Amazing experience
Fiona and the team at Carter Jonas have been an absolute dream when coming to look for mine and my partners first rental property together! Great Service
We used Carter Jonas in Oxford, England to rent out our property and I was overall very satisfied with the service they provided. I didn´t have to do any chasing as things progressed nicely in a timely manner and they were very good at getting back to me with updates. Their rates were also much better than the other common letting agencies. The only small thing that can be improved is the delay between tenants paying the rent to Carter Jonas and the day it is received by the landlord, if that can be reduced it would further increase the satisfaction. But overall I would recommend Carter Jonas.

Great efficiency of the Wallbrook Gardens
Just moving in Wallbrook Gardens a couple months ago, I am glad that staff here works efficiently and professionally. Whatever issues my flatmates and I encountered would be replied immediately by them, making us concentrate on our work and enjoy our lives. No need to worry about for a day because the concern disappears after we get their support and assistance in a few hours. Many thanks for everything.

Happy Days
We are 1 month in with our 12 month lease. We are loving the appartment and making full use of the amenities (Gym, Work space).
Mass and Amrita are extremely helpful and friendly. We may well extend our stay :)

Great customer service
We've rented with Carter Jonas for over a year before moving out, and have no complaints. Customer service was very good, and Maddy and the team were easily approachable if we came across any issues!

First Class Service
We recently sold our house through the Newbury office of Carter Jonas and they were absolutely first class. We were lucky enough to have Ed Westmacott acting for us and the service we received was faultless. Not only was every query dealt with speedily and efficiently but also in a friendly and personal manner. Ed skilfully steered us through the whole process professionally and painlessly. We recommend him very highly indeed.

I have just sold a property in Winchester as executor of an estate. Robert McLaughlin could not have been more impressive. Professional, knowledgeable, communicative and a pleasure to deal with. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He went the extra mile all the way through the process.

Appalling Customer Service!
My partner and I went to view a rental property with our children. We decided we loved it and put an application straight in and received the acknowledgement email. We didn't hear anything following this so we chased it up... and chased it up .... and chased it up! .... Carter Jonas kept making excuses, 'we've come through to the wrong department', 'the agent dealing with us isn't it' etc etc. They just NEVER responded, awful way to treat a family with young children who were excited to move into their new home. You are dealing with people's lives! Never known anything like this. Presumably we weren't strong candidates for this property but actually telling us would have been appreciated! We went by a little while after and new tenants were already moving in. Appalling services!.
Further Notes: Carter Jonas has asked for more information twice now, again without even acknowledging it being sent the first time so I won't be wasting my time sending the information for a second time.

Awful service
Awful service! I went to view a house with my 17 year old son and we really liked it. We dealt with Nyah from the Shrewsbury office and I got the impression that she immediately discriminated against us. She was giving us false figures to try and put us off saying the deposit was higher than it worked out at, also that the council tax was 2 grand higher than it actually is! It was as if she did not believe we could afford such a house. Then told me that as we are both self employed we would have to prove income for 3 years. As I knew this was not correct, my husband phoned a few days later and she told him self employed was fine and we’d need to provide bank statements for 1 year for referencing and would he like to apply for the house. He asked why she had told me completely different information and she got completely defensive and then said we could not apply. Good luck to the landlords with her being in charge of managing their property.

Sam Jarvis was brilliant in the acquisition of the rental for our 2 bed property in Fulham. We wouldn't be living where we are now if he wasn't as quick and efficient with his email replies, always giving us in depth and great answers for any questions we had regarding the property. Naturally, renting somewhere for the first time in London was a tough experience, but having an agent like Sam who was extremely helpful and understanding with his replies made the process so much easier. Couldn't recommend more :)

A Big Thank you to Robert McLaughlin from Cater Jonas, Winchester Branch, who has been extremely helpful with the purchase of my new property, and gone above and beyond to make the deal happen
Robert’s knowledge of local area is outstanding We are relocating areas and know very little of Bursledon and surrounding areas. We felt like we had known Robert for years, yet we had only having met him once.
I can’t recommend Cater Jonas enough.

I put up with Carter Jonas managing my…
I put up with Carter Jonas managing my property badly for 10 years, made several complaints and they did try and rectify. Recently sold the property through CJ as I had difficult tenants at the time who refused viewing access. Only solution was to allow the tenants to leave which CJ did without my approval. The sale eventually went through after 10months. During that time the property was empty but CJ said they would keep an eye on it as I was 4 hours away. Utilities have not been closed down properly by CJ despite them telling me they did it, had letters from bailiffs and now a £2k electric bill for an empty property.
Use another agent!

Great service
Despite being worried about finding a flat in London in the current state of the housing market, CJ made it easy for us to view the flat, did not pressure us to make an offer which made us feel comfortable, and when we did decide to make an offer they, especially Sam, were helpful in letting us know next steps. I also emailed several times with loads and loads of questions which were all answered quickly and with clarity which made me feel better about the whole process.

Absolutely horrendous letting agent
Absolutely horrendous letting agent. They carefully prepare paperwork to trap you and squeeze money out of you. They intentionally hide information and make false promises. They have no value to a good tenant who have paid monthly rent always on time for years and they will slap you showing certain hidden conditions if you want to leave the property. Beware! I rented a tidy commercial site to Railtrack by means of Carter Jonas as their agent. It was for a year. Carter Jonas were allegedly managing the licence and agreed reinstatement of the site afterwards. From the beginning it took 6 months to get the rent. The site was left in March 2024 like a building site, with so much debri left that it is impossible to rent out again in its present state. The person from CJ tasked with checking the site at the end of the rental period, just didn’t bother and now says there’s no evidence that was how it was left. ( I will not mention her name at present as she does appear to be trying to get me a contact number for the main contractor responsible for this mess ) Sam Dean,from CJ, who had taken over as my contact for the deal, now says he knows nothing about it, in spite of emails from him in June apologising for his lack of action. He refuses to answer the phone to me or reply to my messages. How professional is that? CEO - Richard Bruce take note. You are employing a bunch of USELESS CLOWNS at your Warrington office, who seem to think that once they have got the business, they can ignore the promises they have made and deny all future responsibility.
Never has it proved so true - the saying that self praise is no recommendation. DO NOT believe the hype of this amazing, professional and efficient company. Nothing could be further from the truth. My contacts at Carter Jonas, Warrington, have proved totally useless, lying, and will promise anything to get the business, and produce NOTHING. I dread to think how much Railtrack are wasting by employing this bunch of cons.

This company discriminates
This company discriminates. I enquired as to viewing a property to rent. I was told that in order to be considered to rent the property I would have to pay 12 months rent up front. This is due to their vetting system being based on earnings not household income. As a full-time working lone parent I rely upon my income being supplemented; despite earning an average UK wage. Carter Jonas don’t count universal credit or any other income supplements when considering your affordability. Thus, discriminating against lone working parents. I have rented all my life, my current property is the same monthly rent as the property I enquired about and I have lived there for 7 years; paying the monthly rent without fail. I was told I wasn’t able to view the property and was made to feel ashamed. Please avoid this company if your circumstances are that of mine- their are other estate agents who value equality and diversity and basic human rights.
