flock-friendly—and hearing it outperforms others you’ve tried is the best validation we could ask for. Your chickens are officially living the good life!
I don’t leave reviews often
I don’t leave reviews often, but Carolina Coops earned this one. The customer service was incredible! They took their time walking me through everything over the phone — from helping me choose the right product to offering thoughtful tips for my silkie flock. I’ll be a returning customer for sure, especially for their Premium Hemp Poultry Bedding.

Tried the hemp pellets in my run
Tried the hemp pellets in my run, which is wood chips on dirt and was a bit smelly for the first time. Next day it smelled like sweet green hemp! Used 2 bags in my California 4 x 15 run. Might add more as winter continues. So far I recommend it!

Thank you so much for trying our new hemp pellets and sharing your experience! We’re thrilled to hear how quickly they freshened up your run—there's nothing quite like that clean, green hemp scent.
We really appreciate the recommendation and your feedback as we roll out this product. Your flock thanks you, too! 🐔💚

Excellent ladder
I ordered the chicken ladder; I didn’t want the typical ramp. I was amazed first of how quickly it arrived. Then after studying the ladder I was amazed again of the quality. Before my husband passed he did woodworking. Even he would be impressed at this ladder´s construction. It is sturdy, good looking, and built to last. Thank you for such a fine product!

Thank you so much for this beautiful review. We’re honored that our chicken ladder made such a great impression, and it means a lot to hear that someone with a woodworker’s eye would appreciate its craftsmanship. Our team puts a ton of care into every piece, so your words truly hit home.
We’re also glad it reached you quickly and that it’s already living up to your expectations. Wishing you and your flock many safe (and stylish!) trips up and down that ladder. Thank you again for choosing Carolina Coops!
Going Above & Beyond
Carolina Coops has gone above and beyond- not only with their amazing coops but also with their customer service afterwards. We had some issues with the heated watering system and reached out to CC. They responded right away, and kept trouble shooting with us until we were able to get it fixed. As new chicken owners, we had more questions about set up and again they answered all of our questions right away and checked in on us afterwards to see how things were going. I truly feel like CC's treats its customers like family. The coop itself is absolutely amazing and truly super efficient- from the heated water bar system, feeder hopper and deep litter system. It has allowed us to focus on enjoying our chickens and not just the upkeep. I highly recommend using Carolina Coops! It has been worth every penny!

Tracy, thank you so much for this incredible review! We’re thrilled to hear that your experience has been smooth from coop delivery to getting everything dialed in. Our team genuinely loves helping new chicken keepers feel confident, and we’re glad the troubleshooting paid off and your heated water system is now running like a champ.
It means a lot to us that you felt supported every step of the way — that’s exactly the experience we want our customers to have. And we’re over the moon that your coop setup is making chicken-keeping easier and more enjoyable.
We’re honored to be part of your flock’s journey — and we’re always here if you need us! Thank you again for the kind words and for choosing Carolina Coops. Enjoy every minute with your chickens! 🐓💛

We have been loving Carolina Coops for close to 20 years
We have been buying Carolina Coops for about 20 years. I am a professor who does breast cancer research- I move for my job. Every time we move, we buy a new Carolina Coop. They are the best.
Totally secure- we have not lost a hen. Very well constructed- no matter how much use - everything fits perfectly and looks gorgeous. The coop we bought is very special. Our Altadena house and coop all burned in the Eaton fire in January 2025. We saved all our hens- not much else- and headed up to a cabin we have on Vashon Island. New coop for the hens on Vashon (rush order, thank you Carolina). This coop is for our rebuild in Altadena. We wanted the first thing we rebuild was our Carolina Coop. Now everyone can come home. We love Carolina Coops

Victoria, thank you for sharing such an extraordinary story — and for trusting us with your flock for nearly two decades. We’re honored beyond words. Knowing that our chicken coops have been part of your journey through multiple moves, careers, and life transitions means more than you know.
We’re so sorry for the devastating loss of your home in the Eaton fire, and incredibly moved by the resilience you and your hens showed through it all. Being able to help with a rush-order coop on Vashon, and now with the coop that will stand at the heart of your rebuild in Altadena, is something our whole team takes to heart. The fact that your new Carolina Coop is the first thing you’re rebuilding… that truly humbles us.
Thank you for your loyalty, your kindness, and for letting us play a small role in bringing your flock “home” again. We’re always here for you — and cheering you on every step of the way.

I love Carolina coops
I love Carolina coops. They have been exceptional for all my chicken needs. I have purchased perches and the nesting boxes, both which were made with high quality materials and constructed flawlessly. I also use the deep litter method and always purchase the hemp bedding from them. The prices are fair for this level of quality. I am a customer for life.
